Autumn Time

I just love autumn as a season. Football games, marching band contests, lots of pretty falling leaves and pumpkins, and of course pulling out the jeans and sweaters! Of course, in my neck of the woods, we're usually still wearing shorts until Thanksgiving, but in SL, it's definitely time to start pulling out the cooler weather clothes!




Coldlogic just released a whole bunch of new items, and I fell in deep love with the Shereda top! A lovely cropped sweater over a pretty cowl necked shirt? Oh, yes PLEASE! I never want to take it off!

At FaMESHed this month, Auxiliary released their new Skinny jeans. I'll admit, I'm not a huge fan of skinny jeans, but these are just fabulous! They're low rise and make your booty just look amazing. And while you're picking these up at FaMESHed, be sure to grab the Noriko hair from Wasabi Pills. I'm not a short hair kind of girl normally, but this hair is so adorable, I can't seem to take it off!

A Little Cleaning Up

So my dear husband is out of town this weekend, and I figured it would be a great time to clean up a bit around the house. Luckily with the Fancy Feathers collaborative set from Exposeur and Cheeky Pea for Zodiac, I can get all the dusting done!




Miel put out just the cutest little minidresses for today's Fifty Linden Friday! The Playa dress is short and sexy, and has some great color change options via an easy to use HUD.

Spruce Up Your Space starts tomorrow, and MudHoney has this really sweet Harriet set for us. The chair even has an animation to pet a kitty! My kitty from this month's Collabor88 has a new place to sit!

Okay, back to cleaning. I can't let him come home to a dirty house!

When I Dip, You Dip, We Dip!

I used to dye my hair a lot when I was younger. I've had hair that was platinum blonde and jet black and cherry red and many other colors. I haven't done more than touching up my dark roots or getting highlights in the past few years, but I'm a HUGE fan of the dip dye hair! I'd do it myself if I didn't think someone would look at me funny. When I saw the Secretive hair by Magika, I loved the style. But more than that - I loved the dipped color!




The dipped colors come with Color Pack #3, so remember that if you're interested in just dipped colors. I really adore how Magika does the HUDs for the hair because it's like getting a small fatpack for a low price.

I'm A Unicorn

I really hadn't planned on blogging this outfit. It was just a fun thing I threw together before heading out to a party last night. But I showed a pic of the skirt on plurk, and Gogo said I reminded her of a unicorn. How could I not blog my unicorn outfit after that??




Auxiliary has these cute Alluring Mini Skirts out at Collabor88 and I have never been one to pass up a cute mini skirt! It is mesh, and you will probably need to wear underpants with it unless you are either A) good at modding alpha layers, or B) don't mind flashing cooter. Auxiliary isn't officially open yet, but from the sneak previews they've given us so far, I cannot WAIT until they do!

Also at Collabor88, Ploom has this lovely Tart hair. I used to have my hair like this ages ago where it's a little longer in the front. I'm wearing the dipped color and there is a HUD to change your colors! If it came in a rainbow dipped color, I'd be in heaven!

Baby, My Mind Is On Love

You know what I love? Collabor88!! And oh you guys...this month? AMAZING. I know, it's amazing every month. But this month is special because it's the one year anniversary!! Almost EVERY designer who has participated in the past year is BACK for August! I'm so happy! Exclamation points all over the place!! The theme for this month is Baroque, so think jewel colors, drama, and all kinds of richness. You know the C88 designers always bring the most amazing things every month, and this month is certainly no different!

Oh Miss Brady!

Sometimes I think I was born at the wrong time because I just get such a thrill out of more vintage/retro clothing!




When you get to go to Vintage Fair on Saturday, be sure to stop by Coldlogic and pick up the Brady dress. I mean, really? Why wouldn't you? It's adorable! And YES, quite Brady Bunch! I really wish I had a dress like this in RL!

