Bound By Love

Happy February! It's a short month, but that just means we've got to pack lots into it! Like the opening of FaMESHed and Burlesque!






Rebel Hope is at FaMESHed [which is on a new sim! Update your LMs!] with two spicy offerings. The Persephone dress is deceptively simple, but ever so sexy with the corset style lacing up the sides. Rebel is doing a great thing by offering the dress in the standard sizes, a fitted version, and versions for the Slink, Belleza, and Maitreya bodies. However, I found that the Maitreya version didn't quite work for me with the alphas because of the lacing up the sides. I don't know if it's supposed to fit without alphas or what, but it just didn't work for me. I'm wearing the dress in the standard medium size and it seems to work fine that way.

The Hello Lovah heels are also by Rebel Hope for FaMESHed. You can't quite see it in the photo, but up at the top near the buckle, there is a heart lock and key dangling. Love it! The heels come with options for Slink, Belleza, and Maitreya feet.

Burlesque is happening now and what a fun event! Exposeur is there with the Burlesque Cage to pose in. It has 10 great poses to make you feel sexy and fun! Burlesque only runs until the 15th, so hurry on out there.

I Still Remember Her After All These Years

With all the billion events that happen every month, do you ever notice that you honestly don't know what you've even bought any more? And that you have boxes of things that you've never worn? It's kind of sad, in a way, isn't it? We buy and buy and buy but never really have a lot of time to enjoy things before we get more new stuff. So today is kind of a "Throwback Thursday" for me because I dug out a few older things from my inventory.




People are still making winter items, but I'm ready for spring! The Mari dress from Valentina E. is a cute warm weather sundress that you could dress up or down. It shows some sideboob, too, so would probably be good for dates! :)

Hucci is a great subscriber group to be in because there are group gifts quite often. The latest one was the Valdez pump in this pretty teal color. It comes with a HUD to change the color the strings and the soles of the shoes and shoes to fit both the Slink and the Maitreya feet. It's really like getting a wearable demo because once you wear this around for a while, you're going to want to go get all the colors! Sneaky! :-D

I really like how most tattoos look on the mesh bodies but finding nice ones that are simple is kind of hard! So many go overboard with coating your whole body, so it's awesome that Lexi made these that are specifically for your calves.

The True Joy Is In Giving

The holidays are fast approaching, y'all! Have you finished all your shopping yet? I haven't, but I gave myself new goodies and really, you have to give yourself something once in a while, too!




I hopped on over to Kustom9 yesterday and picked up this totally adorable sweater dress! The Nordic Knit dress from Amitomo is just so my style! It's all kinds of soft and cozy, and it also comes with a little fur collar that you can detach if you want.

The dress goes perfectly with the Fiona boots by Fri.day, also out at Kustom9. I just LOVE boots with attached socks! You can make the socks invisible, though, with the HUD, or change the color.

I Won't Let It Go

I'm really not a winter person. I like winter clothing and all, but I hate being cold! This past week it's been ridiculously cold for no good ding dang reason and I started thinking, "What if Queen Elsa was evil?" Then I got a couple of items in SL and bam! Evil Queen Elsa was born!




Exposeur has a pose prop set called Let It Go at The Liaison Collaborative this month. There are three different snowflakes and sparkles things to wear that pose you. I edited the prop for this particular photo so that it would be darker, but the actual item is bright and pretty.

I was not really familiar with the store Dead Dollz because I thought, based off the name, it was a store for the goth crowd. But I came across this post yesterday and headed out to pick up the Cosette dress since it is only $1L. Wow! I was really surprised to see so many gorgeous gowns there! Next time I need to dress up, I know exactly where I'm going! This gown is super pretty, but not full mesh. The top is texture and does not come with any appliers. But for $1L, it's well well worth it!




I absolutely love the Ambrosia hair Truth has out at Uber this month and I think it's just perfect to complete my Evil Queen look! The crown is especially interesting to me because I can't quite figure out what animal the skull is. I'm not normally a big fan of more blunt cut bangs, but I like this hair a lot.

Candy Fair is open! There are tons of candy inspired items out there, including the Candy Colors pose box by Exposeur! How cute is this thing? It's colorful and fun, and full of poses. I ADORE pose box things like this because it totally makes my job a lot easier since I don't have to set up a scene or find a place to take a pic. You need it!

When I was looking for an outfit to wear for this post, I hopped around to several events and stores, but nothing was really jumping out at me. Then I thought, "Is Bare Rose still around?" That used to be my go-to place for fanciful, whimsical outfits that were completely budget friendly. They ARE still around, and they are making mesh! [Look for the mesh wall or anything with an M on it.] I'm wearing the Ichigo Cream outfit and oh my gosh, is it precious! It comes with 2 colors and the boots came with the outfit. Don't expect demos on most of the Bare Rose mesh stuff, and don't expect standard sizing. I fit in this perfectly out of the box and I am normally a standard size small. This particular outfit is rigged, but I did see some things that were not rigged so you could edit them to your body. Still, not too shabby for under $200L!!

