Happy New Year's Eve!! This post is less of a fashion post and more of a thank you. I wanted to give a HUGE HUGE HUGE thank you to the wonderful designers and event coordinators that took a chance on me this past year and have allowed me to blog their lovely creations and for their fabulous events. I may not have been able to blog as often or as quickly as you might have wanted this year, but believe me when I say that I am grateful for everything! I promise I'll try to do better for you guys in 2015! And of course, an enormous thank you goes to my sweet readers!! I am thrilled beyond measure every time I blog something and someone says, "I had to go buy that!" Without readers, there would never be a reason to blog anything, and don't think that we ever forget that! :)

And All Along I Believed I Would Find You

We had a wonderful party last night! I didn't plan on blogging my dress that I finally found to wear for the party, but well, I logged in and I'm still dressed. And it took me SO long to find a dress, I feel like I should share! :)




So like I said yesterday, I went to La Penderie de Nicole night before last, and when I saw the My Swarovski Dress, I knew it was perfect for the party! It's short, but with the neckline being just off the shoulder and having long sleeves, it's both classy and simple. It comes in different colors and there is a same style dress without the crystal pattern as well, if you're not into sparklies.

As much as I like dressing up, I think it's time to take off my heels and go do some shopping!

The White Swan Steps Out

Last night, my lovely family threw me a birthday party! I wore a "vintage" G Field dress that some said reminded them of the White Swan. Luckily for me, Gos Boutique released the new Paris Peeptoes just in time for me to go to the party!




These shoes are just perfect for almost any look - simple or fancy or casual or sexy! My favorite thing is that the peeptoe cut-out is a heart! So sweet! I'm wearing them in satin, and they also come in shiny patent. They come in several colors, and of course with the Gos Boutique OneTime HUD, you have hundreds of your favorite skins to choose from so tinting to your skin is a super breeze!

You're Gonna Miss Me By My Walk

Have you ever noticed that we spend a lot of time looking at our own backsides in SL? When we walk around, our eyes are just THERE. Right on our booties! But luckily there are some fantastic stores out there that make items that make our behinds totally look-worthy. Such as...




The new Damask jeans from OneBadPixel are great for your butt! Actually, they're great all over, because they hug your curves in ALL the right places. But yep, I'll admit, my eyes went IMMEDIATELY to my behind! With these jeans, people might be sad to see you leave, but they sure won't be sad to see you walking away!

Oh god, I'm so lame. LOL!

While you're walking away, people can see the cute bow in your hair on the new Misty hair by Truth! I always love how there is some little detail to Truth's hair that just makes it fab. For me this time, it's the little twist in the back of the hair that leads into the ponytail. You can't really see it in this picture, but when I got the hair, I was just delighted to see it!

Berry's Meme - Meet My Friend!

When Berry made her Meet My Friend meme, my first thought was to do it with my best friend. But then I thought, well that's highly expected, now isn't it? Over the past 3 years, I've shied away from making too many new friends and have stuck with the same few people. Back in January, a blogger named Kirsten Corleone added me to Plurk, but either she wasn't using it much, or I wasn't paying attention, because I didn't really notice her until last month. But let me tell you something - I'm glad I did because she has become one of my favorite people in SL, and I knew she was the one that I should do the meme with.




I'm deviating away from the meme slightly because while I did ask her questions, I've always found that you get to know a person better when you're just talking. And oh, did we talk last night! But most of what we talked about needs to stay off the record because it was just us getting to know each other more. I'm sure you all understand. ;)

What I discovered about Kirsten is that she's awesomely sweet. She's a lover of pink. She has more jewelry than you can shake a stick at and is now my new go-to person for when I need to find just the right accessory for an outfit. Although she's been in Second Life for many years, she still loves it and we both still make noob mistakes all of the time. She's deeply dedicated to her partner in a way that makes you think, "Awww!" and not "Ughhh."

The best thing that I discovered about Kirsten is that she's someone I feel really comfortable around, and as most people know, that's not something that happens a lot for me. I'm very glad Plurk allowed me to meet her, and I'm very happy that this meme allowed me to know her better.

