Multicolored Moods of Love

I've always loved butterflies. Not just because they're pretty, but because they're a symbol of transformation. We all change, in one way or another. I'm not the same person I was 5 years ago. We change and if we're lucky, we change into better people, just like caterpillars change into beautiful butterflies.




I fell in love with the Papillon set by GizzA that is out at Shiny Shabby right now. It includes the necklace and the eye accessory. I don't know how often I'll need butterflies for my eye so I will probably use these again somewhere in my hair.

Bring It One More Time

I used to be really against templates. I watched my creator friends learn Blender and Maya and they'd curse and bang their heads against the walls and all to make first original sculpts, then original mesh. But over time, these same people have let me know that working with a template to texture it can be just as much work as it is to create it in the first place, and many of them hate texturing with a passion. Given the choice, I will still go towards the original mesh items first, but now I'm pretty happy to get things just because they're cute. :)




Ducknipple has a sub-brand called SLX Outfits, and that's pretty cool because you can get entire outfits for fairly cheap! Are they templates? I'm pretty sure! But it's all super darling and sometimes you find great pieces in the outfits. I liked the Hipster outfit immediately because of the jeans. Jeans in SL almost NEVER are long enough for me. I don't really care for skinny jeans [in either life] and I prefer a good boot cut or bell bottom jean that just about hits the ground. These jeans are awesome! The outfit includes the jeans, sweater [color change with a HUD], belly chain, and necklace that I'm wearing in this pic, plus a pair of sandals and a slim headband that didn't make it to the picture.

My sister has us doing inventory cleaning boot camp before The Arcade [I had to delete 6 things just to get this outfit!], so I'm back to the grindstone! Happy shopping!

Too Dressy For Coffee

When I was younger, there was this guy who worked at our local Starbucks and he was SO CUTE. I'd find myself going in there when he was working and I was just way too dressy to get a simple coffee. I guess it worked though. I scored more free coffee than I can say!




I really like the Leather Shorts and Vest set from United Colors that is out at The Liaison Collaborative this month! At first I thought that it had gold studs, but when you look closely, it's actually little gold knots. That actually works better for me because I'm not really into studded items. The shorts and vest are separate, so you could wear the leather shorts with another top, or the vest with some jeans. Versatile!

All this thinking about coffee has me craving some, so I'm off. Happy shopping!

You Belong Somewhere You Feel Free

We have a little park set up across the street from our house now and I've been having way more fun being outside rather than inside the house these days. I am a total sunshine and warm weather type of girl!




Livalle will be participating in 21Shoe this month and I'm wearing one of the two pairs of shoes you'll be able to buy, the Eliza cork platform wedges. I love a good wedge in the spring and these are so bright and pretty. Remember that 21Shoe is a 24 hour event that is only on the 21st of the month so you'll have to be quick like a bunny if you want to get these pretty shoes!

Truth released some new hair today and I'm just nuts about the new Avena hair! It's all loose and twirly and a little bit messy. It's kind of how I feel in the spring!

Oh But She Burns

I seem to get my inspiration for photos from music lately. I've been listening to "Cherry Wine" by Hozier on repeat lately and somehow came up with this photo using some items from The Liaison Collaborative!




I really like the Mabelle set from Eudora 3D for TLC this round. It's the perfect mix of leather and lace [the theme of this round!] and it manages to be both sexy and sweet at the same time.

Breno made this great Ballet Studio for TLC, but don't let the name fool you into thinking you can only use it for ballet. It would work as a nice one room home or a small store, too! It's lovely, open, and I know I'll get quite a bit of use out of it.

It's Never Black Or White

The Liaison Collaborative opened today and it's a Leather and Lace round! And oh my GOSH. There are SO many pretties, I hardly knew where to start! But I figured I'd be a little bit naughty today, in honor of the Valentine's weekend.






I love when people make things for events that just work so well together. Enfant Terrible created the Rosalies corset and flower headpiece and ugh, they are just too gorgeous! I wasn't sure what I was going to wear with the corset, but luckily, Baiastice made the Pigalle lace lingerie set that fits with the corset fabulously! The lingerie is mesh but works extremely well with the Maitreya mesh body. And the Miss Steel heels from Rebel Hope just work great with everything.

Tarte made a Corset Chair for TLC and although it has some great poses in it, for these photos I chose to use a couple of poses from the Pure Heat set by Ma Vie that you can also find at TLC. And even the room I'm in, the Room Despair is at TLC! The room is part of a collab between Bauhaus Movement and Zerkalo.

Do you take selfies? Do you take naughty selfies? C'mon, you can tell me! Hey, it's almost Valentine's Day. Why not take one and give your loved one a thrill? And yes, I always use the front camera for my selfies. That's where the beauty filter is!




