Living That Valentine Life

We're 2 days away from Valentine's day, and even if you're your own Valentine this year, you can still live that Valentine life with some pretty cool home decor!

Style - Living That Valentine Life

Magnolia is in a new-to-me event called The Countdown Room with the cute little Window To My Soul decor set! It's a console table and a shuttered "window" with a heart for the wall. I like empty tables sometimes so I can add all my own stuff! There are 2 different windows, too. I'm using the music heart one for this photo. The Countdown Room only lasts a week, so hurry on over!

Second Spaces is in Collabor88 this month and bringing us Amor! I'm using the Amor couch and the Amor wall art [modified to be a bit smaller] for this photo. There are different prints in the wall art, and different colors for the couches, and also armoires that match everything.

Happy shopping, valentines!

Hey Boy, You Got Me On My Tip Toes

Hey! Did you know The Arcade opened?? My family loves to hit it up the first couple of days because we like to sell things at our yard sale [sorry, shameless plug], but also because we just LIKE STUFF! This round is my first time really getting to play in forever because before, I couldn't see anything since my computer was so old. My husband is AWESOME, though, and he got me a LOT of things! Like my Erratic sweater that I thought I'd NEVER get! I woke up this morning so happy!

Hey Boy, You Got Me On My Tip Toes!

I don't think I can ever take the Hazel Oversized sweater off, however, because it's GOT to be the most dang expensive sweater that I own now! But I also got a lot of socks! I love the Eva holiday socks, also from Erratic, because they are just sooo pretty and fit SO well! But can someone tell me what boots work with these socks, please?!

If you haven't spent all your money on gacha, don't forget that FaMESHed is open, too! I'm wearing the Holly hair from Wasabi Pills because I couldn't resist it. Not only is it cute, but it's got the same name as my RL kitty!

Happy shopping!

There's an art to life's distractions

Sometimes you just don't want to do anything, am I right? You just want to hang out, sit around, distract yourself with looking out at the trees and grass. And you know what? That's TOTALLY okay! You need to do that sometimes!

Style - There's an art to life's distractions

Fri.day released the new Maggie boots for Collabor88 and I squealed in joy when I saw them! The boots themselves are so pretty, but it's the cute cute sock tops that just make them perfect! The sock tops are detachable and can change colors with a HUD.

Coldlogic released some coats recently, and I am so in love with the Anselmo coat! It reminds me of a bomber style jacket, but all soft and pretty. There is an undershirt to wear with it, but it is detachable.

Oh, and can we talk about my cutiecute pose?? A couple of days ago on Plurk, Olaenka of oOo Studio asked for some pose ideas, and since I'm all full of ideas, I threw some pictures at her. Then she surprised me with a little mini pack of poses named after me! Squee! Thank you, Olaenka!

Have a wonderful rest of your weekend!

But Why Did She Ask?

Happy Halloween, dear ones! So did you ever wonder while watching The Wizard Of Oz why Glinda asked Dorothy if she was a good witch or a bad witch like, a minute after saying only bad witches are ugly? Glinda, the queen of shade.

If you haven't done it yet, you need to get your Terror-iffic hunting on! It ends tonight!

Style - But Why Did She Ask - Full

Style - But Why Did She Ask - Closeup

Tea.S is in the hunt and you can find the Wicked Mat! How cute, right?? I chose the one that says "Go Away" but there is a "Welcome" one, too.

Miseria is also in the Terror-iffic hunt and you can find the Demona stilettos. These are so cute! They have little horns on the tops and heel is like a devil's tail!

Remember that Terror-iffic is a pay hunt, so all the prizes are $5L each. But it is WELL worth it for what you get! Just get it done soon!

By the way, if you're in SL tonight and want to go trick or treating with your family [or just on your own because you like candy!], there is a grid-wide Trick or Treat event happening! Many families, including my own, have set candy out for you to take! Some places REALLY went all out with pumpkin patches and haunted houses and all kinds of stuff! Check it out if you're interested!

Be safe out there tonight, tricksters!

Checking In

There are SO many things going on right now, y'all! I might need to start posting twice a day just to show it all! [Okay, okay. Let's not get crazy.]

How cool is the Checkout At 11 set by Second Spaces for Collabor88?

