Sweet Saturday

Taking photos when your computer isn't the best is kind of hard. But did you know that trying to take a decent photo when your internet connection is practically on dial up speeds is almost downright impossible?? Luckily, my internet issues are all fixed up, which is a good thing because this dress just NEEDS to be blogged!




The Liasion Collaborative opened up on the 15th and Valentina E. made a gorgeous dress for The Boutique! The Coco Ruffled Gown is long, super ruffled, and just oh so pretty! There is a HUD to change the colors of the belt and bow, too. The one issue I had with this dress is that in certain poses, the collar and the back of the dress would dig into my body. But a little diggin' ain't hurt nobody, amirite? :)

Somewhere Beyond The Sea

There are days where all you want to do is lay down near the ocean and read books.




The Liasion Collaborative opened up for a new round of their awesome events and I was thrilled with the items from Sway's and MudHoney for The Garden! Sway's has a great pergola set called Garrison. It comes with options to have a floor or not [I'm showing it without] and also has a few pieces of furniture and decorations. It's super cute! But I wanted to use it with the Tabatha lounge from MudHoney. This piece is gorgeous! There are plenty of animations in it, too, for sitting alone or with a friend or loved one. If you get the adult version, there's naughty poses, too!




Since the theme is Tuscany Hills for TLC, Lark is out at The Boutique with some Olive Crowns! I'm wearing it in Crown C because I thought the olives matched my outfit better, but there are different colors of olives, and one crown without the olives, just the leaves. So cute!

Just A Little Spill Of Glamour

So so many things going on, you guys! Why, I can scarcely keep my hands on everything!




The Liaison Collaborative is back and better than ever! For The Boutique, Junbug has brought us this super elegant Miss M dress. The front is very simple [as befits the Minimal Nouveau theme] and the neck is high, but the back is where it shines. It almost reminds me of Cinderella's dress. Well, the first one that the birds and mice helped her make with all the bows. It comes in several colors but you know I adore a pure white dress.

Seraphim is bringing us a new event - Serafilms! The theme this round is Moulin Rouge and Elephante Poses has an awesome pose set called Sparkling Diamonds! There are 6 poses in the set and diamond props for each. I used one of the props for the pose, and then 2 of the props are scattered on the ground.

If You Can Be Anything, Why Not Be Happy?

Oh goodness, lots of things have been happening while I've been trying to fight off the flu! Let's get to it!

Poser Pavilion opens up tomorrow, and I just love the new poses from Picture This! Feathered Friend has poses and cute little birds to hold, and Fashion Stances are really nice poses that work well with SLink hands. I'm finding that some of my old poses don't QUITE work with my hands now, so it's nice to find some that do.






FaMESHed is still going on and how precious is this Overall Babydoll dress from NYU? I wore the option without the bow because it was a little too twee for me, but the bow is very cute, too. I think it works well with the Descend necklace from Cae for The Boutique. You can't see them that well without getting closer, but the necklace has lots of tiny little gems that you can change the color of with the included HUD. And of course no look is finished without shoes, and the Emma.Flats from fri.day for The Seasons Story are just adorable with the attached leg warmer! These are made for the SLink natural feet, so don't put them on your janky system feet.

I'm pretty modest in how I dress most of the time these days, but let someone make a wonderful miniskirt, and I'm allllll over it!




If you've been in SL for a while, you know Lexi Morgan of Stellar is pretty well known for her little miniskirts. Her new little Hayden skirts are classic Stellar style. Short, sweet, sexy and oh-so-versatile, you need them in your SLife!

Also new at Stellar, Garter belts, stockings, and panties! The stockings also have the SLink applier HUD, so you can wear them with your SLink feet if you have the avatar enhancement feet.

It's A Cruel Summer

Once in a while [well, okay, most days], I dress myself very simply and I dress myself for whatever the weather in my RL is. Silly, right? :) But oh goodness, has it been HOT here. The kind of heat that slaps you in the face and calls you bad names when you walk out the front door. So this is how I dressed myself. Luckily for me, my husband thinks I'm adorable and he commented last night on how cute I looked. Sometimes he's the deciding factor on if I actually blog, especially if I didn't put together the outfit specifically for blogging. So REALLY, this is more of a "Hey! Look what I found in my closet!" post.




