It's All London, Baby!

I'm still on my Friends marathon and just finished up the one where they all went to London for the wedding. London, baby! And this came at a good time because there is a wonderful fundraiser starting for one of the sweetest girls I know.

Amy, known as Scarlet Chandrayaan (owner of Alouette) in Second Life, is one tough young lady. At the young age of 26, Amy was planning the big move interstate with her boyfriend ready to start a fresh new life together when she received the news no one ever wants to hear. Cancer that she had fought off once before has returned and this time it’s worse. The doctors have given her 2 years at the most if she just continues on with life as it is at the moment and makes the most of the time she has left. There are a few options open to her, but none a sure fire cure all. No one wants to be dealt this blow, whether young or having lived a long life, but Amy is soldiering on with a smile on her face ready to battle this with whatever options she can. We’re all hoping she can fight this once more and live a long life.


Leaf On The Wind is the fundraiser to help sweet Amy with her wish to see London. I think it's a worthy cause and I hope she gets there and is just as touristy as Joey was when he went. :) Leaf On The Wind is from January 10 to February 1, and there is lots to see and get, so go shop!!!!

Give A Girl The Right Shoes And She Can Conquer The World

Do you ever go to take a picture and you find the right pose and the right angle and then you realize "Oh my god, this looks like I have no clothes on!" Yeah, that's me today. I'm not naked! Just focus on my fab new shoes!





The Gathering is a cool gacha event happening this month, and Fri.day is participating! I love the Xela heels for the event. They have a super high, thick heel, wrap all the way up to your ankles, and the back has a big bow. There are options for the Slink and Belleza feet. The shoes come in 5 colors and are only $50L a play. That is a heck of a deal!

Please remember that there is a script limit of 50MB enforced at The Gathering, so take off your radars and scripted jewelry and all of that. I know you guys know how to be cool at events to keep them as lag free as possible, but sometimes we do forget something here and there. I usually forget to take my wedding ring off and it's sooo scripty!

Today I Choose Joy

The best part about weekends is that all you need is a comfy shirt and a great pair of jeans to take you from place to place! [And a good cup of coffee, of course!]




I am incredibly picky about jeans in SL. It's not uncommon to see me in the same dang jeans for ages. Luckily, I have awesome friends who introduce me to new places and people, and that's how I ended up trying out the Runway jeans from CARGO. I love these jeans! They fit just right and have the cutest booty! C'mon, ladies. You know that's what we look for in a pair of jeans! These come with a HUD that give you some variations in color, and you can change the cuff a couple of ways. The only thing that would make these more perfect for me is if the cuff had a long bootcut.

For a birthday gift, my awesome husband bought me the Slink Physique body! The alpha HUD recently got an upgrade, so if you already have the body, be sure to go get the update. I have mostly just used the hands and feet for a while now and didn't think I really needed the body. But I like to stay current when I can, so now I get to be like my girls and wear a mesh body. The one thing I like is that it's still ME, but just more smoothed out. I don't have any desire to be bigger, or have a bigger chest or butt, which is why I've stayed away from much more than the hands and feet so far. As you can see, my regular clothes fit pretty well over the body, and I was able to alpha out what I needed. The alpha parts are MUCH improved with the update, but there are still some parts I'd like to see added, like side boob and shoulder blades.

Every Time She Put On Her Heels, She Became A Superhero.

I have always loved dark, simple outfits with bright, fancy shoes. When my favorite nail polish maker popped these beauties out, I knew how I wanted to wear them.







I've been wearing almost nothing but Hello Dave polish for a while now because of the pretty, bright, shiny colors. The new Wonder Shoo slingback stilettos are like the polishes - bright, pretty, and fun! These are for the Slink High feet and you all definitely need them!

Unless you live under a rock, you know that tonight is the season premiere of Game of Thrones! I'm so so excited because it's honestly one of my top 5 favorite shows. So being that it's one of my faves, I screamed in delight when I saw what FATEplay has out at We♥RP! [And I have to do the ♥ because doing the less-than-3 sign makes my blog freak out.]