Have you gone to the Maitreya sale yet?? I will totally admit, I wasn't going to because for some reason in my brain, I only was remembering the shoes. I thought "Pfft. I have most of those, and I'm really too lazy to tint stuff myself these days anyway." But then I remembered...

The Mignon Evening dress is just so lovely and to be honest, I don't know why I haven't bought it before! But I'll tell you what. Getting it for half price was CERTAINLY nice! :) The Maitreya sale lasts for 2 weeks, so scoot on over and shop!

If you haven't been to FaMESHed yet, you need to go because look at how gorgeous the Eva shoes from Gos Boutique are! They're just so darn classy! And you really can't go wrong with the OneTime skin matching HUD. Easy tinting and gorgeous shoes? Yes, ma'am!

I'm Coming Home

HOME EXPO IS COMING!!!! Sorry for the caps, but this is definitely one of my favorite favorite favorite events of the year!




This is the sixth year for the Home and Garden Expo in Second Life. The event has over 100 of Second Life's best home and garden creators, so there's sure to be SOMETHING you need for your home there! This year the event spans 8 sims for just the home and garden products, 2 sims for the Breedables Fair, and 1 sim for entertainment. There will be a great hunt, silent auctions, and raffles, too! It's going to be so much fun!

The Home and Garden Expo runs from May 24th to June 2nd and benefits Relay For Life. See you there!

It's a good day for singin' a song!

I feel like I've been away from this blog forever! If you read my personal blog, you know why. If you don't...well, what's wrong with you? LOL! Kidding! Let's get on with the good stuff! Well, and some bad stuff. But it's mostly good stuff.




After many years on the grid, and many years of being my "Almost Always" posemaker, Adorkable Peapod is closing her store. SADFACE. She has been one of my favorite favorite posers for ages and although I know this is the best thing for her, I can't help but think "What about ME!" There is a closing sale at aDORKable Poses until June 9th, so be sure to go pick up some goodies. Thanks for all the years of being the best!

Truth Hawks released some great new hair this week along with his brand new textures! The textures are truly lovely, and although I might have given him some sh!t for taking away the 2 colors I wear most, I do really like the new colors. But shhh, don't tell him I said that. I fell in love with the Lotus hair because I've been doing a side braid a lot in RL lately.

The Boutique opened up for a new round and I'm loving the new Cupcake jewelry from Cae and this awesome Lotus Crown from Noodles! The cool part is that my Cupcake ring fits just fine in between my new Diversity ring set from Stellar! There are several separate rings in the set so you can move them around however you'd like. What in the world did we do before we were just able to ADD lots of stuff?? I'm not usually someone who wears a lot of jewelry, but these lovely lovely ladies may be getting me to change my mind.

Keep it basic, b!tches

I'm having a case of insomnia tonight, so I thought I'd do Magenta's Basics, B!tches meme. I almost called her Skittles, which I guess would be what most everyone else knows her as, but in case you went to her blog and were like "Skittles? It says her name is Magenta! What's going on?!" then I wanted to save you any misunderstanding.

Um, anyway.

So Skittles wanted to know what our basics are. What do we go to first, what do we not leave the house with, etc. These are mine!




[Btw, I barely did a single bit of body editing to this pic, which makes me itchy. I did smooth out that jutting angle in my calf, though. I'm not totally crazy.]

I'm pretty simple, if that hasn't been obvious in this blog. But when I'm not blogging, I'm even more simple and it's not uncommon for me to stay in an outfit for days if I'm not blogging, OR switching back into a "more comfortable" outfit right after a blog post. I don't know why. :-p

Hair: I wear Truth hair pretty much 90% of my SLife. I'm most often in his Swedish blonde, but lately I've been doing the Fairyfloss color. Someone asked me why recently, and the only answer I can give is that it makes me happy. My second favorite hairs come from Wasabi Pills, and I have to admit, I am really liking the new textures from Exile. But Truth hairs fit my head the best. This one is Haven and it's the one I reach for almost immediately these days.