Rebel Hope made these awesome Molly Tie Tanks for FaMESHed this month and I just love them! I've been on a big hunt lately for short belly baring tanks, and these fit the bill to a tee.

It's Bright, Baby!

Tomorrow is awesome! One, I'm going away for a girls' night AWAY with my bestie! It's the first time we've had to drive away from home in a long time! Two, August starts and it's my birthday month! And three, FaMESHed opens for its August round!!




I'm so very in love with the new outfit from Mutresse for FaMESHed! The Lili sheer blouse and skirt is just so... ahhh! You can wear the skirt and blouse separately, and there are even sleeves that can be attached. And the BEST part of all is that there is a HUD with all kinds of colors and patterns for the individual pieces! Love love LOVE!

Wasabi Pills will be at FaMESHed this month with the new Sarah hair. I love braids and I love long hair, so you know I am ALL over this hairstyle!

Also at FaMESHed is this fabulous Falling Palm Suite from Eleventh Hour. Okay, can we just pause for a minute and pay our respects to how fabulous mesh items are? Yes, they look good, as is very obvious by this awesome set, but the land impact, y'all! The land impact! For the entire set - bed, tables, bench, fans, and the coconuts and straws you can't really see behind me ... 21 land impact. Can you believe it?? You can have your bedroom decked out with this great set for 21 land impact and still have room left over for more stuff!

Well, I'm off to pack. You guys should take a nap so you can get to FaMESHed when it opens at midnight!

Those Lazy-Hazy-Crazy Days Of Summer

So Mr. Zanzibar and I are fully enjoying our vacation time right now at our new vacation home. The best part about it is that I can wake up and immediately run down to the beach! So it's a good thing that the Boats & Bikinis Expo is starting because I'm going to need lots of swimwear!




The Thulu Cookini bikini from :{MV}: looks simple, but it's really a fun piece because of all the tentacles on it! If I wear to turn around, you could see that the tentacles go down over my butt, too! I hope I don't scare any sea life away! It's a mesh bikini, but I didn't even need an alpha layer to wear it, although it is included.

Nothing But Fate

I have always loved fantasy clothes in Second Life. I don't have the opportunity to wear them a whole lot, but I always love to look! I think that'll all be changing, though, because Damien Fate's new store, FATEplay, is opening on Wednesday!







I'm wearing the new Wende dress from FATEplay and I think it's awesome! As soon as I put it on, I wanted to go skipping through the forest, singing with birds, and staying out of the way of evil witches. Since the shirt, bodice, and skirt are all separate, if you fatpack, you can mix and match colors!

The outfits for FATEplay make use of the new materials, so if you want to see all the details of the outfits, you'll need to be in a materials-enabled viewer and have advanced lighting on. I use Firestorm so I wasn't able to see all the details, but as you can plainly see, the outfit does not lose too much without seeing the materials and still looks pretty darn awesome.

FATEplay also has male fantasy wear, so grab your man and have some fun! FATEplay opens on Wednesday, July 24th.

Vacationer

So my dear husband decided that it was time we got ourselves a nice beachy vacation home. After all, there's less than two months of summertime left, and it's definitely time to soak in the sun while lying on the beach! Only two of my suitcases have arrived. I'm waiting for Aldwyn to hurry up and bring me the other fourteen. What? A girl needs her things.




Speaking of things that you need, have you been to the Food Fair yet? If not, you need to go! You especially need to go so you can pick up the Fortune Cookie bag from Adore & Abhor. It's just the cutest! Plus the strap can change to one of ten different fortunes! My strap today says "To go on a journey, you must first take a step." Isn't that the truth??

I think I see the rest of my suitcases arriving, so I'm going to unpack and you need to go shop!

The Boutique has opened for July, and it's a safari themed event this month! I'm not exactly a jungle girl, but I found lots of great things that work even out of the rainforest. :)




Glam Affair has a new skin for us called Katya. Oh, it's pretty, y'all! Of course, I could say that about any Glam Affair skin. :)

Don't you just love my necklace? It's the new Safari by Cae and it's just lovely! There are options to customize it, too. The set comes with the necklace, bracelets, earrings and rings. The ring and bracelet are really cool because they look like tusks!