If you're a fan of the show, the Dany dress and cloak is familiar to you. If you're not, it's okay! It's still a marvelous outfit! The back of the dress has a large oval cut out, and there are 2 options for the dress - with or without the cloak. There are also several colors to choose from.

The Beach Is For Lovers

It's the end of February and I don't know about you guys, but I consider the first of March to be the start of spring, no matter WHAT the weather is doing outside! So I ran out to our little beach because I love the water and the sunshine so much, I couldn't wait another day!




Truth released some new hair a few days ago, and two of the hairs come with headbands - one for Lovers and one for Haters. The headbands are detachable, so I'm wearing the Haters hair with the Lovers headband. Such a rebel, right? But both hairs are gorgeous! They're somewhat similar, but the Lovers hair is a little sweeter and has bangs. [My sister is wearing it in her blog post, so you can see it there.] I liked the Haters hair a little more because I don't always look great in bangs. I have a weird head!

Dinner Is Ready!

So when I was growing up, my mom was never the best cook. Oh, she had a few things she made well, but for the most part... We even had a saying in the house. "If the smoke alarm goes off, dinner is ready."

Guess I kind of inherited that from her. But at least I look cute while running from the fire!




I am totally in love with the Sally dresses by Rebel Hope from FaMESHed! I love cherry print anything, so naturally this dress caught my attention right off the bat. But it's just quite interesting to me because it's a sundress, but it's a little dramatic with the folded, belted layer.

I'm The Mother Effin Snow Queen

So as you guys might have guessed, I am ALL about beautiful white gowns in the winter. When I was chatting with Evie from Evie's Closet about her new gown, the words "snow queen" and "Motherf---er" might have been said. I'm not saying which one of us said it, but ... you know.

But hello? Do I not look like a beautiful snow queen??




The Iseult gown is just beautiful. There are probably three designers on the grid that I feel do a really proper white for their gowns, and Evie is definitely one of them. Every detail is wonderful on this gown, from the textures to the bodice to the lace up arms. If you're looking for a winter wedding gown or just a winter formal, this is it!

Pure As The Bridal Snow

I hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday season! Mine has been busy busy, hence the lack of blog posts lately. ["Yeah! Hence!"] But there are lots of awesome things hitting the grid, as I'm sure you guys are aware!




Rebel Hope has an awesome dress for you winter brides out there! The Crystal gown comes in both white [as shown here] and cream, and has a pretty veil included.

Truth finally hit us with some fantastic new hair last week, and I have been wearing the heck out of the new Dove hair! I am all about the side pony in my RL these days because my hair is so long, so it's great to have a gorgeous side pony in world, too!

Snowflakes or Starflakes?

Where I'm from, we don't get a lot of snow. So when we DO get snow, it's magical to me! Especially if it happens at night, when you're just not sure if it's snow or stars coming down.




Rebel Hope has a gorgeous new gown at FaMESHed! Brandi is a mermaid style strapless gown that will be a huge hit at any fancy holiday party this season. And let me tell you, this dress gives you all KINDS of curves! My hips have never looked so full!

Iced Up

Oh my goodness, what a start to the month! Both The Arcade and FaMESHed opened with a huge bang today, and if you're anything like me, you are in shopping heaven!!





What Next is at The Arcade with these awesome Igloos! I'm standing in front of the Penguin igloo and isn't it cute? There are some poses in it to sit on top of the igloo or lay down inside. Cute! But the poses didn't show off my new First Snow hair and dress from Exile, also at The Arcade. The hair, hood, and dress are all one piece, and there is a HUD to change the color of the dress and one to do different shades of the hair. Mine is the Ice Blondes HUD and there are 10 lovely light blonde shades in this HUD.

Mutresse is at FaMESHed with their new Sneja boots. Like everything else from Mutresse, these are really well done and of course very very customizable with the color HUD. I went all one color but you can change lots of things to make your boots match your outfits.

