Some Beach, Somewhere

Our beach vacation is over and we're heading home today. I'm so going to miss this place! But at least I got in one more morning walk along the beach.




Mutresse is at FaMESHed this month and I'm loving the Nadya tank top and Guzia shorts! The top comes in 2 options so that if you wear the shorts, the belt of the shorts won't clip the top, which is awesome. And like other Mutresse products, both items come with handy color change HUDs so you can customize your look.

Maxi Gossamer is also at FaMESHed and how beach perfect are the Bali Gypsy bare foot sandals and necklace, I ask you? I haven't put on shoes in at least 2 days because I just want my feet to be all jeweled up and pretty. You DO need the SLink flat bare feet for these, so if you're still in janky system feet, then your feet can't be as jeweled up and pretty as mine today.

Toothache!

Ouch, I have a toothache tonight! And why? Because of Candy Fair! It's so sweet, it made my teeth hurt! Candy Fair starts on October 4th, but I got a chance to head in early today to look around.




There are three sims of sugary goodness that includes everything from clothes to poses to kids stuff to home decor. I will admit that I didn't care for a lot of the clothes that I've seen so far because I kept stumbling onto candy colored corsets, but I lost my mind in the poses and home decor section! The things for the kiddos are so so cute, too! There really is something for everyone at the Candy Fair.

The Candy Fair starts on October 4th and runs until October 18th. Remember to bring a toothbrush!

But Then Fall Comes

Do you ever go around for days not getting dressed because you know what you'd really like to wear but yet you can't find just the RIGHT thing, and then suddenly something new is released and it's perfect and exactly what you wanted? That's the new Coldlogic release for me!




Dresses and little jackets! Oh, I'm so thrilled!! I'm wearing the Plume dress with the Stiles jacket. House Crossed Lovers

I've been a HUGE Harry Potter fan for years, and so when I saw that FATEplay was doing school uniforms? Well, like most of the grid, I almost wet my pants. I'm wearing the Jenny uniform in Gryffindor colors, and my friend Matthew is wearing the Henry uniform in Slytherin green. Even If The Skies Get Rough

It was a gray gray day here today, so having a gray background for today's picture just seemed very fitting. But even in all the gray, once in a while, the sun broke through. I like when that happens. Just kind of reminds you that better times are ahead.




Auxiliary has these awesome Belted Bell Bottoms for Collabor88 this month. They are lowwwww rise. Seriously - don't even think about wearing them if you aren't waxed clean. But I love them a lot, even though a little butt crack does show in the back. I'm wearing them in Vintage because I really like the side panel.

Happy November!

Happy November, dear readers! I hope you all had a safe and fun filled Halloween. I don't eat a lot of candy any more, so getting new Coldlogic dresses was a better treat for me!




The new Palmer sweater dress is just wonderful! I think I like that I could easily pair this with jeans or put a turtleneck underneath. You all know how I do love options with my clothes!

Truth released some great hair a few days ago, and I'm totally in love with the Josie hair. This reminds me of how my hair normally is here at home - scooped back into a messy bun, usually some some random braids here and there. If you wear any of the fades pack colors, there is the option to have a colored braid or a plain braid. I'm just wearing the plain one in this photo.

I'm a night owl. I always have been, and I think always will be. The funny part is that I'm kind of night blind and I don't go out at night a lot. I save my early evening wanderings for SL.




Stellar has come out with some great new items! The Corduroy mini skirts are just fantastic! I have been waiting for new mesh mini skirts and these fit the bill! There are matching Turtlenecks as well! The turtlenecks are a mix of texture and mesh pieces, so you don't need to worry about sizes. If you're in the Stellar VIP group, there is a free Halloween corduroy skirt waiting for you at the store!

Truth released new hair this weekend, and how amazing is the Dawson ponytail?? I'm still all kinds of excited about his new color fades, so I'm wearing this in Barbie, a mix of blonde and pink. Cute!

FAIR just opened this weekend, and the Joy skin from Lara Hurley is a total win! I've never actually worn one of her skins before [that I can remember], so this was a real joy to try on. I'm a fan now!

As much as I love the night, the morning has me working hard, so I'm off to bed.

Mr. Truth put out new hair last night, and I am totally in love with the new Mayim updo! Have you checked out Truth's new color fades pack? I'm very into the whole idea of dip dyed hair or colorful pieces [having made part of my RL hair pink recently!] so the new colors make me very happy!

And last but not least, the new Equestrian boots at Gos are just so...well, no words! I just can't stop looking at my feet! Long and lean boots with a lovely stiletto heel? I can't think of anything better for my feet this season! As most of you know, Gospel's dear kitty was recently in an accident and after receiving so much support, the very classy Mr. Voom has decided to raise money for the PDSA - The People's Dispensary for Sick Animals - by creating a special edition of each new release. Did Bach Ever Eat Pancakes At Midnight?

