There are days where all you want to do is lay down near the ocean and read books.




The Liasion Collaborative opened up for a new round of their awesome events and I was thrilled with the items from Sway's and MudHoney for The Garden! Sway's has a great pergola set called Garrison. It comes with options to have a floor or not [I'm showing it without] and also has a few pieces of furniture and decorations. It's super cute! But I wanted to use it with the Tabatha lounge from MudHoney. This piece is gorgeous! There are plenty of animations in it, too, for sitting alone or with a friend or loved one. If you get the adult version, there's naughty poses, too!




Since the theme is Tuscany Hills for TLC, Lark is out at The Boutique with some Olive Crowns! I'm wearing it in Crown C because I thought the olives matched my outfit better, but there are different colors of olives, and one crown without the olives, just the leaves. So cute!

A Thousand Miles Away Tonight

I'm tired today and feeling a thousand miles away from everything. But! I do love when things come together, especially since it's hard to layer with mesh items.




Coldlogic released some new items yesterday and I am loving the Toney sweater/shirt combo. The little zipper detail on the side takes what could be very plain into something really great! What I love even more is that it works very well with the Presley plaid mini skirt from Stellar, out now at this month's My Attic event. I am wearing the skirt in small and the top in medium and there is very very little clipping as I move around, so I'm happy!

If you haven't been out to The Garden yet, you need to go! I'm standing in the Mars II house by Breno and it's pretty darn cool! I filled up the top room with furniture from Mudhoney and Bauwerk, which you can also find at The Garden this month.

Just Take Your Time

I do a lot of inventory cleaning on an almost daily basis. Not a lot, obviously, since my inventory is still pretty massive. But I throw away things pretty much daily as I come across them. A lot of the time, this does mean I'm throwing out something that was made before August 2011 when mesh came out. However, sometimes I find just the right old [vintage?] item deep in my inventory and I feel like it pulls my look totally together.




I really like the new Band Jackets from Cracked Mirror for FaMESHed this month. Being a former band nerd myself, of course the first thing I think of when I think of band jackets is the letter jacket that I wore almost daily, but these are more like uniform jackets. Quite structured, very classic. These come with a short "shirt" inside, and I kind of wish they had a no shirt option to pair up with a longer belly covering shirt, but I do like this a lot.

The vintage item I found that I felt really went with my whole look was the Ginger boots from Shiny Things. They are from 2010 [very old in SL years!] and just sculpts, but I don't think they look dated at ALL. *sighs* I miss Shiny Things. The store is still up if you want to shop there, though.

By the way, have you been to The Garden yet? If you haven't, you need to go. I'm standing in the Bozeman Barn by Barnesworth Anubis and is it ever awesome! Big rooms and sliding doors and this fantastic two sided fireplace. It would be great for a winter sim!

Time to hop back into my inventory...or go do some more shopping!

Oh my gosh, so so so much shopping goodness is going on! I won't write too much because you guys need to shop and not read, but let me give you a little rundown. The Garden opened this past week and the late fall-early winter goodies are all over the place! Both Coldlogic and Truth released new items this week, and of course you know I'm totally all over that. If you're getting into the Halloween spirit, be sure to check out the Tricky Treat gacha event and Horrorfest.

Good Shoes Take You Good Places

As you all know, I'm all about simplicity in my wardrobe. Don't get me wrong, I love to see the glam, high fashion stuff, but for the most part, I keep my look simple because that's how I feel most comfortable. Ingenue is one of my favorite places for classic pieces and the new Pickford heels from Ingenue for this month's Collabor88 absolutely did not disappoint me!




This lovely shoe, which is an add-on for the SLink medium bare feet, is simple, classy, and feminine all in one delightful little package. The best part about items like this is that you can wear them with a fancy dress, or keep it summery with a pair of capris like I have done here. If you STILL haven't gotten the SLink feet, you really need to so you can go pick up these shoes today!

This New Obsession Is Turning Us Alien

It's time for another round of The Garden, and this one is out of this world! *gigglesnorts*




Area 51 is the theme for this month's Garden, and the designers have gone all out with some space and alien inspired goodies! I never thought I'd decorate with this kind of theme since mostly I'm girly and floral and all that, but oh my gosh, look how cool everything is! Jet on over, because you need everything!

Oh, and PS: If you have me on Flickr, you might have noticed some of my photos not showing up. WELL. Seems like Flickr decided my photos of family, cows, and pretty clothes that cover up all the important bits necessitate a RESTRICTED label. I know, right? A Sidewalk Sundae

I used to be a huge cake fan. Layer cakes, bundt cakes, cupcakes... all cakes, all the time! LOL! Okay, not that bad. But lately, I've been more into ice cream. I am all about the ice cream!





What Next came out with this cute cute Sandbridge Ice Cream Cart for The Garden this month, and I love it! I'm starting to think I might need to hit a growth spurt, though, because I can't see into the cart to pick my ice cream!

And like I mentioned yesterday, I'm still on a huge Coldlogic kick after their new release. The Matthews dress is soooo summer perfect! It's LOW in the back, but not so low that I've got any butt cleavage going on, so yay for that! But this is just so pretty and airy that I want to wear it forever.

I don't know about you, but I have more summer shopping to do!

One Summer Dream

I have been in TOTAL summertime mode lately. Summer is just that special time of the year where you can spend all day frolicking on the beach, and then spend sunset in the arms of the person you love.






Coldlogic did a huge new release yesterday! I'm wearing the Ramsey shorts, which were my favorite shorts out of the new collection. But there's lots of tops, shorts, and dresses for you to get and you'll definitely be seeing me in more items in the coming week.

Poser Pavilion is awesome, and I'm using the Can't Swim pose from WetCat for the event in the first picture. It's really awesome because if you use the posestand, the life preserver just pops up. Love!

If you haven't been to the Cancer round of Zodiac yet, you need to go! That's where I picked up the lovely Guanshiyin tattoo from CoLLisions, and the very hot Cling couples pose from !Bang.

Love Is A Verb In My Room

Summer is definitely here! I don't know about you guys, but some days during the summer, I'm awfully lazy with the heat. All I want to do is lay down in a beautiful bed, in a nice cool room, and just rest.




There are three really awesome events going on right now - Zodiac, The Garden, and Summerfest! And there are lots of gorgeous home and garden items at the events! I'll admit that I'm being super super lazy at the moment and I don't know exactly which event certain things in my room will be found at, but it really just means that you need to hit all three events and check them out. I'm sure you don't mind, right? :)

Refreshments In The Garden

The Garden starts tomorrow!! Yeahhhh!! This is a home and garden event, and oh my gosh, is it going to be a great one!




What Next has brought us this super cute Garden Cafe Caravan and I am just in love with it! It's just all kinds of adorable, and even if you don't have the need to have the full set out all of the time, there are several cute pieces that you can grab from the set and use in your home.

Collabor88 is still going strong, and the Spring Halters from Auxiliary are a total necessity for your spring and summer wardrobe! I love that they show JUST enough skin to feel all warm weather wonderful, but not so much that you would think that your boobs are about to fall out.
