Multicolored Moods of Love

I've always loved butterflies. Not just because they're pretty, but because they're a symbol of transformation. We all change, in one way or another. I'm not the same person I was 5 years ago. We change and if we're lucky, we change into better people, just like caterpillars change into beautiful butterflies.




I fell in love with the Papillon set by GizzA that is out at Shiny Shabby right now. It includes the necklace and the eye accessory. I don't know how often I'll need butterflies for my eye so I will probably use these again somewhere in my hair.

You Belong Somewhere You Feel Free

We have a little park set up across the street from our house now and I've been having way more fun being outside rather than inside the house these days. I am a total sunshine and warm weather type of girl!




Livalle will be participating in 21Shoe this month and I'm wearing one of the two pairs of shoes you'll be able to buy, the Eliza cork platform wedges. I love a good wedge in the spring and these are so bright and pretty. Remember that 21Shoe is a 24 hour event that is only on the 21st of the month so you'll have to be quick like a bunny if you want to get these pretty shoes!

Truth released some new hair today and I'm just nuts about the new Avena hair! It's all loose and twirly and a little bit messy. It's kind of how I feel in the spring!

Tell Me Your Secrets And I'll Tell You Mine

Do you take selfies? Do you take naughty selfies? C'mon, you can tell me! Hey, it's almost Valentine's Day. Why not take one and give your loved one a thrill? And yes, I always use the front camera for my selfies. That's where the beauty filter is!




My friend Kirsten's husband is pretty talented, and he just kinda makes whatever Kirsten happens to want at the time. Lucky girl, huh?? :) Recently he made some lingerie sets for his marketplace store, Dabble Dooya, and was nice enough to share with me! I love the pretty Hearts lingerie set! The panties have good coverage in the back, but let just enough of your cheeks show! I love this because soooo many lingerie makers in SL seem to think everyone wants a thong. The lingerie comes in 3 different colors/prints and has Slink, Maitreya, and Omega appliers along with just the regular system layers if you're not into mesh bodies yet. And it's really inexpensive at only $50L for the set!

Certain As The Sun

When I was growing up, Beauty and the Beast was one of my favorite fairy tales, even before the Disney movie came out. I fell deeply in love with the story in all its different retellings. But one thing that remains a symbol of the story is the rose. There is always the rose.




Enchantment this month has a Beauty and the Beast theme! Now with Enchantment, it works kind of like the old Creators Stamp Rally. You go to one of the participating stores, buy a special item, get a card, and then get your stamps at all of the stores. You can read all about how it works here on the blog. If you want a stamp card and a pretty ring at the same time, head over to Cae to pick up the Belle ring! It's a stacked ring with a pearl, tiny gems, and a big rose. There is a HUD to resize and change the colors of the metal, gems, pearl, and rose. It also comes with options for standard avatar fingers and for mesh hands. [Please buy mesh hands. So Much To Read, So Little Time

When I was in high school, the group I hung around with for a while were all into fancy book covers, usually with zippers. They were usually fabric with bows and ribbons and all kinds of stuff. I don't know. We were weird. I'm still a huge reader but usually I just read off my Kindle these days. Are you guys reading anything good lately? [Well, besides this blog. LOLOLOLOL Oh I have jokes.] Okay, okay. Fashion!




Wasabi Pills is at Uber this month with the Sibel hair. It's cute! I will forever love hair with braids. As much as I like Wasabi Pills in general, I wish the light blonde texture was a bit brighter. But it comes out lighter in pics usually, so I guess it's all good!

Spring Is Coming?

My daughter, Abby, has been asking me when spring is coming back. Well, soon... but with spring comes gardening and just between us, I'm not that great at it! At least I look cute, though.




Coldlogic released today! Just a smallish release [well, smallish for them!] of some layered shirts and dresses. You know I'm thrilled every time there's something new! I'm wearing the Carpenter top and not only is it pretty adorable, it fits great over my Maitreya body! That's kind of a big deal these days, isn't it? Finding clothes that fit over whatever mesh body you're wearing. :)

21 Shoe is happening today and you can get these fabulous Elsa boots at Livalle! I'm still pretty much in love with Frozen, so you know I already loved these just for the name alone. There wasn't an option for the Maitreya body, but the standard avatar ones fit pretty well over the legs. There is also a hud to alpha out the tops of the boots so you can wear them under pants.

N21 starts today and Second Spaces is there with the Garden Sink you see behind me. This comes in a couple of colors [I'm using the winter one] and if you don't want anything on the shelves, there is an option for that, too. The sink actually works when you touch it, if you like when your plumbing works.

