My Friends Are Mean!

I'm not saying how they're mean, but they are. THEY KNOW WHAT THEY DID. :-p

Style - My Friends Are Mean

Yesterday I saw this super cute purse called Cat's In The Bag and I had to run right out to Remarkable Oblivion to pick it up! It's different than most of the purses I carry, but that's what I love about it! There were some really cool rings out at the store too, so I know I'll be back.

While I was out there, a girl was in the store with this hair. I loved it! I had to snap a pic of her and ask my Plurk buddies where I could find it. This led to them being VERY MEAN to me!! But whatever, because they did tell me to go to Ploom where I found the Mile High Pony. I think it's adorable! I love big hair and always will. :)

Kitty and I are going to shop!

[PS: My friends are actually awesome. I'm just teasing them like they teased me. :)]

Working For The Weekend

Back when I used to work in offices, I liked outfits that I could take from day to night with a few little adjustments. My outfit today reminds me of something I would have worn back then.

Style - Working For The Weekend

I decided to hit up two new-to-me stores today! I know, after my Coldlogic kick, it's probably a shock! :-p First up, I hit VinCue and got the Knotty tank. It's so cute! I love the little tie in the front. The cool thing about this is that while I'm wearing it basically solid here, it comes with a HUD and while the top part stays whatever color you buy, the bottom has 9 colors to choose from. Love!

Then I ran over to Mutresse and picked the Simona trousers. You can never ever go wrong with a classic pair of trousers that have a flattering cut!

Zaara just released new mesh jewels! The Atiriya jewelry set is just total love. I'm wearing the necklace and a bracelet, but there are earrings as well. I didn't put them on because with my new [and so super cute!] Lavinia hair from Truth, they wouldn't have shown.

I want to know about more new-to-me stores! What are some of your favorite little places that might not be well known yet?

Inspired

Are you ever just totally inspired by another blogger? I am, frequently! I saw a very cute dress that Rylan was wearing in a post, and I WANTED it so much! The store, La Penderie de Nicole, is a totally new-to-me store, but one I'm definitely going to be returning to. Especially if they keep making cute little dresses like this one! Thanks, Ry, for helping me find a new store and inspiring me to look more fashionable! ♥

D Is For Delicious

Last year for the Shoe Fair, the creators were all assigned to one of the official bloggers. I was lucky enough to get Squinternet Larnia of Donna Flora, and I was very happy! Donna Flora is one of those stores where when you buy something, you instantly feel just a little more fashionable.

Style - D is for Delicious

I've been in love with the Dana shoes since last year. They're not overly fancy, but they have just that little bit of "kick" [no pun intended!] with the jeweled buckle that brightens up an outfit. I also love the thick heel with the little embellishment. Totally classy.

Speaking of stores that start with the letter D, Decoy is bounding onto the mesh scene! I picked up the Valerie dress at the March Mesh Madness event. I love simple little sundresses and this fits the bill to an absolute tee.

Oh, and while you're at MMM12, stop by Maxi Gossamer. This new-to-me store has some great mesh jewelry, like the Babette necklace I'm wearing. Only this necklace I got for free by joining the free in-world group, so if you want to sample the work before deciding to buy, you can do that. But I guarantee after you see it, you'll want to buy more more more!

Once Upon A December

We recently set up our winter park on the island, and I'm so happy with it, I want to be outside all the time! Luckily for me, there are warm things to wear because I just can't be out in the snow without proper clothing!

Style - Once Upon A December

I happened upon new-to-me store Severed Garden last night while browsing marketplace. I hopped on over to the mainstore and fell in LOVE with the Dana boots and the Priska hat and hair! These are no modify items, which I know might turn some of you off, but there are convenient little HUDs to change the colors of your boots and socks, hat and hair. My only real complaint is that I would like to be able to resize the boots separate of the socks, but I managed to make them fit and they are fairly inexpensive, so it all works out!

Pose store STaTus is participating in the Royal Living Magazine Snowman Hunt and fitting to the title, they've put out this cute Snowman Lover. There are 10 poses in the snowman, and who doesn't love poses and snowmen, am I right? This is a PAY hunt, and each hunt item costs $45L. But I'm sure multiple blogs will have all the items, so you can pick and choose what you want.

I'm off to play in the snow some more!

A Little Deanie

Oh, it is so good to be home! I have been itching to get back to my blog! [I know, I know, that sounds lame.] But with Collabor88 starting, and Vintage Fair coming, can you blame me? I'm amazed at the items the creators have put out for both events. It's a bad month for your wallets, but OH...such a good month for getting tons of pretty new things! This outfit reminded me, a little bit, of Natalie Wood when she played Deanie Loomis in the movie "Splendor In The Grass." Ever seen it? You should. It's fab!

