I seem to get my inspiration for photos from music lately. I've been listening to "Cherry Wine" by Hozier on repeat lately and somehow came up with this photo using some items from The Liaison Collaborative!




I really like the Mabelle set from Eudora 3D for TLC this round. It's the perfect mix of leather and lace [the theme of this round!] and it manages to be both sexy and sweet at the same time.

Breno made this great Ballet Studio for TLC, but don't let the name fool you into thinking you can only use it for ballet. It would work as a nice one room home or a small store, too! It's lovely, open, and I know I'll get quite a bit of use out of it.

Junbug is at The Liaison Collaborative this month with the super pretty Mademoiselle Coco gown. The front has a floral design that goes straight down, but it was a wee bit too low cut for me on the bodice [I kept seeing areola no matter what I did!] and I thought the back of the dress was more interesting, so that's what I chose to show off here.

Project Limited opened yesterday and it's just as it sounds - All the items are LIMITED! Cae is there with the D'Anjou jewelry set and you need it! I honestly cannot tell you how many are left at the event, so you need to run there right away if you want this gorgeous jewelry. Like pretty much all of Cae's products, it has a HUD so you can change some of the colors of the jewels and metal. But once it's gone, it's gone, so go go go!

I'm so very much in love with the I Will Break Your Heart dress by Valentina E. It definitely isn't breaking my heart! In fact, it's so ruffly and girly, it's making my heart happy! And it fits perfectly over mesh bodies! I never thought that would be a big deal for me but I'm totally loving wearing mesh bodies lately and it's important that my mesh clothes fit on them.

The Liaison Collaborative opens on the 15th and there will be lots of clothes, poses, and all kinds of goodies for you to shop for!

Happy New Year's Eve!! This post is less of a fashion post and more of a thank you. I wanted to give a HUGE HUGE HUGE thank you to the wonderful designers and event coordinators that took a chance on me this past year and have allowed me to blog their lovely creations and for their fabulous events. I may not have been able to blog as often or as quickly as you might have wanted this year, but believe me when I say that I am grateful for everything! I promise I'll try to do better for you guys in 2015! And of course, an enormous thank you goes to my sweet readers!! I am thrilled beyond measure every time I blog something and someone says, "I had to go buy that!" Without readers, there would never be a reason to blog anything, and don't think that we ever forget that! :)

Life is not a song, sweetling.

I was super thrilled to be invited to be a blogger for Tales of Fantasy! I adore fantasy style outfits, but I don't always know what stores to shop at or anything, so an event like this was really good for me! And even better, the theme for this round is Game of Thrones and that is REALLY exciting to me!






FDD is a new-to-me store that has a gacha out at Tales of Fantasy this month where you can collect the Heiress of Throne set. There are a few colors of both the skirt and the jacket to collect. The belt and the collar are rares and have a HUD to change the colors of the stones and fabric of the items. There is also a rare necklace in the set, but I'm not wearing it in this photo because I didn't see it until it was too late. :-D The crown is an ultra rare, but I think it's pretty dang cool! It also has a HUD to change the colors on the crown.

Tales of Fantasy opens on December 10th, so remember to head out there and get your fantasy life!

Uber opened up today and I just love the Vivi hair that Truth has out for it! It's a big mass of long curls and waves and it just seems so princessy to me!

Speaking of princesses, Fit For A Princess opens up tomorrow and Hopscotch made some super cute tiaras! The Starry Night tiara looks like shooting stars on top of your head! I definitely think I'll be saving this one for my annual New Year's Eve Eve party!

I Just Can't Seem To Shake You, Emily.

One rule I've always had is "DEMO. DEMO. DEMO!!!!" But on occasion, I forget. It never really ends well. Case in point... this absolutely beautiful dress from B.C.C.!




The Emily Romantic Corset Dress by B.C.C. for The Seasons Story is lovely and so completely my style. I was so excited to wear it while we've been on vacation that in my haste, I didn't demo. Unfortunately, the dress is "standard sized" pretty much in name only. The Small does fit me, but then I noticed something really really wrong with the arms.




At first I thought it was my Slink hands because sometimes longer sleeves don't fit quite right over them. But as you can see, my hands stop well before the sleeve starts. I tried moving up to a size Medium, but for some reason, that made the dress completely jam into my shoulders, although the opposite should have been true. I even went up to a size Large, which was not really that much larger than the Small and came with its own set of issues. Then I tried changing my shape, but that didn't really work that well. I sent a notecard to the creator a couple of days ago to ask if maybe I could get a new alpha that goes down a little further on the sleeves, but I don't know how much that's going to fix the problem and I haven't heard anything back anyway.