Style - Checking In

Style - Checking In - Hutch

Style - Checking In - Guestbook

You THINK it's just a run down hotel set, but then you check the guestbook. Oh my! That's not a hotel I want to stay at!! There are 5 pieces to the set - the counter, the hutch, the guestbook, and 2 luggage trolleys, one with and one without luggage. Total land impact for the set if you use the trolley with the luggage is only 7. ONLY 7!

Trunk or Treat started today and that is where I got my Happy Halloween Garland from Windsong. The garland is free! You really want to check out this event, especially if you are a kid! There are a few gachas, lots of very inexpensive items, and freebies, too!

Happy shopping!

The summit of beauty and love

It's Collabor88's birthday this month! There aren't many monthly events that last longer than a year or so in SL, and even fewer that do it and stay so consistently good. It's a big event for their birthday month, so if you still can't get in [as I've heard even just this morning!], keep trying! You need to shop!

Style - The summit of beauty and love-1

Style - The summit of beauty and love-2

Fri.day is at C88 for the birthday fun with the new Persephone heels. I really like these because they're almost a bootie, but not quite, so they pair up well with both dresses and jeans.

I'm standing on the rooftop deck of the Santorini Villa by Barnesworth Anubis, also out at Collabor88 this month. This is definitely Greek inspired, and it's all clean and open on the inside. It's only 89 land impact, so it leaves you with lots of wiggle room for decorating.

Happy birthday, C88!

Traces of romance in our heads

Happy July, dear ones! I love the start of a new month, don't you? It's like a fresh start 12 times a year! Annnnnd...it's the start of a new round of FaMESHed!

Style - Traces of romance in our heads-1

Style - Traces of romance in our heads-2

You're going to see the Mutresse Netegli dress everywhere, but for good reason! It's one of those dresses that is so so easily dressed up and down, and with the color change options, you have SO many ways of customizing it to your needs!

Cae is also out at FaMESHed this month with the Hamsa jewelry set. The Hamsa hand is thought to protect against the envious, or the evil eye. So no one be jelly about my outfit today, because I'm protected! *laughs*

If you haven't been out to Rhapsody yet, you're missing out! Rhapsody is where I got my fabulous Jezebel heels from Fri.day, and my poses are from the Trance pack by An Lar!

Have a wonderful day!

Bought A Ticket To The West Coast

Guess what? The Arcade is starting this weekend! Squee! Every round, I tell myself "Okay. You CANNOT want everything." But then every round, I tell myself to shut up because there's always cute stuff.

Style - Bought A Ticket To The West Coast-1

What Next has us On The Move at The Arcade with some great wearable, rideable toys! I'm riding the Candy Skateboard. There are cool things like scooters, pogo sticks, and cars, too! Each play is $50L and there are 9 commons and 5 rares.

Do you like my hair? It's from Truth for The Arcade!

Style - Bought A Ticket To The West Coast-2

Sakura is an awesome hair that you can get in two different styles, the two curly poofs like I'm wearing, or one that just has the curly on one side. All of them come with detachable flowers and either Bears, Kokeshi Dolls or Sushi. I'm wearing sushi in my hair because I think it's super cute! It is $50L per play with 16 to collect, 4 rare.

I hope you guys have your inventory and your wallets ready for this coming Arcade, because really, it's gonna be great!

Clap along if you know what happiness is to you!

Are you happy today? You should be! There are so so so many reasons to be happy in our lives, even if it's just teeny tiny things that maybe we wouldn't think about. Like today, I'm happy because I adore light creamy colors and I was able to put together an outfit using them. Most people would say that they're boring colors, but I love them!

Style - Clap along if you know what happiness is to you!

Ingenue will be at The Chapter Four with the Emma blouse. It's a cropped top [as is the style these days!] that shows off some skin, but is still pretty modest! It's got a great little polka dotted bib collar, and there are buttons down the back. I wanted to keep my look simple, so I paired it with one of the new Howell skirts from Coldlogic's last release, and the Lily flats, also from Ingenue. [They are add-ons for the Slink flat feet.]

I hope all of you are finding reasons to be happy today!!

Just The Way You Are

I like simple looks. If you're a long time reader of my blog, you know this. I'm not couture. I'm not edgy. I'm not sexy. I'm simple, and I think a lot can be said for simplicity in our lives. So if you're out there feeling less than fabulous because you're not covered in accessories, or you're not wearing the most expensive products, or you're not wearing items that haven't even been released yet, or you're just feeling like you're not good enough, remember this - You're amazing, just the way you are. ♥

Space Study

Okay, I'll admit it. I've never been a huge fan of any kind of "space" theme in SL. But some of the designers for Collabor88 this round have done such a great job, they just might be changing my mind!