Style - A Little Deanie

At the Vintage Fair, I found this beautiful Chiffon Calais dress from new-to-me store Lisa L. I'm a total sucker for lace, so I just had to snatch it right up!

The new Vintage skin from Curio is so sweet and old fashioned! With the added tattoo pencil brows, you feel like you stepped right back in time. It's perfect with the new Soft hair from Elikatira for Collabor88 this month!

Style - A Little Deanie-headshot

I have much more to blog, but for now, I must shop!

Love On Top

Did you know the Creators Stamp Rally was going on now? I love love love the CSR because not only is it fun to get prizes, but often I get to find new-to-me stores, or get to remember stores that I had forgotten about! If you aren't familiar with the CSR, it's pretty easy. I suggest reading the blog to find out what to do. But just know if you want ALL the prizes, you'll need 20 cards to stamp, and that means buying 20 things. Or if you're lucky, you'll have friends who have extra cards and give them to you. :) I was on a mission for cards last night, so I went to shop!

Style - Love On Top

Niniko is a new-to-me store and particpating in the CSR. I picked up this cute little Chiffon Cutsew top there! I love simple tops to pair with jeans, but the big bow on it gives it that extra little kick to keep it from being too plain.

I hadn't been to Honey Kitty in a while, so I was really happy I stopped by! Look at the aptly named Sweet Sweet Bag! I don't know if I want to use it as a purse, travel with it, or put my lunch in it! The bow is color change and there are several bag colors available. Honey Kitty is also participating in the CSR.

Remember when you're out shopping to get cards that most of the stores only have cards in their newer items. Most of them will have a sign over something saying it has a card in it, but when in doubt, just edit and look in the contents. Of course, things at these stores are so very cute, you probably won't care if you get a card or not!

Oh! I'm starting something new on this blog that I've seen others do by adding the name of the designer next to the store SLurl. Does that make it easier for you all to find things? I try really hard to always look up every SLurl before posting, but I didn't know if you guys care either way. Let me know! :)

I just needed eggs!

It never fails. You run out to the store for just eggs or milk, not looking your absolute best, and sure enough, you run into someone you know! It's happened to me more times than I can count! Oh. That doesn't speak very well of me, now does it? But no matter! At least this time, I was wearing some cute sweats!

Style - I just needed eggs!

Doppelganger Inc. just released their new Vintage Sweats and I am in love. LOVE! Super cute, super comfy, and they come in all kinds of colors. I'm wearing the white & aqua Dance sweats, but most do not have any writing on them. I think they're adorable! Be sure to pick up the pack of matching sports tanks as well, when you're picking these up. I chose to pair them up with the teal My Milkshake tank from BOOM, the Patteson flip flops from Reek, and I'm carrying my new Lisa bag from new-to-me store Leri Miles Designs. I almost haven't been able to take off the Bree hair from Truth since it came out, I love it that much.

Hm. With all these goodies I'm wearing, maybe I don't have to be so embarrassed to run to the store for eggs after all!

Turning Up Spring

I really love new designers. Well, let me clarify that statement even more. I really love new designers when they're GOOD. When Tia Biscuit [how cute is that name?] popped up in my IM box last night, I was happy to accept some of her work. And when it turned out to be cute things that are just my style? Well, it was 10 times better!

Style - Turning Up Spring

From Tia, I'm wearing the Turnups Cords. I just love the splash of color from the belt and the cuffs! The cuffs and the belt are color change with 4 different color palettes. Really really cute! I am wearing them in the Spring color to match my ToteBag, which is also in Spring. I really love when designers make accessories that match their clothing! Oh, and the best part? Although the pants are low rise, they go up in the back so you're not being tacky and showing butt crack! Love!

Head over to Tia and check it out. I'm sure you'll find something you love!

[PS: Tia is on an Adult sim, so you will need to be age verified before you go. But you can also find her items on the Marketplace.]

So Much Good!

There are some days that I just have to jump on the bed and squeal because there is just so much good stuff in SL!

Style - So Much Good!

Did you know that adorable Elle Kirshner of Second Spaces has a sister? And did you know her sister is getting her feet wet in the fashion world of SL? Swan Ling brings us Argyle Anonymous, a great little store with some cute and pretty affordable items! I'm wearing the green Buttoned Shirt over the cream Floral Tank. Keep your eyes open on this new store!