That all being said, this dress is really really pretty. If you want to buy it, definitely demo it first!

Just A Little Sweet

I'd like to give a special "Hello!" to anyone looking at my blog for the first time via the Old London Docks fashion feed! Welcome! I'm sorry I'm boring! :)

One awesome thing about our Grand Canyon vacation is that we have a bakery just a little ways from the lodge. So when I don't want to make the bigger hike up to the coffee shop, I can pop in here and grab a cupcake. Because really? Hiking in heels is not for the faint of heart.




I really think the Rayna jumper from Drift for The Liaison Collaborative this month is adorable! It's very simple, but there are HUDs so you can change the color and the fabric of the jumper. I'm wearing it in blue tweed, but you can also wear it in a different color and a cotton fabric.

Ingenue released the Grady heels for Collabor88 this month, and they're just perfect! I should have gotten a better shot of them [sorry, I have vacation brain] but there is a tiny little key hanging off of the button on the strap. So cute! You will need the Slink medium feet for these.

Feels A Lot Like Love

Oh look, it's not just me in my blog today! *laughs* I coerced my dear husband to pose with me since he's sporting something new from FATEwear!




We have trouble finding clothes for Aldwyn a lot of the time. He's just a regular ol' guy and likes regular ol' guy clothes. So many times, what we see is just not his style at ALL. Luckily, we never have a problem at FATEwear! He's wearing one of the new Robertson sweaters today, and I like it a lot. [Because what I think is really the most important part of it all, right?] I really like turtlenecks on men, so this is definitely a fall fave for me.

My Attic is still going on and I'm wearing one of the Color Striped dresses by Stellar that you can find out at the event. There is matching nail polish for the different colors of the dresses, too!

FaMESHed really has been spectacular this month, and I am loving the Tie Dye Tanks and Sparta leather pants by Cracked Mirror! I feel like if you go out to clubs or out dancing a lot, you'll make a splash out on the dance floor in this outfit!

Truth released a couple of new hairs recently, and Cameo is a great party hair! It's very full and if you use one of the dipped colors, you get that extra bit of "rockstar" to your look.

My Attic opens up on the 21st and L.Warwick will be there with the new Elation heels. I love love the retro feel of these, along with the awesome textures! They're for the Slink medium feet, and there is also a pair to fit the upcoming Belleza mesh body.

Though This Feeling I Can't Change

I'm not really the dressy type these days. You're much more likely to find me in jeans and flats. But once in a while, my "fancy" comes out!







The Liaison Collaborative is OPEN and how fab is the Narcissist dress by Valentina E?? It comes in two options, one with the closed high front [which I'm wearing because I'm a lady] and one with the open front to show off plenty of cleavage. Both have the low open back. The jeweled necklace comes with a texture change option, as well.

Collabor88 is going strong and you have to check out the new Gloria heels by Fri.day! These shoes are for the Slink high feet, and they are indeed high! The heel is super tall and the glittery strap snakes up your foot in a flattering way. You neeeed these heels in your life.

Oh, do you like my little bird friends? They're out at TLC this month from Half+Deer! They're from The Mad Scientist's Bird and Cage set. The little metal birds' eyes pulsate and glow, but it's not distracting at all.

Keep Your Head Up, Move Along

My little personal "stop being lazy and blog for 7 days" challenge ended on Sunday, but I really think it's what I needed to get back in the groove of things. Not saying that I'm going to continue blogging daily on this blog or anything, but it has definitely become fun for me again, so there's that! If you find yourself in a blogging slump, give yourself a little challenge. It just might kick you out of it!






Fission released some totally adorable new shoes recently! The Spectator pumps are cute and vintagey and come in a bunch of colors! Of course, I had to grab my favorite colors, teal and white, for this post. They are pretty inexpensive at just $150L a pair, but the pink and white ones are on sale for $75L until Sunday, so that's a great little bargain for you budget conscious folks out there. These are add-ons for the Slink medium height feet.

The New Scarlett

Have you ever watched Gone With The Wind? In the opening scene, Scarlett O'Hara is wearing this gorgeous white dress with a red sash. It's the floofy, ruffled, hoop-skirted gown of my dreams, basically. But well, if Scarlett was around today, she'd probably want something a little slimmer.




