Make A New Plan, Stan!

My parents were already married and had 2 kids by 1966, so they never got to be free lovin' hippies. Plus it really wasn't in their nature, being the more clean cut, responsible type. But they certainly enjoyed them when they encountered them and by the time I came around, they raised me on some great music and to be their little free spirit. So this small area I've put together using some items from an upcoming event makes me happy! [And made me put on some Simon & Garfunkel music!]

Style - Make A New Plan, Stan!

Perfect 10 is a new home and garden event coming up on February 1st! It features home and garden designers alongside full perm creators and replaces The Designer Warehouse event, if you were familiar with that one. The items will be half price or less, and exclusive to the event. There will also be some gacha to play, for those of you who are gacha addicts! I don't think there is a theme for this upcoming first round, but a few of the designers who were kind enough to give advance copies of items seemed to be in the bohemian spirit.

Perfect 10 starts on February 1st and runs until February 15th. It should be fun!

Bathroom Break!

There are a couple of things [among many, really] that I love in SL. One is having a house that is realistic enough, and two is... The Arcade!! When Elle Kirshner of Second Spaces started showing sneak peeks of her Arcade set Bathroom Clutter, it spoke to every thing in my "Of COURSE I need a bathroom in SL!" heart of hearts.

There are 11 items in the collection, and you will want every single one! Two are rare, and all of the items except for the Crates of Things are only one tiny little land impact! Elle is the queen of clutter as she's proven time and time again. But really, it's the cute little details that just MAKE a home, don't you think?

Here is the gacha guide for you with better, up close photos of the items.

The Arcade starts on March 1st! You can see all of the awesome stuff on The Arcade Shopping Guide, too!

I'm Coming Home

HOME EXPO IS COMING!!!! Sorry for the caps, but this is definitely one of my favorite favorite favorite events of the year!

Style - I'm Coming Home

This is the sixth year for the Home and Garden Expo in Second Life. The event has over 100 of Second Life's best home and garden creators, so there's sure to be SOMETHING you need for your home there! This year the event spans 8 sims for just the home and garden products, 2 sims for the Breedables Fair, and 1 sim for entertainment. There will be a great hunt, silent auctions, and raffles, too! It's going to be so much fun!

The Home and Garden Expo runs from May 24th to June 2nd and benefits Relay For Life. See you there!

[I'll have all the SLurls for the Expo when the time comes!]

Summer Joy

I think everyone knows that I am TOTALLY a summer girl. Nothing makes me happier than to see those temperatures rising and wake up to sunshine every morning. Luckily for me, creators are coming out with awesome new stuff to keep this summer girl happy in SL!

Style - Summer Joy

Jane has new mesh goodies for us! The Sweet n Low jeans are really great because they're casual enough to wear with sandals [or no shoes at all!] but can be paired up with your favorite heels for a night out! They do have 2 length options, too, just for this reason! What I really like is that they are lower rise, BUT not so low that you need to worry about sharing the goods if you bend the wrong way. The Casey halter was just made for these jeans because it is flowy and the hem is up enough that you get a cute glimpse of belly. I know these halters will be in my summer rotation because unlike some halters I have similar to this, it doesn't cut into my pants.

Funky Junk has this awesome Summertime Dock out at the Home & Garden Expo. It comes with the lanterns, but if you want the furniture, you can buy it separately at the Expo. The dock comes with sits, and a few length options. Both the dock and the furniture are RFL items, so buy them and you'll be donating to a great cause!

And hello? Do you see my hair? How is the new Lola Summer mesh hair from Wasabi Pills just NOT the best little look for summer? Braided pigtails and a hair kerchief? Love! Total love!

Okay, off to go enjoy the sunshine!

So Livable!

It's almost time for Culture Shock!!! Funky Junk is participating with the very awesome Vista house!

Style - So Livable, Interior

Just one shot of the inside, because I haven't gotten all the other rooms totally decorated. :)

The Vista home is 2 bedrooms/1 bathroom, and has a generous sized living room and dining area, plus a kitchen and a great back patio. There are also two gardens that just give the home an extra bit of pretty. What I really love about this home is that it's very livable! It's not ultra modern, or country chic, or all kinds of fancy pants. It's a nice, normal, comfortable home, and I love that! The Vista fits on a 32x23 footprint and is 290 prims with the gardens, 220 without. It's copy/mod/no transfer.

50% of the proceeds from this home goes to Culture Shock's chosen charity, Médecins Sans Frontières. Be sure to check out the THREE matching accessories for the house that are at Culture Shock and are 100% for the charity. Great stuff for a good cause? Sign me up!

Lazy Days!

It's Spruce Up Your Space time!! I swear, I just love this event! Of course, I'm a total home & garden addict. Funky Junk doesn't disappoint with the new Lazy Days Hanging Bed and Gazebo!

Style - Lazy Days Gazebo

Style - Lazy Days Hanging Bed

The gazebo is just awesome and comes in at 37 prims. It does include the bed! But you can also purchase just the hanging bed on its own if you aren't in need of a gazebo for your garden. The hanging bed is 17 prims, no copy/no modify, and has 19 couples cuddles and 7 single poses. Get it this weekend for SUYS if you want the discounted price!!

Also, be sure you've updated your landmarks to the NEW Funky Junk mainstore over on The Pea! It's super pretty out there!