Also at FaMESHed are the Fingerless Gloves from Kauna. They can be changed to either leather or wool, and there are sizes for both men and women. The hands, however, were a B to tint properly!! I am very used to having appliers now for my hands, so I'm definitely out of practice for tinting, but I could not get them to tint to match my skin at all, so I just kinda did what I could and let my windlight do the rest.

Maybe Tomorrow

Around this time of the year, my blogs seem to get a lot more sporadic. I keep telling myself "Maybe tomorrow." But well, eventually tomorrow is today and that's okay because I have some cute things that I have fallen in love with over the past few days!




Coldlogic released some new coats and OH... they are perfect!! I'm wearing the Golding coat with the optional shirt and skirt. How adorable is this coat?? I love the little zipper detail on the sleeves and it's just so ladylike and classy! But if you didn't wear the skirt and shirt part, you could easily pair it up with other things to make it a lot more edgy and rockstar.

But since I was going for a more ladylike look, check out the new Maryse heels from Ingenue! These are add-on for SLink feet and I am in shoe love with them. Classy, classy, classy.

Because I Won't Stay Inside

Hey-yay-yay Yeah!

The title of my post today doesn't mean anything. I've been watching a marathon of Dawson's Creek lately and on the Netflix version, there is a different theme song than when it first premiered, and now it's stuck in my head.

Now let's look at my legs and feet!




Fri.day has made some awesome things lately! The new Lovegood.Heels are for the Wizarding Faire and they are precious. They are made for the SLink flat feet [the AvEnhance version] so you'll need to have those. They are the sweetest little mary jane style shoes with a thick kitten heel. They come in all the House colors [like Lion, Snake, etc], plus some basic dark colors.

The new Knee.Socks are the perfect pairing with the shoes, too! I've been looking all over for some great socks that have mesh tops and SLink appliers, and these are just what I wanted. The mesh tops come in different sizes, but they are modify if you need to fix them to fit your legs.

PSL 4 Ever!

My friends always laugh because I am ridiculously into pumpkin spice anything. Candles, air fresheners, cupcakes, etc. I dance around all of August waiting for pumpkin spice lattes, even though I'm not actually much of a coffee drinker any more. When I saw the new Cocoa-On-The-Go Cart from What Next, I thought, "Would I not be dancing in crazy glee if this thing was parked out in front of my house at all times??"




Isn't it adorable?? It is materials ready, so if you are using a viewer that shows materials [I am not], then it'll look just a touch different than in my photo. The cart is just a decorative prop, but if you click on it, it gives you a menu and you can choose from a a variety of drinks and a doughnut! The cups are super cute, too.




I had to get the small PSL because it fit my hand the best, but you know I usually order a large! The Cocoa-On-The-Go Cart is on sale now at the What Next mainstore and if you are a VIP member, it's 50% off until Tuesday evening.

Oh, can we talk about my hair for a second? Truth released 3 new styles yesterday and I am in fangirllove with the Anita hair. It's long, it's simple, it's exactly what I need.

Anything But Ordinary

There's a big new Coldlogic release today! Lots of goodies just perfect for this time of the year!




I just adore the new Hedley tops! It's a great knit cardigan with three-quarter sleeves and a fun fringe. You can wear it with or without the tank top. I think it goes perfectly with the Seyfried jeggings. The awesome part about the jeggings is that they come with 3 different cuffs, so they are a little easier to pair under boots.

Distraction

A couple of nights ago, my dear husband had a "man's night" with my brother and brother-in-law to discuss shopping drink beer, play pool, and talk about boobs or something. He said I'm not allowed to come up when they're shooting pool because I'm distracting and throw him off his game. I have no idea what he means.




OneBadPixel just released these simple and sexy Jersey Tank dresses yesterday, and they are awesome! They're slim fitting and hug you in all the right spot. The dresses come in a variety of colors and you really could dress them up or down, depending on your mood.

It's a long weekend for a lot of us, so go pick up a dress and hit the SL town this weekend!