One of the things I like about these events is that I almost always find a new-to-me store, and that store this round is Tabloid. It's where my Nantes dress is from! I just love it because it's the kind of girly sundress I'm constantly looking for. I am SO checking this store out later!

I'm Coming Home

HOME EXPO IS COMING!!!! Sorry for the caps, but this is definitely one of my favorite favorite favorite events of the year!




This is the sixth year for the Home and Garden Expo in Second Life. The event has over 100 of Second Life's best home and garden creators, so there's sure to be SOMETHING you need for your home there! This year the event spans 8 sims for just the home and garden products, 2 sims for the Breedables Fair, and 1 sim for entertainment. There will be a great hunt, silent auctions, and raffles, too! It's going to be so much fun!

The Home and Garden Expo runs from May 24th to June 2nd and benefits Relay For Life. See you there!

After many years on the grid, and many years of being my "Almost Always" posemaker, Adorkable Peapod is closing her store. SADFACE. She has been one of my favorite favorite posers for ages and although I know this is the best thing for her, I can't help but think "What about ME!" There is a closing sale at aDORKable Poses until June 9th, so be sure to go pick up some goodies. Thanks for all the years of being the best!

Truth Hawks released some great new hair this week along with his brand new textures! The textures are truly lovely, and although I might have given him some sh!t for taking away the 2 colors I wear most, I do really like the new colors. But shhh, don't tell him I said that. I fell in love with the Lotus hair because I've been doing a side braid a lot in RL lately.

The Boutique opened up for a new round and I'm loving the new Cupcake jewelry from Cae and this awesome Lotus Crown from Noodles! The cool part is that my Cupcake ring fits just fine in between my new Diversity ring set from Stellar! There are several separate rings in the set so you can move them around however you'd like. What in the world did we do before we were just able to ADD lots of stuff?? I'm not usually someone who wears a lot of jewelry, but these lovely lovely ladies may be getting me to change my mind.

FaMESHed for April is OPEN! And that's no foolin'!




Rebel Hope has brought us these awesome Malibu maxi dresses in a whole bunch of colors. What I love about a maxi dress is that you can really take them from day to night. They're perfect for running around on the beach, but at night they look just as awesome! These go ALL the way to the ground, so if you're a shorter girl like I am, you'll need some heels.

And how awesome is the new Tymber hair from Truth for FaMESHed?? I'm always always on the search for the perfect ponytail and he seriously nailed it! It's cute in the front with the long side swept bangs, and the back is all kinds of adorable with loose curls. Love!

Pose Fair Is Coming!

Pose Fair is coming!!!! I'm so excited!! Posemakers are some of the unsung heroes in Second Life, in my opinion. If you like to sit with your partner, or take fun pictures, or fashion blog - you NEED posers! And if you're a blogger and you never credit at least who made your pose, you kinda suck.

It's Time To Begin

The first day of Spring is rapidly approaching, and I am thrilled! I love the start of new seasons, but spring is a special favorite because it is such a rebirth of life. In my opinion, of course. :) And I'm also just so happy with all the lovely spring clothes that are hitting the grid!




Gos Boutique's new Lolita espadrilles are ridiculously cute and so very very perfect for spring! If you remember, Gos had espadrilles years ago, but these ones look even MORE amazing because they are mesh and have the foot & sheath so that it fits a LOT better than the old ones did. The espadrilles also use the Colour+ system, meaning that if you buy one pair in blue and later buy one pair in red, you can mix and match the colors of the ribbon, seam, toecap, and laces using the included HUD. I'm only wearing mine in Dusk Blue, but I had a ball mixing up all the colors to get a bright and cheerful look! These shoes are exclusive to The Boutique currently.

OneBadPixel released some new items recently, including these fab Cuffed Denim shorts, which I'm wearing in a floral print. I had a pair almost exactly like this in RL when I was younger! These shorts fit SO well, too! Sometimes mesh shorts tend to give me a really super huge bubble butt or cut off weirdly, but these are perfect!

Drift is one of those stores where every time they come out with something new, I just get super happy! I'm wearing the new Hangover tank, which is just a cute strappy tank that has removable ruffles at the bottom. I'm not wearing the ruffles today because I was just thrilled to death to find a short mesh tank, but the awesome part is that you can change the colors of both the ruffles and the tank separately. How much do you love options like that??

Well, I'm off to play with my new spring clothes!
