The Nostalgia For What Never Was

A couple of days ago as I was logging in, I noticed on the Firestorm login screen they were promoting A Clockwork Spiral. It's a steampunk themed charity event benefiting the National Kidney Foundation. I was intrigued because in my many years in SL, I have always been fascinated by the steampunk genre, although I know very little about it. My darling husband and I went out there last night and he treated me to a couple of things I just have to blog!




The cool thing about this event is that I got to see stores that I'd never heard of before, like Kita's Sideshow. The Inventor's Daughter is such a classy dress! Actually, it's two pieces, so you could wear the skirt and shirt separately. I love it!

NanTra poses is also out at ACS with the Dozer's Divan. There are 10 poses in it, and 5 textures to choose from. Plus for a couple of the poses, you get to hold a cane, and it came with the cool little monocle that I'm wearing.

The Mechanika fob watch by Eclectica is probably my new favorite thing! You all know how much I adore dragonflies, so this makes my heart happy. It actually tells time [you can set the time zone] and the gears move!

It's That Kind Of Day

Have you ever just had one of those days? I mean, here I was, going for a nice little boatride, when suddenly my boat started filling with water and my oars floated away! *sighs* At least I look adorable, thanks to the upcoming round of Fit For A Princess!






How cute is this Modern Princess Sundress from Nomi? I just want to run around in it singing about wanting adventure in the great wide somewhere. The skirt has 4 different colors, and the top has 2 colors, and they can be changed with a HUD. The dress goes great with the Brocade Slippers from Lassitude & Ennui that will be out at the event, too! The slippers have pretty little pearls on the tops and these are for the Slink natural bare feet.

I first became aware of Tiny Trinkets because my daughter had a bracelet made for me around Christmas time, so I was excited to see that they'd be out at Fit For A Princess! I love the Medieval Beauty necklaces! They come in different colors, and are very easily resized to fit everyone from Toddleedoos to adults. If you're an adult, though, you're going to need to edit from your inventory when you first put it on because it is going to be all in your body since it really is sized more for kids.

Fit For A Princess starts on August 1st!

My Friends Are Mean!

I'm not saying how they're mean, but they are. THEY KNOW WHAT THEY DID. :-p




Yesterday I saw this super cute purse called Cat's In The Bag and I had to run right out to Remarkable Oblivion to pick it up! It's different than most of the purses I carry, but that's what I love about it! There were some really cool rings out at the store too, so I know I'll be back.

While I was out there, a girl was in the store with this hair. I loved it! I had to snap a pic of her and ask my Plurk buddies where I could find it. This led to them being VERY MEAN to me!! But whatever, because they did tell me to go to Ploom where I found the Mile High Pony. I think it's adorable! I love big hair and always will. :)

Kitty and I are going to shop!