Skin: I flip flop between Pink Fuel and Belleza most of the time. I'll admit that I don't change skins too often. When I find one I like and that I feel is very ME, I'll stick with it for a bit, although I do enjoy demoing loads of skins. Currently I've been in Kumi from Pink Fuel because of the mesh hands from SLink, which I wear pretty much all the time now. They have the appliers for the hands, and I'm waiting patiently for the feet appliers. Which leads me to...

Feet: I'm in Gos Boutique feet pretty much always, the flat ones. I don't like walking around on the arched feet very much because it reminds me of Barbie dolls and it's odd to me. It sounds funny to say, but I really like my av to be comfortable! Since it's the easiest to match Gos feet to my skin, I'm in his feet and shoes pretty much always for now.

Eyes: I'd be hard pressed to find eyes I like as much as I love IKON eyes. Way way back in the day, I loved Miriel eyes, and Miriel made a blue color that was bright and gorgeous. I could not find anyone that could make that color again! But then along came Ikon and he made some blues that are bright and beautiful, so I'm a customer for life.

Lashes: I wear two at the same time, actually. Ryker Beck made some tattoo lashes a while back and I wear the Dramatic ones. Then on top of that, I have some super old alpha lashes from the former skin store La Sylphide. I love these lashes so much, I don't care that they're probably about 4 years old.

Tattoo: I've always had a back tattoo in SL. I'm not sure why, but I just always have. I found these back wings from HUZ for free on the marketplace and I just really like them! I think they're very well done. I AM looking for new wings, though, so if you know of any that don't look stupid or don't include sleeves or writing, let me know!

Underpants: I almost always have underpants on these days because with mesh skirts, you just never know who cut the alpha so your lady garden is on display. My faves are the Pop Unders from BOOM. I rarely wear a bra and just put one on for this picture.

AO: Currently I'm using the Daydream AO from Akeyo. Ulaa bought it for me as a gift when it first came out, but if I want something a little simpler without as much movement, I switch to the Akeyo Rookie Female AO which I believe is free or $1L on marketplace.

Shape: My shape is my own. I was a perfect standard size medium but I think there's some vanity sizing going on because I realized a couple of months ago that I fit better into a small and I hadn't changed my numbers at all. So I just went with it and adjusted a few things to fit into a small better. I love my shape a lot, I think it really suits me. My face is tweaked pretty much weekly, and any time I get a new skin, I move things around. I'll never never never be one of those people who thinks that changing their shape must obviously kill a kitten. I love to tweak it to see if I can make myself look a little better or to fit into something I really want to wear.

Is It Raining With You

Collabor88 started today! Woot woot! The theme this month is "Rain or Shine" and the designers have totally had fun with the theme as usual! I know there has been some debate lately, so I'll just say this: C88 was NEVER intended to be an event where people would sell everything for 88L. I have been blogging C88 from the beginning and never never never was it said that all the items would be 88L. If things seemed less expensive in the beginning, it was because it was in the pre-mesh days when a lot of things were less expensive! If you have a problem with the price of these items, you're certainly not required to shop there. But I hope you still will go to Collabor88 and support the designers, because these items are pretty darn awesome. :)

FaMESHed is turning ONE this month and the birthday celebration is spectacular! There is SO much good stuff, like the Little Paris kitchen from Tia, the Odette dress from Tee*fy, and the Fire To The Rain hair from Exile, just to name a few! If you don't usually go to FaMESHed, now would REALLY be a good time to get your butt over there to shop!

If you heard the sounds of female squealing earlier, Gos Boutique released the new Ursula wedges! This is just such a cool looking shoe. I'm usually more classic in the type of shoe I like, but I just went crazy for this shoe! It does use the OneTime Skin Matching HUD, so if you've tinted other Gos feet before, then you know just how easy it is to tint and go!

Strong Like Bull

Hey hey, it's almost May! Jane dropped some great new releases recently and Zodiac is going strong. Strong like bull!




The Day Trip dress from Jane is one of those beauties that you can totally dress up or down, whatever your style is in that moment. I really love versatile pieces and this is definitely that kind of dress!

I totally fell in love with the Andorra necklace that appears to be a collaboration piece between LouLou & Co and Virtual Insanity for Zodiac. It's girly enough for someone like me, but still has an edge to it.

