My little personal "stop being lazy and blog for 7 days" challenge ended on Sunday, but I really think it's what I needed to get back in the groove of things. Not saying that I'm going to continue blogging daily on this blog or anything, but it has definitely become fun for me again, so there's that! If you find yourself in a blogging slump, give yourself a little challenge. It just might kick you out of it!






Fission released some totally adorable new shoes recently! The Spectator pumps are cute and vintagey and come in a bunch of colors! Of course, I had to grab my favorite colors, teal and white, for this post. They are pretty inexpensive at just $150L a pair, but the pink and white ones are on sale for $75L until Sunday, so that's a great little bargain for you budget conscious folks out there. These are add-ons for the Slink medium height feet.

Somewhere Beyond The Sea

There are days where all you want to do is lay down near the ocean and read books.




The Liasion Collaborative opened up for a new round of their awesome events and I was thrilled with the items from Sway's and MudHoney for The Garden! Sway's has a great pergola set called Garrison. It comes with options to have a floor or not [I'm showing it without] and also has a few pieces of furniture and decorations. It's super cute! But I wanted to use it with the Tabatha lounge from MudHoney. This piece is gorgeous! There are plenty of animations in it, too, for sitting alone or with a friend or loved one. If you get the adult version, there's naughty poses, too!




Since the theme is Tuscany Hills for TLC, Lark is out at The Boutique with some Olive Crowns! I'm wearing it in Crown C because I thought the olives matched my outfit better, but there are different colors of olives, and one crown without the olives, just the leaves. So cute!

Bubblegum Alley is a new event for kids and families and it's very cute! I picked up some great home decor there from Pixel Fusion and new-to-me store Noble. I'm always thrilled to find new-to-me stores, and this event was full of them! This round of Bubblegum Alley runs until the 26th, so hop on over and check it out!

Fri.day released some fantastic boots for Shoetopia. The River.Boots are lace-ups with a great wedge. They come in several colors, and if you buy the Dotty color at the event, 100% of the money goes to Soles4Souls.

It Keeps Me Turning Home

Lots of things to do today, so let's get to it!

I wasn't really familiar with Cozy Homes, but I really like the Adora home from them!





It's a 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom home and quite cute! It also comes with stilts like in my photo, or with a traditional foundation. This home also has furniture sets for different rooms, like the Adora living room set that you see behind me!




In my package, the set was all soft linked, so I was in edit mode when I rezzed it and it was a snap to put it all down in the proper place. But it is modifiable, so I know I'll be grabbing pieces and moving things around soon!

Truth released some new hairs this past week, and I wore the new Anessa hair to my brother's birthday party last night. It's so very very cute, I didn't even change my hair today. I just adore the pretty little headband, and even more than that, I LOVE Truth's new HUD system!! It makes it so much easier on my inventory! Plus, my old blonde is back! It's not called Swedish, but well, I know Swedish when I see it. Thank you, Mr. Hawks!!

Song of the Woods

I went to The Seasons Story today and simply fell in love with the Kalli2 hair from D!va! I had told myself that my next blog post would not take place in our autumn woods, but well... rules are made to be broken at times, am I right?




D!va seriously does the best messy hair. All the cute little wispies and the messy side braid combined with the awesome leaves and fruit band makes this just the most awesome frolic-in-the-leaves hair style ever! You also have the option of turning off the fruit on the band, or hiding the band altogether so you can wear this hair any time of the year.

If you haven't hit up FaMESHed yet, you need to because Emery has these awesome Mykonos pleated long skirts available. I'm not always huge into maxi skirts, but I feel like this one works really well with this time of the year because while the skirt is sheer, there is good coverage up at the top.

I have more dancing in the leaves to do, and you need to go shop!

Wide Open Spaces

Oh, Mr. Hawks. I swear, when he releases a hair, the only thing I want to do is put it on and run around in it.




Genesis might be my favorite out of this week's releases. It's long, beautiful, and with a great little braid. Love love love!

Also, if you were waiting for Truth to release at FaMESHed, the hair is there now, and it's similar to Genesis but with a side braided loose ponytail. It's gorgeous, too!

Berry's Meme - Meet My Friend!