I wasn't sure what shoes I'd pair with this and then I saw the 1970s Heel from new-to-me store ChaChaDee! They are just the perfect little Marcia Brady shoe, don't you think?

FaMESHed started today and Wasabi Pills put out the Sylvie hair. It's a simply sweet ponytail style and what I like best about it is that you can wear it with shorts or jeans, but it would also look just as good with a pretty cocktail dress. You all know me - I love versatility in things!

We're heading back in time, you guys! Vintage Fair 2012 is almost upon us! I'm sooo excited because this is truly one of my favorite events of the year!




Vintage Fair starts on August 4th, and guess what? There's a Flickr contest this year! You can read all about it on the CHIC Management website, but can I just say that the prizes are outstanding? Zodiac is coming! Brought to you by The Hottie Cooterati Experience, Zodiac is a monthly themed event [and that means discounts for you!] and starts with a roar with my favorite sign [because it's my sign!] - LEO!




Elymode made the Leoness mesh skirt for the event and it's really cute! Now I am usually a medium in standard sizing, but I found the medium too big in this skirt, so I'm wearing a small. If you're a little more on the curvy side, try this skirt on. I think you'll find that it's a more generous in the hips than some that are out there.

Glitterati has the Wild pack of poses for Zodiac, and I really like them. But I'm a bit of a pose whore [about 10,000 poses currently take up space in my inventory - possibly more] so I'm ALWAYS happy to add more to the bunch!

Zodiac opens tomorrow, July 23rd [the start of the Leo cycle!] and runs until August 17th. I'll have the SLurl later when I'm allowed to give it out!

Summer BBQ

This is the last round of Stumblebum! I know, I'm sad, too! But Stumblebum will be back with a whole new format and it's going to be great! But during this round, stop by DCNY and pick up the Keyhole tops! They are lovely mesh, and the flower is detachable.

Funky Junk is at The Mens Dept this month. The Grill Master BBQ set and the Om Nom Picnic Table are both really awesome! If you sit at the table, there are plates of food you can rez and eat! I love interactive things, so I'm totally happy with it all!

SLink released the Aussie thongs last night and I am soooo happy! I've been looking for new flip flops, but didn't want to have to go through tinting feet again. Since these work with the SLink Natural bare feet, I don't have to tint a thing. They come with both mens & womens sizes, and unrigged modifiable so that you can adjust as necessary.

Oh, and in case you had noooo idea, Hair Fair has started! Wasabi Pills came out with the Ichigo hair and I simply adore it.

Chillin' With Books

I don't always wear mesh clothing. I do probably 95% of the time these days, but sometimes, you just can't beat some nice texture layer clothing, like the cute Denim Vests from BOOM for Stumblebum, and these lovely LaceBack tank tops from The Sea Hole.




Barnesworth Anubis came out with a really gorgeous skybox for this month's Collabor88. The Stockholm skybox comes in both a furnished and unfurnished version. I just adore the bookshelves!!

If you use the unfurnished version, the new Laura living room mesh set from MudHoney is just the perfect set for the skybox!

Another Collabor88 post! This month's round is so amazing, I almost can't stand it.




Kyoot brings us the very pretty Whitehaven Beach Dress, which is partial mesh. For those of you who claim that mesh doesn't fit you, these types of dresses are a great option because the mesh "flap" works so much better than the typical prim flap. I love the lace texture work on the front, and the Garbo Graduated combo necklace from Maxi Gossamer pairs up with this nicely.

Trompe Loeil always does such great mesh skyboxes and the Sunbleached skybox is no exception. It's very well made and simply gorgeous! Plus it will only run you about 60 prims, so if you're looking for a summer home or just a place to get away, this is a great choice.

Awww yeah! Collabor88 for July is starting up! I get so freaking excited for each round because each time, the participating designers just totally bring it! The palette for this month's theme is "Bleached," so it's neutral and gorgeous!