Give A Little Bit

In a perfect world, no one would ever get sick. Or if someone we loved did get sick, we'd have the money and time to see them. But this isn't a perfect world, and sometimes we need a helping hand. Ulaa Coronet's mother has pancreatic cancer and Ulaa needs to go see her mom while there is still time. Ulaa's little boy has never met his grandma and you all can imagine how heartbreaking it would be for all of them if he never got to. You can read about it on her Go Fund Me page and donate that way, or you can shop at the <3 Ulaa fundraiser that is coming up!




Several designers have banded together to put up some items for Ulaa. Proceeds [either 50% or 100%] will be going to Ulaa for her trip. Enfant Terrible put out these adorable Ulaa Heels and I love them! You can never have too many strappy heels in your life, am I right? These are for the high Slink feet.

<3 Ulaa runs from August 14th until August 18th, and I really hope you guys go shop. There will be donation jars there at the event in the off chance that you don't find anything you like, or you can donate directly to her Go Fund Me page.

Sometimes My Tries Are Outside The Lines

So I'm a little bit late for my Saturday blog. I do NOT want to skip a day in my little personal challenge. But I have a good reason today! I got a new computer! It's lovely and quiet and allows me to run all over the place with my family and hit up events and I was so excited to blog tonight! Okay, so maybe my skills haven't suddenly gotten better with the new computer, but I got to use shadows without my computer almost blowing up on me, so progress, I say!




Exposeur is out at FaMESHed this month with The Elevator pose room set! I don't know why more people don't do photo sets like this. As much as I love poses anyway, sometimes finding a new place to take picture can be tough. This one has several poses for women, men, and couples. And it was the perfect set to show off my new Moccasin Boots by Reign and my Hipster Bag by Remarkable Oblivion, both also found at FaMESHed this month.

But Then Fall Comes

Do you ever go around for days not getting dressed because you know what you'd really like to wear but yet you can't find just the RIGHT thing, and then suddenly something new is released and it's perfect and exactly what you wanted? That's the new Coldlogic release for me!




Dresses and little jackets! Oh, I'm so thrilled!! I'm wearing the Plume dress with the Stiles jacket. The coolest part about this release is that you can totally mix and match the dresses and little jackets, or wear the dresses and jackets alone. I cannot wait to see what I can pair up these little jackets with because they're awesome! And as you can see, totally perfect for the upcoming autumn season!

It's A Cruel Summer

Once in a while [well, okay, most days], I dress myself very simply and I dress myself for whatever the weather in my RL is. Silly, right? :) But oh goodness, has it been HOT here. The kind of heat that slaps you in the face and calls you bad names when you walk out the front door. So this is how I dressed myself. Luckily for me, my husband thinks I'm adorable and he commented last night on how cute I looked. Sometimes he's the deciding factor on if I actually blog, especially if I didn't put together the outfit specifically for blogging. So REALLY, this is more of a "Hey! Look what I found in my closet!" post.




Rebel Hope made these awesome Molly Tie Tanks for FaMESHed this month and I just love them! I've been on a big hunt lately for short belly baring tanks, and these fit the bill to a tee.

I Think I'll Go For A Walk Outside Now

Happy New Year, everyone! I hope you guys had a great one! I love the start of a new year - everything is shiny and fresh. And happily, the start of 2013 brings us a new round of FaMESHed!




The new Libby shirts from E! are just my style! Little argyle sweater vest over a pretty blouse? Yes PLEASE! You can choose either a black or a white shirt, too.

I really like the Charlie pants from Rebel Hope, also at FaMESHed. Sometimes you need a nice, classic, plain pair of pants to wear and these fit the bill perfectly! Oh, and even though you can't see it in my picture, the butt on these pants is cute cute cute! The matching Charlie bag was also a must-have!

FaMESHed lasts until almost the end of the month, so you have plenty of time to go...but why would you wait?!

It's the hap-happiest season of all!

Oh, look at this place! It's beautifully decorated, isn't it?




I just love when I stumble upon sims where I can take pictures. It's so helpful that people decorate so that... What? It's not a sim? OH THAT'S RIGHT. It's a collaboration piece from Pilot and Exposeur!




This wonderful winter Snow Globe makes my heart happy! I collect snow globes in SL, and actually being in one is awesome! Pilot does wonderful mesh work, and Exposeur makes some of the best poses on the grid, so now could this NOT be full of fantastic?? This globe comes in at 44 Land Impact, and has 7 couples poses, 3 group poses, 5 female poses and 5 male poses. Also, there's a little mini version [3 LI] of the globe for decoration! I already have it out on one of our shelves!

I think more people need to do collaboration projects. When two awesome creators combine forces, it's pretty much always amazing!

A Little Cleaning Up

So my dear husband is out of town this weekend, and I figured it would be a great time to clean up a bit around the house. Luckily with the Fancy Feathers collaborative set from Exposeur and Cheeky Pea for Zodiac, I can get all the dusting done!




Miel put out just the cutest little minidresses for today's Fifty Linden Friday! The Playa dress is short and sexy, and has some great color change options via an easy to use HUD.

Spruce Up Your Space starts tomorrow, and MudHoney has this really sweet Harriet set for us. The chair even has an animation to pet a kitty! My kitty from this month's Collabor88 has a new place to sit!

Okay, back to cleaning. I can't let him come home to a dirty house!