I'm sure you all know by now, but there's a new Belleza skin out! Erika is a sweet faced cutie with a precious little freckle under one eye. Like all Belleza skins, it's beautiful. I'm sure a billion other bloggers will show you all the goods on the skin, but I'm not that kind of blogger, so you just get to see a close up! I'm wearing the Pale 3 with the Lips 5 tattoo layer lipstick. Soooo lovely.

Style - Belleza, Erika close-up

Do you love it? Of course you do.

Oh, look at my eyes. They're from new-to-me store Banana Banshee. They're called Janszoon and I'm wearing them in Seagrass. Gorgeous.

Shoo now. Go shop!

Are you a gambling man, Santa?

My super talented friend Aisuru Rieko created this really awesome "Nightmare Before Christmas" type area on her land. As I was putting together this outfit today, I knew that I wanted to take a photo over at her place. I hope you don't mind, Aisu!! :)

Style - Are you a gambling man, Santa?

I popped into new-to-me store Villena yesterday and fell in love with this adorable Warm dress. I've been on the hunt for long sleeved dresses, and this one fit the bill nicely. Oh, but even though it comes with glitch pants, please remember to put on panties. Or don't, if that's the way you roll. Combined with the Ella stockings from League, the Posh booties from Gos, and the Nicole hair and knit cap from fri.day, and I think I'm quite ready to hang out with Jack Skellington this holiday season.

30 Days - Day 20

Some days, I just feel the need to be ladylike and almost vintage like. Like...Lucy Ricardo or Donna Reed. I'm just standing around, waiting on my man!

Style - 30 Days - Day 20

This dress from new-to-me store Oyakin is just too precious for words! This is called Mizutama-onp and it reminds me of dresses my grandma wore back in the photos I saw of her in the late 40s-early 50s.

What goes better with this kind of vintage dress than these cute Freynii pumps from Ingenue, and the Vintage 50's Pearl & Diamond necklace and earrings from Dark Mouse? Almost nothing!

I think I need to make a cocktail. You know my man likes it when I have one waiting for him when he comes home. ;)

Today's Gaze - Overly Cute

I'm not usually fond of the overly cute look on me. I love it on other people [like my friend Aisuru does it and does it amazingly well], but on me...no.

However, I was checking out the Fifty Linden Friday pics, and stumbled across this dress. I knew just the hair I wanted to wear with it, and voila! Instacute!

[All SLurls are at the bottom if you don't want to read!]

Review - Today's Gaze - Overly Cutesy

The Confetti dress from Katat0nik is currently in Fifty Linden Friday, and look how adorable it is! Of course, that's just what you'd expect from Katat0nik anyway, as the entire store is just filled with super cutesy dresses. I like the tiny little skully detail, and I may end up wearing it like a babydoll top later on.

The hair is from new-to-me store, Heart Softens. The store is filled with cute -and kinda big- hair. And oh so budget friendly! You can get a fatpack for less than the cost of one color in some other stores. I'm wearing Lott in ash brown, and I'm just crushing on the big fluffy side ponytail! It is no mod, which I don't usually love, but there is a resizer script and at this price, it's not a big deal to me. Is it the best quality you'll ever see? No. But cute and cheap works for me!

My shoes are also cute and budget friendly from G Field. I came across these Kate mary jane heels at the Shoe Fair and fell so in love with them. I'm wearing them in cream, and the bow is color change. Love!!!

My skin is Isolde by Exodi in the Cachet tone, #13 makeup and my pose is by Exposeur. I'm also standing in the Daydreamer house by not yet opened Funky Junk. Trust me, when it opens up, you guys are going to WANT these prefabs. Too cute!

I'm off to run around in my cuteness!

Alicia In D!valand

This may be the lamest title I've ever thought of. /sigh

Sometimes when I'm browsing XStreet, I'll see something and think, "Oh! That is pretty! But where would I ever wear it?" The Wonderland dress by Salt was one of those things. So pretty, but not exactly my normal style, so I figured I'd never wear it.

Last night I was browsing over at D!va hair when I decided to take a walk around the sim. Gorgeous!! Simply gorgeous! Then the thought popped into my head. The Wonderland dress would look great here! After all, can you really explore a sim without being properly dressed? I don't think so!

Review - Salt, D!va - Alicia in D!valand

A recreation of the dress from the "Alice" movie, this dress is just so elegantly pretty. Creator Tammany Goodliffe hand drew the bodice, lace and skirt embroidery based off of photos. Look at the hem - just adorable! The Wonderland dress also includes striped handwarmers [not shown] and vintage Victorian style boots, which you cannot see because of the angle of the photo. If you buy this dress, and really you should, I suggest buying it from the XStreet page because it is $100L cheaper! But do check out the other goodies at Salt because there's lots of pretties!