Style - Space Study

Second Spaces and MudHoney are two of my utmost favorite home decor and furniture stores in SL, so I was super happy to see them in this round. Second Spaces has items named Supernova and MudHoney has the Jerry office set. I used bits and pieces from both sets to create this "space study" in the very cool Centauri Pod skybox from Barnesworth Anubis, also at Collabor88.

Head on over to Collabor88 to shop! I'm sure you'll find a lot of things that are out of this world!

[Ugh. I'm sorry. I had to make that joke! LOL!]

Cozy On Up

The weather here has been icy and cold for so many days! I hate it, but I DO like getting cozy when it's so very very cold!

Style - Cozy On Up

Fri.day has some cozy things for you this month, like the Cozy Flats from The Arcade! These are simply sweet little flats with a bow. Reminds me of something a Disney girl would wear! There are 14 colors to collect, 2 being rare. You will need the SLink flat bare feet since these are add-on shoes.

Collabor88 started yesterday and Fri.day is also there with the Cozy Chair. I am in love with this chair right now because it also has a blanket that covers you up in some poses! I'm not using it here, obviously, so I can show off my shoes but as soon as I was done taking my picture, I covered right back up.

I hope you all are staying warm and safe out there!

After All This Time?

So I'll admit it. I'm probably the least "geeky" or "nerdy" out of my group of friends. I don't know anything about Doctor Who aside from what I've learned by osmosis. I don't care about Star Wars or Star Trek. I don't even care about having the latest and greatest gadgets and until recently, I've been using a super super out of date iPhone that wouldn't even let me Instagram!

But, I do adore my geeky friends because they teach me things daily, and I absolutely love the things that are out at the Geeks n Nerds Fair!

Style - After All This Time?

FATEplay has some fantastic Doctor Who themed outfits for the fair, and even though I had to Google it to see who Billie was, I do know that I love her outfit! Jeans, a great tee, and an awesome jacket? What's not to love? I'm wearing it in the Original color, but you can also have it in Dark and Autumn, and of course all the pieces mix & match. You will definitely mix the jacket and jeans in with your wardrobe, I can tell you that!

!bang is also out at the Geeks n Nerds Fair with a Geek Speak gacha! These are wearable frames that say various geeky things. Of course, being the book lover that I am, and will always be, this one spoke right to my heart! ♥

The Geeks n Nerds Fair is going on now until December 8th. See ya there, nerds! :)

Maybe Tomorrow

Around this time of the year, my blogs seem to get a lot more sporadic. I keep telling myself "Maybe tomorrow." But well, eventually tomorrow is today and that's okay because I have some cute things that I have fallen in love with over the past few days!

Style - Maybe Tomorrow

Coldlogic released some new coats and OH... they are perfect!! I'm wearing the Golding coat with the optional shirt and skirt. How adorable is this coat?? I love the little zipper detail on the sleeves and it's just so ladylike and classy! But if you didn't wear the skirt and shirt part, you could easily pair it up with other things to make it a lot more edgy and rockstar.

But since I was going for a more ladylike look, check out the new Maryse heels from Ingenue! These are add-on for SLink feet and I am in shoe love with them. Classy, classy, classy.

Until tomorrow!

Maybe. :)

Just Take Your Time

I do a lot of inventory cleaning on an almost daily basis. Not a lot, obviously, since my inventory is still pretty massive. But I throw away things pretty much daily as I come across them. A lot of the time, this does mean I'm throwing out something that was made before August 2011 when mesh came out. However, sometimes I find just the right old [vintage?] item deep in my inventory and I feel like it pulls my look totally together.

Style - Just Take Your Time

I really like the new Band Jackets from Cracked Mirror for FaMESHed this month. Being a former band nerd myself, of course the first thing I think of when I think of band jackets is the letter jacket that I wore almost daily, but these are more like uniform jackets. Quite structured, very classic. These come with a short "shirt" inside, and I kind of wish they had a no shirt option to pair up with a longer belly covering shirt, but I do like this a lot.