Every Drop In The Ocean Counts

We have our own little private beach on Bluebonnet just a few steps from our home. I love spending time on it and it makes it just that much nicer when I have pretty new clothes to wear while playing on the beach!




Stellar is part of My Attic this month, and has brought us a great outfit called Spring Into Summer. The outfit includes the long skirt that I'm wearing, plus a bathing suit, sunglasses [also shown], earrings, a popsicle, and eye makeup. If you're into huge boobs, it also includes the Tango applier. I just adore the long skirt! I wanted to show a little more skin, so I paired it with the top of the Stillwater bikini from OneBadPixel.

Zodiac has started in the Taurus round, and there are a lot of great things to buy! My pose today comes from the Intuition pack by !Bang for Zodiac.

What's New, Pussycat?

I picked a great time to get over my cold that had me knocked out last week because there's lots of new goodies from Collabor88 and Coldlogic!




Kitsch is the theme for this month's Collabor88 and the creators really had fun with the theme! There are a lot of brightly colored items in fun prints, if that's your thing, it's absolutely worth a look! I'm all about bright colors, so naturally I found this month's theme wonderful!

Coldlogic released some new dresses today and oh my goodness... If you like cleavage, you will LOVE a few of the dresses!! I'm wearing the Bailey dress. It looks more modest, but it's backless and I find that a lot more sexy than showing a ton of cleavage sometimes!

Pose Fair is coming!!!! I'm so excited!! Posemakers are some of the unsung heroes in Second Life, in my opinion. If you like to sit with your partner, or take fun pictures, or fashion blog - you NEED posers! And if you're a blogger and you never credit at least who made your pose, you kinda suck.

It's Time To Begin

The first day of Spring is rapidly approaching, and I am thrilled! I love the start of new seasons, but spring is a special favorite because it is such a rebirth of life. In my opinion, of course. :) And I'm also just so happy with all the lovely spring clothes that are hitting the grid!




Gos Boutique's new Lolita espadrilles are ridiculously cute and so very very perfect for spring! If you remember, Gos had espadrilles years ago, but these ones look even MORE amazing because they are mesh and have the foot & sheath so that it fits a LOT better than the old ones did. The espadrilles also use the Colour+ system, meaning that if you buy one pair in blue and later buy one pair in red, you can mix and match the colors of the ribbon, seam, toecap, and laces using the included HUD. I'm only wearing mine in Dusk Blue, but I had a ball mixing up all the colors to get a bright and cheerful look! These shoes are exclusive to The Boutique currently.

OneBadPixel released some new items recently, including these fab Cuffed Denim shorts, which I'm wearing in a floral print. I had a pair almost exactly like this in RL when I was younger! These shorts fit SO well, too! Sometimes mesh shorts tend to give me a really super huge bubble butt or cut off weirdly, but these are perfect!

Drift is one of those stores where every time they come out with something new, I just get super happy! I'm wearing the new Hangover tank, which is just a cute strappy tank that has removable ruffles at the bottom. I'm not wearing the ruffles today because I was just thrilled to death to find a short mesh tank, but the awesome part is that you can change the colors of both the ruffles and the tank separately. How much do you love options like that??

Well, I'm off to play with my new spring clothes!

Sweet Blossoms

I am so happy that spring is coming! And along with spring, The Liaison Collaborative is kicking off with The Boutique! The Boutique is an almost month long event with over 25 amazing designers participating. Any time I can do one stop shopping, I'm happy!

Could I Take The Bullet

I spent Saturday afternoon reading a free novel on my Kindle and the main girl in the book was a this rich girl who had some of the most amazing outfits. Later I found out the author is big into Polyvore, which explains it. But in the book, this beautiful girl with the amazing outfits has to face kidnapping and being put into hiding. As I was getting my outfit together, I kept thinking about her. I think she would have liked this. Hopefully you do, too!

PS: If you're interested in the book, it's Stalk Me by Jillian Dodd. It's a teen book, and NOT the best thing you'll ever read, but it kept me entertained for a few hours on Saturday.