Oh, and like I said, I was on the sim where D!va is when I took this picture, so of course I had to buy this cute Natsumi hair. The only thing I was not really fond of at D!va is that the hairs are no modify, and come with the resizer script. I much prefer being able to grab a prim and drag or stretch it to where I need it. But hey, if you buy hair that covers your ears, it's not always a problem!

I'm off to go find a white rabbit to chase and who knows, maybe I can find a drink to shrink me. Oh, wouldn't that be nice??

Today's Gaze - Star, White and Blue!

So sometimes...I'm not that fashionable. Sometimes, I just throw things together that I find and I think, "Oh cute! Not blogworthy, but cute!" But what REALLY makes something blogworthy in the first place? The simple fact that I like it, right? I liked this, so I'm blogging it. Maybe you'll like it, too. :)

[All SLurls for this post will be at the bottom if you don't feel like reading!]

Review - Today's Gaze - Star, White, and Blue!

I was out at Love Soul looking at prim nails [my latest love] and I came across this kind of cute little outfit called *Star*. It had a shirt, some short shorts, and a visor. I had to buy it, because...hello? Visor! Now unfortunately, the shirt is only the "tucked in" version, which kind of sucks because I like most of my shirts untucked. But, it was still cute. The shirt comes with the arm star tattoos, and if you wear the shorts, there are some little booty and leg tattoos as well. And of course, this just adorable visor with stars on it makes me super happy!

I chose to not wear the shorts that came with the shirt and visor because they are cut a little too high in the front. If I need to wax just to wear some denim shorts, that's a big no in my book. I do love some short shorts, though, so I tossed on my trusty Booty Shorts from League. Hey, I said I didn't want to wax. I never said I didn't want to show my butt off!

From new-to-me store Sugar & Spice, I found these cute Red, White & Blue Star Sneakers. Too cute, and pretty inexpensive! That's two of my favorite qualities! And from Reek, I put on the red striped socks from his Slides sandals.

Was this the most "fashionista" thing I could have blogged today? Nope. But I feel super cute and no random boobs are hanging out! Score!

Today's Gaze - Boho Bright

I'm always a fan of stumbling into new-to-me stores. Today I was trying to find the landmark to a store when another store name caught my eye - BoHo HoBo. That sounds like just my kind of store, so I skipped over and was so so happy that I did!

[All SLurls are at the bottom if you don't feel like reading!]

Review - Today's Gaze - Boho Bright

Look at this simply adorable skirt! It's called Banjara and I'm just in love with its bright colors and patterns! Is it the best quality skirt on the grid? No, not at all, but it's pretty darn good! It reminds me of something you might make yourself, which I just love. Like almost everything at BoHo HoBo, it's inexpensive and guess what? All proceeds from the store go to the Central Asian Institute!

The Central Asian Institute is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization with the mission to promote and support community-based education, especially for girls, in remote regions of Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Pretty clothes for a worthy cause. Awesome. :)

While looking for jewelry to wear with this outfit, I was reminded of Yak & Yeti. They're not a super well known store, but they do some nice Indian inspired work. And the BEST part? It's all free. I know! I'm not sure why or how they manage that, but I'm glad that they do. I'm wearing the Bollywood jewelry set in silver & topaz. It's so cute! I'm also wearing the Filigree Tibetian Anklet from there. It's not the most exquisite jewelry around, but it's free and it's lovely, so you can't ask for much more than that!

I think it's time to go dance in the sand to watch my pretty skirt swoosh around!

The Mariposa Effect

You know how sometimes you hear the whisper of a store name in SL, but you don't really know what the store is or what it sells? And then one day, you hear the whisper again, and you finally look it up and head over? That's what the store Mariposa was for me. But now that I've gone, oh my! I will want to go back again and again! Absolutely gorgeous jewelry, and the creator, Felicity Winslet, was incredibly nice to me! Good customer service goes a long long way in my book.

This is the Acat jewelry set, and I am just thrilled with it!

Review - Mariposa - Acat Jewelry

Acat caught my attention because of the turquoise beads. I just love turquoise! In the set is the necklace, bracelet, and earrings. Felicity was also awesome and she has included 2 necklaces in the package for both the chest and the spine attachment points. There are 4 different color options to choose from. The jewelry is no modify/copy/no transfer and comes with resize scripts.

Flutter your wings to Mariposa [which is the Spanish word for "butterfly." See what I did there?] and check out all the really awesome jewelry!