She Believed In The Unexpected

Sometimes I just get a vision in my head of a photo and I just have to attempt to create it in SL. I like when unexpected things like that happen, especially since my ideas are often much bigger than my skills!




I'm only kind of familiar with PurpleMoon and what I do know of them, they make gowns and jewelry. But as luck would have it, I found this great Adele suit there! I think it's quite sexy even though it is also conservative.

Rebel Hope has some great heels out at FaMESHed this month. The Maria heels are strappy and studded, and have an option for a bow in the front. I didn't wear the bow for this photo because it would have been too floofy.

A Little Clutter Never Hurt

One of the things that makes me happy in SL is when I can have a bunch of little knick knacks out. It used to be almost impossible to make anything too terribly cluttery because of prim limits. While we still do have the limits, with mesh and awesome mesh makers who can make cute cute things for just 1 tiny land impact, we can have all the knick knacks we want.




The new Amy Bookshelves by MudHoney out at FaMESHed this month are everything my little clutter-lovin' heart desires! You can buy one color of the bookshelves, which do come apart into 3 separate ones and have texture change backs, and pick and choose from the different accessories. But you're really going to want to buy the whole accessories pack that includes 8 book sets, 2 candles, owl, trinket box, 3 frames, 4 vases, 2 plants, and a basket. Since the accessories are copy/mod, you can do as I've done and use more and mod pieces to be bigger or smaller and they're only 1 land impact each! And of course, the shelves look great with some of your own items, too, like I've added for this photo.

If You're A Bird, I'm A Bird

It's the freakin' weekend, baby, I'm about to have me some fun! Ugh, did that just totally make me seem lame? Oh well, I've never been accused of being sophisticated. :)




Rebel Hope has a great coat and leggings set at FaMESHed this month! The Michella coat and leggings set is quite simple and elegant, which suits me just fine in the winter when I want to throw something on that doesn't require me to think too much. I KNOW I'm going to look pretty and appropriate with this on! With each color of the coat, you get 5 colors of the leggings. I will say, though, that I had a bit of trouble getting a hair to really work with the collar of the coat since it is popped. Maybe one day we'll have hair that knows where to stop, huh?

Speaking of hair, Wasabi Pills is out at Uber this month with the Kitty hair. I love a good, full, thick wavy hair and this fits the bill very nicely.

The True Joy Is In Giving

The holidays are fast approaching, y'all! Have you finished all your shopping yet? I haven't, but I gave myself new goodies and really, you have to give yourself something once in a while, too!




I hopped on over to Kustom9 yesterday and picked up this totally adorable sweater dress! The Nordic Knit dress from Amitomo is just so my style! It's all kinds of soft and cozy, and it also comes with a little fur collar that you can detach if you want.

The dress goes perfectly with the Fiona boots by Fri.day, also out at Kustom9. I just LOVE boots with attached socks! You can make the socks invisible, though, with the HUD, or change the color.

There's an art to life's distractions

Sometimes you just don't want to do anything, am I right? You just want to hang out, sit around, distract yourself with looking out at the trees and grass. And you know what? That's TOTALLY okay! You need to do that sometimes!




Fri.day released the new Maggie boots for Collabor88 and I squealed in joy when I saw them! The boots themselves are so pretty, but it's the cute cute sock tops that just make them perfect! The sock tops are detachable and can change colors with a HUD.

Coldlogic released some coats recently, and I am so in love with the Anselmo coat! It reminds me of a bomber style jacket, but all soft and pretty. There is an undershirt to wear with it, but it is detachable.

Oh, and can we talk about my cutiecute pose?? A couple of days ago on Plurk, Olaenka of oOo Studio asked for some pose ideas, and since I'm all full of ideas, I threw some pictures at her. Then she surprised me with a little mini pack of poses named after me! Squee! Thank you, Olaenka!

Just A Little Sweet

I'd like to give a special "Hello!" to anyone looking at my blog for the first time via the Old London Docks fashion feed! Welcome! I'm sorry I'm boring! :)

One awesome thing about our Grand Canyon vacation is that we have a bakery just a little ways from the lodge. So when I don't want to make the bigger hike up to the coffee shop, I can pop in here and grab a cupcake. Because really? Hiking in heels is not for the faint of heart.




I really think the Rayna jumper from Drift for The Liaison Collaborative this month is adorable! It's very simple, but there are HUDs so you can change the color and the fabric of the jumper. I'm wearing it in blue tweed, but you can also wear it in a different color and a cotton fabric.

Ingenue released the Grady heels for Collabor88 this month, and they're just perfect! I should have gotten a better shot of them [sorry, I have vacation brain] but there is a tiny little key hanging off of the button on the strap. So cute! You will need the Slink medium feet for these.