My friend Kirsten's husband is pretty talented, and he just kinda makes whatever Kirsten happens to want at the time. Lucky girl, huh?? :) Recently he made some lingerie sets for his marketplace store, Dabble Dooya, and was nice enough to share with me! I love the pretty Hearts lingerie set! The panties have good coverage in the back, but let just enough of your cheeks show! I love this because soooo many lingerie makers in SL seem to think everyone wants a thong. The lingerie comes in 3 different colors/prints and has Slink, Maitreya, and Omega appliers along with just the regular system layers if you're not into mesh bodies yet. And it's really inexpensive at only $50L for the set!

Live It With Love

Certain As The Sun

When I was growing up, Beauty and the Beast was one of my favorite fairy tales, even before the Disney movie came out. I fell deeply in love with the story in all its different retellings. But one thing that remains a symbol of the story is the rose. There is always the rose.




Enchantment this month has a Beauty and the Beast theme! Now with Enchantment, it works kind of like the old Creators Stamp Rally. You go to one of the participating stores, buy a special item, get a card, and then get your stamps at all of the stores. You can read all about how it works here on the blog. If you want a stamp card and a pretty ring at the same time, head over to Cae to pick up the Belle ring! It's a stacked ring with a pearl, tiny gems, and a big rose. There is a HUD to resize and change the colors of the metal, gems, pearl, and rose. It also comes with options for standard avatar fingers and for mesh hands. [Please buy mesh hands. Please don't put this pretty ring on your janky avatar fingers.]

Bound By Love

Happy February! It's a short month, but that just means we've got to pack lots into it! Like the opening of FaMESHed and Burlesque!






Rebel Hope is at FaMESHed [which is on a new sim! Update your LMs!] with two spicy offerings. The Persephone dress is deceptively simple, but ever so sexy with the corset style lacing up the sides. Rebel is doing a great thing by offering the dress in the standard sizes, a fitted version, and versions for the Slink, Belleza, and Maitreya bodies. However, I found that the Maitreya version didn't quite work for me with the alphas because of the lacing up the sides. I don't know if it's supposed to fit without alphas or what, but it just didn't work for me. I'm wearing the dress in the standard medium size and it seems to work fine that way.

The Hello Lovah heels are also by Rebel Hope for FaMESHed. You can't quite see it in the photo, but up at the top near the buckle, there is a heart lock and key dangling. Love it! The heels come with options for Slink, Belleza, and Maitreya feet.

Burlesque is happening now and what a fun event! Exposeur is there with the Burlesque Cage to pose in. It has 10 great poses to make you feel sexy and fun! Burlesque only runs until the 15th, so hurry on out there.

I Still Remember Her After All These Years

With all the billion events that happen every month, do you ever notice that you honestly don't know what you've even bought any more? And that you have boxes of things that you've never worn? It's kind of sad, in a way, isn't it? We buy and buy and buy but never really have a lot of time to enjoy things before we get more new stuff. So today is kind of a "Throwback Thursday" for me because I dug out a few older things from my inventory.




People are still making winter items, but I'm ready for spring! The Mari dress from Valentina E. is a cute warm weather sundress that you could dress up or down. It shows some sideboob, too, so would probably be good for dates! :)

Hucci is a great subscriber group to be in because there are group gifts quite often. The latest one was the Valdez pump in this pretty teal color. It comes with a HUD to change the color the strings and the soles of the shoes and shoes to fit both the Slink and the Maitreya feet. It's really like getting a wearable demo because once you wear this around for a while, you're going to want to go get all the colors! Sneaky! :-D

Spring Is Coming?

My daughter, Abby, has been asking me when spring is coming back. Well, soon... but with spring comes gardening and just between us, I'm not that great at it! At least I look cute, though.




Coldlogic released today! Just a smallish release [well, smallish for them!] of some layered shirts and dresses. You know I'm thrilled every time there's something new! I'm wearing the Carpenter top and not only is it pretty adorable, it fits great over my Maitreya body! That's kind of a big deal these days, isn't it? Finding clothes that fit over whatever mesh body you're wearing. :)

21 Shoe is happening today and you can get these fabulous Elsa boots at Livalle! I'm still pretty much in love with Frozen, so you know I already loved these just for the name alone. There wasn't an option for the Maitreya body, but the standard avatar ones fit pretty well over the legs. There is also a hud to alpha out the tops of the boots so you can wear them under pants.

N21 starts today and Second Spaces is there with the Garden Sink you see behind me. This comes in a couple of colors [I'm using the winter one] and if you don't want anything on the shelves, there is an option for that, too. The sink actually works when you touch it, if you like when your plumbing works.

Junbug is at The Liaison Collaborative this month with the super pretty Mademoiselle Coco gown. The front has a floral design that goes straight down, but it was a wee bit too low cut for me on the bodice [I kept seeing areola no matter what I did!] and I thought the back of the dress was more interesting, so that's what I chose to show off here.

