Tonight They All Shine For You

I hope your wallets are ready, kids. Here comes the biggest shopping month in SL!




Uber opened up today and I just love the Vivi hair that Truth has out for it! It's a big mass of long curls and waves and it just seems so princessy to me!

Speaking of princesses, Fit For A Princess opens up tomorrow and Hopscotch made some super cute tiaras! The Starry Night tiara looks like shooting stars on top of your head! I definitely think I'll be saving this one for my annual New Year's Eve Eve party!

I Just Can't Seem To Shake You, Emily.

One rule I've always had is "DEMO. DEMO. DEMO!!!!" But on occasion, I forget. It never really ends well. Case in point... this absolutely beautiful dress from B.C.C.!




The Emily Romantic Corset Dress by B.C.C. for The Seasons Story is lovely and so completely my style. I was so excited to wear it while we've been on vacation that in my haste, I didn't demo. Unfortunately, the dress is "standard sized" pretty much in name only. The Small does fit me, but then I noticed something really really wrong with the arms.




At first I thought it was my Slink hands because sometimes longer sleeves don't fit quite right over them. But as you can see, my hands stop well before the sleeve starts. I tried moving up to a size Medium, but for some reason, that made the dress completely jam into my shoulders, although the opposite should have been true. I even went up to a size Large, which was not really that much larger than the Small and came with its own set of issues. Then I tried changing my shape, but that didn't really work that well. I sent a notecard to the creator a couple of days ago to ask if maybe I could get a new alpha that goes down a little further on the sleeves, but I don't know how much that's going to fix the problem and I haven't heard anything back anyway.

That all being said, this dress is really really pretty. If you want to buy it, definitely demo it first!

It's That Kind Of Day

Have you ever just had one of those days? I mean, here I was, going for a nice little boatride, when suddenly my boat started filling with water and my oars floated away! *sighs* At least I look adorable, thanks to the upcoming round of Fit For A Princess!






How cute is this Modern Princess Sundress from Nomi? I just want to run around in it singing about wanting adventure in the great wide somewhere. The skirt has 4 different colors, and the top has 2 colors, and they can be changed with a HUD. The dress goes great with the Brocade Slippers from Lassitude & Ennui that will be out at the event, too! The slippers have pretty little pearls on the tops and these are for the Slink natural bare feet.

I first became aware of Tiny Trinkets because my daughter had a bracelet made for me around Christmas time, so I was excited to see that they'd be out at Fit For A Princess! I love the Medieval Beauty necklaces! They come in different colors, and are very easily resized to fit everyone from Toddleedoos to adults. If you're an adult, though, you're going to need to edit from your inventory when you first put it on because it is going to be all in your body since it really is sized more for kids.

Fit For A Princess starts on August 1st!

You may know Rebel Hope as more of a fancy gown store, but when she does casual, it's just as gorgeous! The new Janet dresses are just adorable! If you're looking for a simple, easy look for the summer, this dress is definitely for you.

If you're looking for some great heels, be sure to check out Ingenue's Lola heels for Collarbor88 this month. They are slingback peep-toes with a high high heel and come in several pretty colors. They are for the Slink High feet.

In The Special Garden

So have you guys been having as much fun with stuff from The Arcade as I have?? My list is almost complete! Pretty good for it only being 5 days in to a month long event, don't you think? But let's not forget that our regular events are going on too, like FaMESHed and Fit For A Princess!




Zenith stole my heart at FaMESHed this month with the Hippie Dress and the Hippie Leather hair accessory! The dress is just totally my style and I wish that more people in SL made more cute, boho type clothes. And who can resist hair things? Not me!

My pose today comes from the Cambridge pack by Lalochezia out at Fit For A Princess this month. I was happy that there were some nice, subtle, cute single poses because lately at events, I find that there are more couple poses and while that's lovely, it's harder for me to blog since my other half is often not online when I am doing my blog pics. More single poses, please! :)

And okay, can we talk about the Fairies from !Ohmai and the Gnomes from Mutresse for a minute? When I saw the ads for these for The Arcade, I KNEW I would need them just for this little garden we have in the backyard. You can wear the companion fairies, but if you rez them out, you can just have them all over!! They're small, but mod to be bigger quite well. And the little gnomes resize, too! Squee!

Some Beach, Somewhere

Our beach vacation is over and we're heading home today. I'm so going to miss this place! But at least I got in one more morning walk along the beach.




Mutresse is at FaMESHed this month and I'm loving the Nadya tank top and Guzia shorts! The top comes in 2 options so that if you wear the shorts, the belt of the shorts won't clip the top, which is awesome. And like other Mutresse products, both items come with handy color change HUDs so you can customize your look.

Maxi Gossamer is also at FaMESHed and how beach perfect are the Bali Gypsy bare foot sandals and necklace, I ask you? I haven't put on shoes in at least 2 days because I just want my feet to be all jeweled up and pretty. You DO need the SLink flat bare feet for these, so if you're still in janky system feet, then your feet can't be as jeweled up and pretty as mine today.

Hello from the Bahamas! Like I mentioned in my last post, my family and I are having an island adventure this week. This place is gorgeous! You know what's also gorgeous? Stuff from FaMESHed and Fit For A Princess! Both events open tomorrow!




I squealed in delight when I saw Cae's new Duchess set for FFAP. The necklace is so so similar to a pendant my parents gave me on my 16th birthday. There is a matching ring, earrings, and a tiara in the set as well! You can change the color of the gems and metal with a nice little HUD, too.

I've never tried Milk hair before, despite the creator being a plurk buddy of mine for a while, but wow! What an introduction to the brand! The Girl About Town hair for FaMESHed is fantastic! I love big messy braids and this is just perfect! It also comes with a headband that you can put on or take off. Love!

Cracked Mirror is also at FaMESHed with an awesome Chevron dress. Being that it's warming up [and also because I'm on the beach!], I am definitely in need of lots of cute dresses. This one is perfect for night time on the beach!

Fit For A Princess!

Have you heard about a new event coming up? Fit For A Princess starts on April 1st and that's no foolin'! Let's check out a couple of things that you will be able to get!

From Alouette, The Princess's Tower is sure to make all your Rapunzel dreams come true.




For this photo, I sunk the little "hill" that it is on into the ground, but you can still see a bit of it. Inside, there's a long winding staircase that leads up to the tower room. It's just so cute! We have a hill with a look out on our island, I'm thinking of replacing the building we have there with this so we can be even higher up!

If you need something to put in your tower, might I suggest the Sweet Pea bed from Positure Poses?




Aww, poor princess. It's hard to sleep with a pea under one of the mattresses! This is a pose prop with two poses, but both poses are similar, just changed for if you're wearing a poofy dress or not. I think it's pretty awesome and would make a lovely addition to any princess's bedroom.