When Berry made her Meet My Friend meme, my first thought was to do it with my best friend. But then I thought, well that's highly expected, now isn't it? Over the past 3 years, I've shied away from making too many new friends and have stuck with the same few people. Back in January, a blogger named Kirsten Corleone added me to Plurk, but either she wasn't using it much, or I wasn't paying attention, because I didn't really notice her until last month. But let me tell you something - I'm glad I did because she has become one of my favorite people in SL, and I knew she was the one that I should do the meme with.




I'm deviating away from the meme slightly because while I did ask her questions, I've always found that you get to know a person better when you're just talking. And oh, did we talk last night! But most of what we talked about needs to stay off the record because it was just us getting to know each other more. I'm sure you all understand. ;)

What I discovered about Kirsten is that she's awesomely sweet. She's a lover of pink. She has more jewelry than you can shake a stick at and is now my new go-to person for when I need to find just the right accessory for an outfit. Although she's been in Second Life for many years, she still loves it and we both still make noob mistakes all of the time. She's deeply dedicated to her partner in a way that makes you think, "Awww!" and not "Ughhh."

The best thing that I discovered about Kirsten is that she's someone I feel really comfortable around, and as most people know, that's not something that happens a lot for me. I'm very glad Plurk allowed me to meet her, and I'm very happy that this meme allowed me to know her better.

Collabor88 started today! Woot woot! The theme this month is "Rain or Shine" and the designers have totally had fun with the theme as usual! I know there has been some debate lately, so I'll just say this: C88 was NEVER intended to be an event where people would sell everything for 88L. I have been blogging C88 from the beginning and never never never was it said that all the items would be 88L. If things seemed less expensive in the beginning, it was because it was in the pre-mesh days when a lot of things were less expensive! If you have a problem with the price of these items, you're certainly not required to shop there. But I hope you still will go to Collabor88 and support the designers, because these items are pretty darn awesome. :)

So many goodies this week!!! Seriously, I just can't get over it!




FaMESHed is turning ONE this month and the birthday celebration is spectacular! There is SO much good stuff, like the Little Paris kitchen from Tia, the Odette dress from Tee*fy, and the Fire To The Rain hair from Exile, just to name a few! If you don't usually go to FaMESHed, now would REALLY be a good time to get your butt over there to shop!

If you heard the sounds of female squealing earlier, Gos Boutique released the new Ursula wedges! This is just such a cool looking shoe. I'm usually more classic in the type of shoe I like, but I just went crazy for this shoe! It does use the OneTime Skin Matching HUD, so if you've tinted other Gos feet before, then you know just how easy it is to tint and go!

And go you should, because there's a lot of shopping to be done!

My Friends Are Mean!

Yesterday I saw this super cute purse called Cat's In The Bag and I had to run right out to Remarkable Oblivion to pick it up! It's different than most of the purses I carry, but that's what I love about it! There were some really cool rings out at the store too, so I know I'll be back.

While I was out there, a girl was in the store with this hair. I loved it! I had to snap a pic of her and ask my Plurk buddies where I could find it. This led to them being VERY MEAN to me!! But whatever, because they did tell me to go to Ploom where I found the Mile High Pony. I think it's adorable! I love big hair and always will. :)

Taking pictures is savoring life intensely, every hundredth of a second.

Fall really is the best time to head out and take photos, don't you think?




I've been trying to blog this DouceMon jacket from LeeZu for a while but SL being what it is, for some reason the main part of the jacket wouldn't rez in clearly. I ended up tossing it on the ground, which allowed the texture to rez, which then meant it cleared up on me. Oh SL, the tricks we have to learn sometimes! But it was worth it because this is just the perfect fall jacket! The sleeves are all pushed up, and there's a great patterned panel in the back that matches the lapels. Total love!

Someone mentioned the Vintage Camera by Tee*fy for The Arcade and I realized, hey, I actually got the RARE one! I just hadn't unpacked it! Did you spend a ton of money at The Arcade? I did. But - I'm STILLLLL looking for the white mesh sneakers from DECO. If anyone has a pair they're willing to sell, I'll pay twice the gacha sale amount. Or I'll trade stuff!