Come On Over

When I saw the new Shasta dresses from JANE, I immediately thought of a pretty housewife, maybe back in the 50s or so. I absolutely love vintage inspired clothing, so this is definitely a dress for me!




Okay, so maybe it's a little shorter and more low cut than an old school housewife would wear, but that's what makes it fresh! It is mesh, of course, and comes in standard sizes. By the way, all of the older JANE mesh clothing [before standard sizing!] is on clearance! But hurry in, you only have a couple of weeks before it's retired forever.

Don't you love when house makers make decor sets to match houses? Funky Junk recently released the super pretty Beatrice house, and the new Beatrice kitchen was made to match! It's not just pretty, it's interactive! You can cook, wash dishes, sit around. It's fun! For those of you who like a little more realism in your SL, this is the kitchen for you. Come on over, I'll make you some soup!

I love the 7th of every month for one huge reason... Collabor88 starts the next day!! This month's theme of "Shindig" is a blend of summery citrusy colors that you won't want to pass up!




Chantkare brings us the Shaggylicious mesh sundress. It's a simple dress but the colors in this just POP! Paired up with Ingenue's mesh Jive wedges, also at Collabor88, you have a great summer look!

Several Amazing Pixels

I kind of embarrassed myself earlier when the new One Bad Pixel releases were shown. Before I could stop myself, I wrote "I want to lick the dresses!" Who SAYS that? But for real...look how pretty this one is!




I'm wearing the Chryssie Maxi Dress and I'm so in love with it, I might not take it off for a while. It's just so pretty! It has one strap that goes around the back, shows plenty of cleavage, and it's long, but not so long that it's sinking into the ground. I'm barefoot in this photo and the dress just skims the ground. There are a dozen colors and I just KNOW this will be a summer staple!

If you haven't been out to CHIC² yet, go go go! You NEED the Anais 2 hair from Wasabi Pills! I was a huge fan of the first version of this hair with the ponytail, and now I love this version even more!

Oh, and if you didn't know, Zaara is having their annual sale until June 9th! 50% off all items, so head out there and shop! I've been in love with the Indra painted stacked bangles for a long time! And after you hit up the Zaara sale, head to Long Awkward Pose for the final closing sale. It's sad, but at least you can pick up some awesome poses for cheap!

Oh so CHIC!

It's almost time for the CHIC² birthday event to open!! It opens today at 4pm SLT. I'll come back and update this post with the SLurl when it does! It's open now!!!!!




There is a lot of CUTE CUTE stuff out there, as you would expect from a CHIC Management event, so it's definitely not to be missed! The event has 150 of CHIC's best loved stores and each brand will have one new and exclusive (for the duration of the event) item with the theme of CHIC. Also, be sure you're good with your camera. The event area is smallish, but the store pods are stacked in levels. You could fly to each one, but I was able to see everything by just standing in one spot and camming around. And yes, it WILL BE LAGGY ON OPENING DAY. Go in a simple outfit and take off your scripted items. Believe me, no one cares what you look like or how you're walking. They just want to shop!

I'm always hungry for more mesh goodies. In fact...I'm FaMESHed!! Haha...see what I did there? No, seriously, the new FaMESHed for June is awesome!




I'm not really familiar with the store MONS, but I'm happy they're in FaMESHed this month! The Sha top and the jeans from their Summer Love Collection are just so sweet and cool for the summer. I'm actually not a fan of jeans that are different colors other than regular blue or black, but as soon as I saw these, I HAD to throw them on. Just lovely!

Oh! And you need to stop by SLink! The Ilena sandals are seriously my new summer staple. The BEST part? They are to be worn with the rigged mesh Barefeet from SLink! So if you already have the feet [and if you don't, you SHOULD because they're fabulous] you just have to wear your new sandals. No having to tint more feet! So fab! If you DON'T have the Barefeet, you need to get them if you want to wear these sandals. I'm hoping this means Siddean is going to make more flat sandals for the Barefeet!