I'll be the first to admit I don't pull off "gothic" very well. I have friends who do and do it extremely well, but it's not really my style. But I knew immediately that I wanted to wear The Witching Hour by Indyra Originals for FAIR when I saw it. Then when I saw the L'Opera hat by Tres Beau for the You Go To My Head hat hunt - well, I knew I had today's outfit!




The dress is very short and slim fitting, and comes with the stockings. My favorite part of it is probably the brooch and collar. I like ruffles! And I think the hat is just awesome! I had never heard of this hunt, but after seeing pictures of the offerings, I think I might have to do it!

Autumn Time

I just love autumn as a season. Football games, marching band contests, lots of pretty falling leaves and pumpkins, and of course pulling out the jeans and sweaters! Of course, in my neck of the woods, we're usually still wearing shorts until Thanksgiving, but in SL, it's definitely time to start pulling out the cooler weather clothes!




Coldlogic just released a whole bunch of new items, and I fell in deep love with the Shereda top! A lovely cropped sweater over a pretty cowl necked shirt? Oh, yes PLEASE! I never want to take it off!

At FaMESHed this month, Auxiliary released their new Skinny jeans. I'll admit, I'm not a huge fan of skinny jeans, but these are just fabulous! They're low rise and make your booty just look amazing. And while you're picking these up at FaMESHed, be sure to grab the Noriko hair from Wasabi Pills. I'm not a short hair kind of girl normally, but this hair is so adorable, I can't seem to take it off!

Here Kitty Kitty!

So if you haven't heard, Gospel Voom's sweet kitty, Archibald, was hit by a car recently. Bless his strong little heart, he managed to get himself home and has been fighting like a champion to recover after several days in the hospital. Naturally, the cost of the surgeries and other veterinary care is pretty super high. I think most of us know the cost of having our beloved pets taken care of, and the cost of emergency care is even higher.

Truth District and several talented friends from across the grid have come together to help raise funds for Archibald's expenses. There are some cute items, some of them exclusive to the event, in the fundraiser. On top of that, Gos has his store at Truth District set to 50% off! So help a sweet kitty and an awesome kitty daddy and do some shopping for a good cause. :)

I'm A Unicorn

I really hadn't planned on blogging this outfit. It was just a fun thing I threw together before heading out to a party last night. But I showed a pic of the skirt on plurk, and Gogo said I reminded her of a unicorn. How could I not blog my unicorn outfit after that??




Auxiliary has these cute Alluring Mini Skirts out at Collabor88 and I have never been one to pass up a cute mini skirt! It is mesh, and you will probably need to wear underpants with it unless you are either A) good at modding alpha layers, or B) don't mind flashing cooter. Auxiliary isn't officially open yet, but from the sneak previews they've given us so far, I cannot WAIT until they do!

Also at Collabor88, Ploom has this lovely Tart hair. I used to have my hair like this ages ago where it's a little longer in the front. I'm wearing the dipped color and there is a HUD to change your colors! If it came in a rainbow dipped color, I'd be in heaven!

Mad Glam

Okay, I'll admit it. I'm one of probably 4 people in the world who doesn't watch Mad Men. So when Trompe Loeil released the NYC66 apartment for Collabor88 and people told me it was a recreation of Don Draper's home, I could have been told it's Tony Danza's apartment and not known the difference. But what I DO know is that it's awesome!



All mesh, mostly furnished, and only 260 land impact! Amazing! It's also more of a masculine home, so you men out there are sure to love it.

Glam Affair released a couple of great things for Collabor88 this month! The Zoe dress is a lovely little mesh number. You could easily pair this with boots or heels, or wear it over leggings or even jeans. So versatile!

The Mia skin is quite pretty, although not my normal style. I really love the bright eye makeup to match this month's Collabor88 theme. Here's a close up shot.

All Kinds Of Shopping!

With all the events, I definitely need my strength, so I went to buy groceries! I know the husband will be happy. We almost never eat!

Aura has these cute Ruffled Boho Tops for Stumblebum! They're mesh!! And they go great with the recently released Cuffed Denim Shorts from Mon Tissu. I have been searching for shorts like this my entire SLife!

For FaMESHed, Gos brings us the Triumph boots in Denim! They have the option to have the leg part up, or rolled down like I have it here. The boots come in both male and female versions. Also at FaMESHed, you can get this cool Ketama ring from Maxi Gossamer! It's color change, and I'm wearing it in silver and white. It attaches to your ring finger, but since that's where I wear my wedding ring, I moved it to my index finger. There's a bigger one for your right hand, as well.