Project Limited opened yesterday and it's just as it sounds - All the items are LIMITED! Cae is there with the D'Anjou jewelry set and you need it! I honestly cannot tell you how many are left at the event, so you need to run there right away if you want this gorgeous jewelry. Like pretty much all of Cae's products, it has a HUD so you can change some of the colors of the jewels and metal. But once it's gone, it's gone, so go go go!

I Will Not Ask You Where You Came From

I'm so very much in love with the I Will Break Your Heart dress by Valentina E. It definitely isn't breaking my heart! In fact, it's so ruffly and girly, it's making my heart happy! And it fits perfectly over mesh bodies! I never thought that would be a big deal for me but I'm totally loving wearing mesh bodies lately and it's important that my mesh clothes fit on them.

The Liaison Collaborative opens on the 15th and there will be lots of clothes, poses, and all kinds of goodies for you to shop for!

It's All London, Baby!

I'm still on my Friends marathon and just finished up the one where they all went to London for the wedding. London, baby! And this came at a good time because there is a wonderful fundraiser starting for one of the sweetest girls I know.

Amy, known as Scarlet Chandrayaan (owner of Alouette) in Second Life, is one tough young lady. At the young age of 26, Amy was planning the big move interstate with her boyfriend ready to start a fresh new life together when she received the news no one ever wants to hear. Cancer that she had fought off once before has returned and this time it’s worse. The doctors have given her 2 years at the most if she just continues on with life as it is at the moment and makes the most of the time she has left. There are a few options open to her, but none a sure fire cure all. No one wants to be dealt this blow, whether young or having lived a long life, but Amy is soldiering on with a smile on her face ready to battle this with whatever options she can. We’re all hoping she can fight this once more and live a long life.


Leaf On The Wind is the fundraiser to help sweet Amy with her wish to see London. I think it's a worthy cause and I hope she gets there and is just as touristy as Joey was when he went. :) Leaf On The Wind is from January 10 to February 1, and there is lots to see and get, so go shop!!!!

Don't You Talk To Unicorns, Too?

Don't you sit around having nighttime conversations with your unicorn, too? No? Well, you're missing out. Unicorns are pretty smart. Collabor88 is opening up with the theme of "OMG! UNICORNS!" Trust me when I say this made a LOT of people very happy!




Second Spaces brings us the Unicorn Chaise Set for Collabor88 and it's super adorable! The set comes in either pink or teal and has the chaise, the framed prints, and a deco wall. I used the pink wall and the teal chaise and prints because you guys need both sets and I had to show that. :)

I'll Be There For You

I've been binge watching Friends all weekend and the theme song has been stuck in my head. I was trying to come up with a better title for this post, but the song is all I can think about. Dang you, Friends!! Oh right - shopping!




I headed out to The Chapter Four and picked up this cute Natalie outfit by GizzA. It's a little bustier and a mini skirt with a peplum. Very cute, and it worked with my Maitreya body, so double snaps for that! I also played the LODE gacha there and got the Hortensia Branch in the mixed color. I am so all about cute head stuff lately, especially flowers! And it works with the Vera hair by MINA, also found at the event. So so so much cute out there!

Did you know that Mandala is having a sale? Yep! 30-70% off everything in the store! I picked up the Kyara jewelry set and let me tell you, it was a steal! The sale is only for 10 days, and some older items will be retired afterwards, so you need to head out there and shop now!

If We Want To See The Rainbow We Have To Put Up With The Rain

The title of my post today is one of my favorite quotes. Too often we get swept up in just wanting everything to be perfect all of the time and life just isn't perfect. But before you know it, good things happen again.




I love the new Mila dress by Coquet out at FaMESHed this month! It's a simple little dress with a long cardigan over it, just kind of cute and sweet. It's a little more low cut in the front than I'd like and there are some areas on the sleeves that don't quite work with my Slink hands, but in general, I really like this dress.

Uber opened up on New Year's Eve and Fri.day is out there with the terrific new Isabelle heels. They have a super tall heel, a great platform, and are topped by a cute little bow. The Isabelle heels fit the high Slink, Belleza Venus, and Maitreya Lara feet.

Happy New Year's Eve!! This post is less of a fashion post and more of a thank you. I wanted to give a HUGE HUGE HUGE thank you to the wonderful designers and event coordinators that took a chance on me this past year and have allowed me to blog their lovely creations and for their fabulous events. I may not have been able to blog as often or as quickly as you might have wanted this year, but believe me when I say that I am grateful for everything! I promise I'll try to do better for you guys in 2015! And of course, an enormous thank you goes to my sweet readers!! I am thrilled beyond measure every time I blog something and someone says, "I had to go buy that!" Without readers, there would never be a reason to blog anything, and don't think that we ever forget that! :)