The vintage item I found that I felt really went with my whole look was the Ginger boots from Shiny Things. They are from 2010 [very old in SL years!] and just sculpts, but I don't think they look dated at ALL. *sighs* I miss Shiny Things. The store is still up if you want to shop there, though.

By the way, have you been to The Garden yet? If you haven't, you need to go. I'm standing in the Bozeman Barn by Barnesworth Anubis and is it ever awesome! Big rooms and sliding doors and this fantastic two sided fireplace. It would be great for a winter sim!

Time to hop back into my inventory...or go do some more shopping!

In The Sanctuary She Has Found

I don't really consider myself a morning person. I'm usually quite grouchy and disoriented in the mornings, and heaven help the person who talks to me before I have breakfast and my morning tea or coffee. But some mornings, like this one, I wake up and I thoroughly enjoy the peace. I can sit quietly, hair barely combed, glasses on, and just enjoy that I'm here for another day.

Style - In the sanctuary she has found

FaMESHed is still going strong and I'm loving the cozy Cowl Neck sweaters and Floral Leggings from Coquet! One thing I love about the sweater is that it goes down onto my hands some, which is how I prefer to wear my sweaters. However, I wish the inside of the sleeve wasn't invisible as quickly as it is. In certain poses, it's very obvious that the sleeve is only lined a couple of inches and then goes invisible. But other than that, I truly like this sweater, and the leggings are just adorable!

Also at FaMESHed, Trompe Loeil has this awesome living room set called Ashdon. I'm just using the couch for this picture, but the set has all kinds of goodies. This couch is texture change as well, so you can change the blanket and the couch colors to suit your needs.

Enjoy your Monday, everyone!

It Did Start Out That Way

Okay, okay. I know the theme is Flowers In MY Attic but all I can think about is Flowers In THE Attic. That was my first "grown up" series of books that I ever read and the series that I do still read through usually every year or so. So as lovely as the items are for this round, all I think about is ballet and picnic baskets and starving and arsenic. Sorry!

But um, let's get to some shopping. :)

Style - It Did Start Out That Way

Stellar has some really awesome tights for My Attic. The In Bloom tights are floral but not SO floral that it's too much. They also come with the SLink applier for the feet, which is definitely a must-have in my book these days. Lexi has also made matching In Bloom nails and I am just in love with the plum color! It's so perfect for the autumn season!

Also at My Attic, Pretense has the A Flower For You In My Attic poses. There is a 2 person pose so you can give a friend a flower, and then some single poses for you to pose with your flower. They're very cute!

I hope everyone has a fabulous Monday!

She's Got A Little Bit Of Something

Hey, it's the week of the little plaid skirt! :) I don't usually take a ton of pics from the back, but I thought this tiny cute skirt deserved a back shot. Check it out!

Style - She's got a little bit of something

I popped over to La Penderie de Nicole last night on the hunt for an anniversary party dress. I found one, but I also stumbled onto these super cute My Schoolgirl Mini skirts! Now you know me, I'm not one to pass up a fantastic mini, and these were no exception. The texturing is top notch, and if you could see the front, the waistband is a great belt! I can totally see myself pairing up this beauty with sweaters and tights and boots all through the fall and winter!

Much to do before tonight, so have a great day!

Good Shoes Take You Good Places

As you all know, I'm all about simplicity in my wardrobe. Don't get me wrong, I love to see the glam, high fashion stuff, but for the most part, I keep my look simple because that's how I feel most comfortable. Ingenue is one of my favorite places for classic pieces and the new Pickford heels from Ingenue for this month's Collabor88 absolutely did not disappoint me!

Style - Good shoes take you good places

This lovely shoe, which is an add-on for the SLink medium bare feet, is simple, classy, and feminine all in one delightful little package. The best part about items like this is that you can wear them with a fancy dress, or keep it summery with a pair of capris like I have done here. If you STILL haven't gotten the SLink feet, you really need to so you can go pick up these shoes today!

A Girl Can Do What She Wants To Do

Did you know that a long time ago, I used to be a model? Yep! And one of my very very first modeling jobs was for SySy's. I was a live model for her in her store, and even got to model for her on a Second Life tv show! Of course, that was many years ago and no one is paying me to stand around looking pretty any more, but I still love when SySy comes out with something new!

Style - A Girl Can Do What She Wants To Do

The new Geste halters and skirts are awesome! They come in both florals and solids, but I wore one of each for this photo.

I think it's time to just go stand around looking pretty!