I Never Know

So here's the thing about me. I never know what actually goes together. Weird confession from a fashion blogger, right? Part of the reason I'm so slow with blogging most of the time is because I have NO clue how to really dress myself and pretty much everything I put together is a big accident. I have lots of pieces that I love, but putting them together is hard for me! I know that today, I really like my outfit. Does it all really go together? Not a clue. But I'm happy!




FaMESHed opened last week and how cute is the Miss Muffet outfit from Cracked Mirror?? The cardigan and shirt are actually two pieces, so you can put another shirt underneath and wear the cardigan with something else. The fluffy pleated skirt is just all kinds of cute. And as you can see, it all fits over the Slink Physique body pretty darn well. There are fitted mesh versions of the clothes in addition to the standard sizes, if you're into that kind of thing.

Have you been out to Uber yet? It's a hot one! I'm wearing the Validation shoes from L.Warwick that you can find out there, and although you can't really tell in the picture, they have a great wedge heel. Truth is also at Uber with the Vixen hair and if it were summer and I were still blonde, you'd confuse me with Marilyn Monroe. [Well...maybe.] The Vixen hair also comes with a mask for when you want be in costume.

The summit of beauty and love

It's Collabor88's birthday this month! There aren't many monthly events that last longer than a year or so in SL, and even fewer that do it and stay so consistently good. It's a big event for their birthday month, so if you still can't get in [as I've heard even just this morning!], keep trying! You need to shop!






Fri.day is at C88 for the birthday fun with the new Persephone heels. I really like these because they're almost a bootie, but not quite, so they pair up well with both dresses and jeans.

I'm standing on the rooftop deck of the Santorini Villa by Barnesworth Anubis, also out at Collabor88 this month. This is definitely Greek inspired, and it's all clean and open on the inside. It's only 89 land impact, so it leaves you with lots of wiggle room for decorating.

Give A Little Bit

In a perfect world, no one would ever get sick. Or if someone we loved did get sick, we'd have the money and time to see them. But this isn't a perfect world, and sometimes we need a helping hand. Ulaa Coronet's mother has pancreatic cancer and Ulaa needs to go see her mom while there is still time. Ulaa's little boy has never met his grandma and you all can imagine how heartbreaking it would be for all of them if he never got to. You can read about it on her Go Fund Me page and donate that way, or you can shop at the <3 Ulaa fundraiser that is coming up!




Several designers have banded together to put up some items for Ulaa. Proceeds [either 50% or 100%] will be going to Ulaa for her trip. Enfant Terrible put out these adorable Ulaa Heels and I love them! You can never have too many strappy heels in your life, am I right? These are for the high Slink feet.

<3 Ulaa runs from August 14th until August 18th, and I really hope you guys go shop. There will be donation jars there at the event in the off chance that you don't find anything you like, or you can donate directly to her Go Fund Me page.

I Ain't Made No Plans Myself

The Inola dress by Compulsion for FaMESHed is one of those simple, summer dresses that you all know I love. The one thing that I wasn't thrilled about is that the inside of the straps is not "lined," so in certain positions, it looks invisible. But other than that, it's super cute!

I wore the new Flup-Flops by L.Warwick the other day, but I can't seem to take them off, so here they are again! They'll be out at Uber tomorrow! Uber is a new event with some AMAZING designers participating! You will absolutely not want to miss it! I don't have the SLurl yet so I just linked to the Flickr group so you all can see some of the awesome items!

Everybody's gonna love today

Do you ever just have those times where you're just not yourself? The past couple of weeks have been that way for me. It makes me feel bad because then I don't do anything that I love, like blogging, because I can't even get the "oomph" together to put a simple outfit together. Last week, I was lucky to make it out of bed and not just lie there playing that freakin' Kim Kardashian game! I know, shameful! But luckily things are on the upswing for me, and perfect timing because Coldlogic has a new release that has my name written all over it!




I'm loving the short little Morello dress today! [Several of the new items today have the names of the Orange Is The New Black cast. Love!] It's just a basic little tunic, kind of perfect for throwing on over your swimsuit after a day at the beach, or you could easily pair it up with jeans or capris and a tank top. I pulled out my old trusty tank top to give myself just a wee bit more coverage in the chest department but if you like to let your girls breathe, this is plenty low cut.

And how well does it match my After The Rain sparkle hair from Exile that I picked up at the Hair Fair for the low low price of $1L? I'm telling you, I ADORE this hair. I don't buy from Exile very often, but if this color becomes available more often, I might just start!
