If I Fall For You, I'll Never Be The Same

I'll admit, my favorite new show is Naked and Afraid. They stick these 2 people out in the middle of the jungle or the swamp or just some remote place, buck naked, and tell them to survive for 3 weeks. Sometimes they'll make some clothes out of leaves and stuff, but I feel like if there would ever be a time to wear animal print, it would be then. I'm not always a huge fan of animal print myself, but between being naked and wearing animal print, the print would win every time.




Emery is out at FaMESHed with the Andy Leopard Jeans and the Oslo Basic Top. Like I said, I'm not a big fan of animal print, but the print on the jeans is just subtle enough for me. Both the jeans and the tops come in several colors.

My Slink Obsession starts tomorrow and I'm thrilled to see Ingenue is part of it! The Nanette wedges are simply perfect! If you are still not on board with the Slink feet and hands at the very least, maybe My Slink Obsession will change your mind!

From There To Back Again

Just a quick little post today because I feel cute! One of my favorite things lately is to see how I can make outfits just a wee bit more "family friendly." Not that there's anything wrong with showing cleavage and all of that, but there are days when you really just don't want to give away the farm.




Fishy Strawberry made some cute items for this month's FaMESHed! The Carthage dresses are sweet, short, and colorful! They are also a little bit more low cut in the front than I'm comfortable with, so I dug around in my inventory for an old tank top to slip on under it. But to make the outfit show a little less skin, Fishy Strawberry also made matching July Shrugs, too!

Floating Along

Okay, so, here's the thing. In my RL, I'm ridiculously scared of balloons. Not so much the balloons themselves, as I think they are pretty, but the very fact that they can pop just freaks me out! I have a phobia of sudden, loud noises. I know, I know. It's weird. So the chances of my carrying a big bunch of balloons like this in RL? Slim to none, and if I did have to, I'd be holding them like a bomb. But in SL, I get to enjoy the pretty balloons, so that is awesome!




You know what else is awesome? FaMESHed! Zaara is out at FaMESHed this month with the Kalika tank top and the Elina shorts. I am in LOVE! Especially with the shorts, because I've been looking for new shorts that aren't denim and/or don't show off too much booty crack.

Do you ever go out to the Woodland Treasures gacha event? You totally should, especially if you're a kid av or you like super cute decor items. Pita Pocket is out there with their Little Carny Party set. There are several adorable items in the set, all carnival themed, but I'm just using the Balloon Cart for this picture. I know people are getting gacha burn-out, but this is so precious, you need at least a few items!

I'll Save Myself

The Poser Pavilion [SLurl to come later] starts tomorrow, August 25th! The theme is Area 51, matching with this month's The Garden theme. It's looking to be a good one!!




Pretense has this awesome Area 51 pose box for the Pavilion this round, and it's really cool! Gidge and Cajsa collaborated on this item so what you get are awesome poses in an awesome projector box. The box comes in a few colors, and when you turn on your shadows and local lights, the box really pops to life!

Btw, did you know that Zaara is having a sale?? Yes ma'am, a 50% off sale! As soon as I heard, I ran on down there and picked up the Ashima blouse because I've had my eye on it for a while! The Atiriya jewelry I already had, because duh, it's gorgeous.

Working For The Weekend

Back when I used to work in offices, I liked outfits that I could take from day to night with a few little adjustments. My outfit today reminds me of something I would have worn back then.




I decided to hit up two new-to-me stores today! I know, after my Coldlogic kick, it's probably a shock! :-p First up, I hit VinCue and got the Knotty tank. It's so cute! I love the little tie in the front. The cool thing about this is that while I'm wearing it basically solid here, it comes with a HUD and while the top part stays whatever color you buy, the bottom has 9 colors to choose from. Love!

Then I ran over to Mutresse and picked the Simona trousers. You can never ever go wrong with a classic pair of trousers that have a flattering cut!

Zaara just released new mesh jewels! The Atiriya jewelry set is just total love. I'm wearing the necklace and a bracelet, but there are earrings as well. I didn't put them on because with my new [and so super cute!] Lavinia hair from Truth, they wouldn't have shown.

Even If The Skies Get Rough

It was a gray gray day here today, so having a gray background for today's picture just seemed very fitting. But even in all the gray, once in a while, the sun broke through. I like when that happens. Just kind of reminds you that better times are ahead.




Auxiliary has these awesome Belted Bell Bottoms for Collabor88 this month. They are lowwwww rise. Seriously - don't even think about wearing them if you aren't waxed clean. But I love them a lot, even though a little butt crack does show in the back. I'm wearing them in Vintage because I really like the side panel.

It Was Like A Movie

Cinema is coming on October 13th! Have you heard about this? It's a fabulous new event brought to you by The Hottie Cooterati Experience and is centered around the movies! Here In My Deep Purple Dreams

Trompe Loeil did this awesome Dreamy Genie bottle and oh my God, is it cool! You can fit a bunch of your friends in it, and it comes in different colors and in both adult and PG versions.

My lovely lilac Cindy shoes are from Ingenue and I can't call them anything other than adorable! I love a great wedge, and with the sweet little bows on the tops, they'll be making a lot of appearances on my feet!

D!va brings us the Norma hair, a messy curly short style that makes me want to just put my fingers in my hair and play with the curls all day. The hair comes with 2 different bangs.

In non-C88 news, last night I had a nice little conversation with PXL skins designer Hart Larsson. What a sweet guy! I'll admit that I'm not really very familiar with his skins [I tend to find a skin I like and stick with it for ages] but he introduced me to his Kate skin. I just love it! It has a very cute face and lots of makeup options. Total love!

You know what I love? Collabor88!! And oh you guys...this month? AMAZING. I know, it's amazing every month. But this month is special because it's the one year anniversary!! Elymode made the Leoness mesh skirt for the event and it's really cute! Now I am usually a medium in standard sizing, but I found the medium too big in this skirt, so I'm wearing a small. If you're a little more on the curvy side, try this skirt on. I think you'll find that it's a more generous in the hips than some that are out there.

Glitterati has the Wild pack of poses for Zodiac, and I really like them. But I'm a bit of a pose whore [about 10,000 poses currently take up space in my inventory - possibly more] so I'm ALWAYS happy to add more to the bunch!

Several Amazing Pixels

I kind of embarrassed myself earlier when the new One Bad Pixel releases were shown. Before I could stop myself, I wrote "I want to lick the dresses!" Who SAYS that? But for real...look how pretty this one is!




I'm wearing the Chryssie Maxi Dress and I'm so in love with it, I might not take it off for a while. It's just so pretty! It has one strap that goes around the back, shows plenty of cleavage, and it's long, but not so long that it's sinking into the ground. I'm barefoot in this photo and the dress just skims the ground. There are a dozen colors and I just KNOW this will be a summer staple!

If you haven't been out to CHIC² yet, go go go! You NEED the Anais 2 hair from Wasabi Pills! I was a huge fan of the first version of this hair with the ponytail, and now I love this version even more!