The L.S. sheath dress from Lumiere for FaMESHed is slim and simple and beautiful! It comes with a HUD to change the colors of the dress and belt, so you don't have to look like a modern day Scarlett O'Hara if you don't want to. Lumiere was formerly Pink & Wild and they don't appear to have an in world store, so you can find them on the marketplace.

Today is Fifty Linden Friday and !Bang has a pack of sit poses out! I don't know about you guys, but I'm forever trying to find decent sit poses, so this pack works great for me! !Bang just moved to its own sim recently, so check that out while you're shopping.

FaMESHed opens up tomorrow and how cute is my outfit from Coquet? The August sweater set and mini skirts are just adorable and SO very perfect for late summer. There are several different colors of each, so you can mix and match!

Uber opened up today and I think the Malibu hair from Truth is really true to the Vacation theme of this round! There are 2 options for this hair - one with the hair over one shoulder like I'm showing here, and one where the hair is over both shoulders. The hair scarf is color change through a HUD.

Have you heard of My Slink Obsession yet? This event is purely for items made for the Slink products! So you'll find lots of nail polishes, jewelry, shoes, and other applier type stuff. I'm loving my Fancy ring from Stellar! I found that it worked best with the Casual Slink hands, but it's not rigged, so I was able to move it and flip it around to work with the Elegant 1 hands. My nail polish is part of the Bridal collection by A:S:S and you definitely don't need to be a bride to wear it! My Slink Obsession starts on August 5th!

The Inola dress by Compulsion for FaMESHed is one of those simple, summer dresses that you all know I love. The one thing that I wasn't thrilled about is that the inside of the straps is not "lined," so in certain positions, it looks invisible. But other than that, it's super cute!

I wore the new Flup-Flops by L.Warwick the other day, but I can't seem to take them off, so here they are again! They'll be out at Uber tomorrow! Uber is a new event with some AMAZING designers participating! You will absolutely not want to miss it! I don't have the SLurl yet so I just linked to the Flickr group so you all can see some of the awesome items!

From There To Back Again

Just a quick little post today because I feel cute! One of my favorite things lately is to see how I can make outfits just a wee bit more "family friendly." Not that there's anything wrong with showing cleavage and all of that, but there are days when you really just don't want to give away the farm.




Fishy Strawberry made some cute items for this month's FaMESHed! The Carthage dresses are sweet, short, and colorful! They are also a little bit more low cut in the front than I'm comfortable with, so I dug around in my inventory for an old tank top to slip on under it. But to make the outfit show a little less skin, Fishy Strawberry also made matching July Shrugs, too!

Bought A Ticket To The West Coast

Guess what? The Arcade is starting this weekend! Squee! Every round, I tell myself "Okay. You CANNOT want everything." But then every round, I tell myself to shut up because there's always cute stuff.




What Next has us On The Move at The Arcade with some great wearable, rideable toys! I'm riding the Candy Skateboard. There are cool things like scooters, pogo sticks, and cars, too! Each play is $50L and there are 9 commons and 5 rares.

Sakura is an awesome hair that you can get in two different styles, the two curly poofs like I'm wearing, or one that just has the curly on one side. Sweet Saturday

Taking photos when your computer isn't the best is kind of hard. But did you know that trying to take a decent photo when your internet connection is practically on dial up speeds is almost downright impossible?? Luckily, my internet issues are all fixed up, which is a good thing because this dress just NEEDS to be blogged!




The Liasion Collaborative opened up on the 15th and Valentina E. made a gorgeous dress for The Boutique! The Coco Ruffled Gown is long, super ruffled, and just oh so pretty! There is a HUD to change the colors of the belt and bow, too. The one issue I had with this dress is that in certain poses, the collar and the back of the dress would dig into my body. But a little diggin' ain't hurt nobody, amirite? :)

How wonderful life is while you're in the world

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! I got around to playing with some of the amazing items from two of my favorite monthly events, FaMESHed and Collabor88!




Rebel Hope is at FaMESHed with the simply cute Pippa sweaters! It's just a basic sweater with short sleeves, which makes it really great for spring when you're not sure if it's going to be cool or warm. I threw it over a [texture] shirt because sometimes you just don't want to display a ton of cleavage.

Collabor88's Rockabilly theme this month is a great one! I am in love with Truth's Thelma hair for the event. The bow is color change, and there is an option to not have the headband on at all. The blue bow matches the sky color of the Moxie heels from Fri.day, also at Collabor88. These heels are sky high! They are add-ons for the Slink HIGH feet, so be sure you have those if you get these gorgeous shoes.
