I'm A Beach Diva!

Back when I was a little girl, my best friend had this amazing collection of Barbie clothes from the late 60s/early 70s that her grandma had made. One of my favorite dresses was this long floral dress that I'd always make my Barbie wear with sunglasses. Well, imagine my delight when Eboni Khan of House of Hucci made this incredible Beach Diva dress that reminded me of that same Barbie dress!

Review - Hucci - Beach Diva

Summery and fun, the Beach Diva dress really does bring out the diva in you! This dress has incredible movement to it. It's so swishy and swirly! This probably makes me sound like a total girl, but I can't resist a swishy swirly skirt! And what I think I love most about this dress is the fact that it's both sexy AND fairly modest. Hey, you can be sexy without giving away the entire farm, you know?

The Beach Diva dress comes in different colors [I'm wearing it in Wild Pink] and can be found at the House of Hucci mainstore. Go be a diva!

Welcome To Miami

New from the House of Hucci, these new Miami dresses are sure to set your summertime romances on fire!

Review - Hucci - Miami

This sexy little mini-dress is tight! And I do mean TIGHT because I'm pretty sure if I were to eat a bite of prim food, you'd see the outline of it on my tummy! The dress also boasts some unique side "cuts." The strings play peek-a-boo with your skin, perfect for letting that summer tan show! If you haven't scored your summer hottie yet, this dress will probably do the trick.

Head on over to House of Hucci and then grab your girls and hit the club! It's summer, anything can happen!

The Mariposa Effect

You know how sometimes you hear the whisper of a store name in SL, but you don't really know what the store is or what it sells? And then one day, you hear the whisper again, and you finally look it up and head over? That's what the store Mariposa was for me. But now that I've gone, oh my! I will want to go back again and again! Absolutely gorgeous jewelry, and the creator, Felicity Winslet, was incredibly nice to me! Good customer service goes a long long way in my book.

This is the Acat jewelry set, and I am just thrilled with it!

Review - Mariposa - Acat Jewelry

Acat caught my attention because of the turquoise beads. I just love turquoise! In the set is the necklace, bracelet, and earrings. Felicity was also awesome and she has included 2 necklaces in the package for both the chest and the spine attachment points. There are 4 different color options to choose from. The jewelry is no modify/copy/no transfer and comes with resize scripts.

Flutter your wings to Mariposa [which is the Spanish word for "butterfly." See what I did there?] and check out all the really awesome jewelry!

Ooh, it's an OuTRage!

I'm not really a club girl anymore. Used to be! A long time ago, you bet I used to be! But I sure do still appreciate little dresses that are just absolutely awesome for the club, and this new Thalia dress by OuTRage! is certainly very very clubworthy.

Review - Outrage - Thalia

Review - Outrage - Thalia, long sleeves

The dress comes with both the halter top and the long sleeved versions. I love that it's short, but not SO short that you might as well not even bother with a skirt. The deep cleavage showing neckline ends in a knot that has a swishy ruffle tie. I really like it!

Thalia comes in black, white, gold and silver, and of course you can fatpack it. If you hit the clubs a lot, I suggest fatpacking! You'll be OuTRage!-ous in this dress! [Oh, see what I did there?]

Hmm...I wonder if I can find a date for tonight....

Special corset for a special lady

Love sexy lingerie? Hey, me too! Tonight I went to the launch party for new lingerie from Dick Wiesel of WoE. He created an exclusive "Codie" color for his Olivia corsets. It is, of course, named after CodeBastard Redgrave, owner of the Rouge Sim, MechanizedLife and creator of the Boudoir Rouge photography series. She's one of my favorite people, so of COURSE I was going to run right out and get it!

Review - WoE - Olivia "Codie" Corset

Review - WoE - Olivia "Codie" Corset, back

This pretty little thing has a lace edging and great lacing on the back. It also includes a matching thong. Skimpy! After I bought it, and after I danced around Rouge for a bit, I ran home to try it on. And then my friend Rune came over to give me a hug. Awww, what a guy! Of course, then he left. Something about me not using lens flare...

You can pick up your Codie color corset ONLY at Rouge, and ladies, it is a MUST HAVE. And guys, you can pick one up for your girl because there is a transfer version available. And be sure to stop by WoE to check out all the other colors of Olivia. You'll love it!

Adorkably Elegant

Remember when I said I loved gorgeous ladylike dresses? Still true! When Eboni Khan of House of Hucci dropped this dress on me, I squealed in delight! Collaborating with Moo Money of Made By Moo Textures, they've created Noir Blanc For Trilogy. You guys really should check out the store, it's just wonderful! Look at my pretty pretty dress - Evening on the Town!

Review - Noir Blanc, Adorkable

The dress swirls and twirls [believe me, I've danced enough in it to know!], and I love the big bow on the waist. If you could see the entire ribbon, you'd see that it swoops across the back. The skirt is tea length, which is great because you get to see your shoes! The dress also comes with a fur stole to drape over one shoulder. It's just very elegant and very much in the 1940s theme for Trilogy!

We're posing on one of the newest props from Adorkable Poses - Reflection! It's so cute, and there are several poses in it so you can "mirror" your partner. My friend Rob1977 Moonites of FIR was nice enough to pose with me. He makes great male clothing, so check his store out while you're out shopping!

Speaking of shopping...I think I need to get some more done!

Indyra Gets Me Ready For Spring!

More springtime goodness! Today's outfit comes from the new releases at Indyra Originals. I'm wearing the new Minerva dress and the new Porta Nova necklace. I actually have on the matching earrings, but you can't see them because of my hair. :)

Review - Indyra - Minerva dress

Review - Indyra - Porta Nova necklace

The Minerva dress comes with the empire waisted skirt and matching wide belt. Very hot this season! I'm wearing it in Turquoise, one of my favorite colors, but there are 10 colors available. This is the kind of dress that will take you well into autumn, especially if your autumns are as warm as mine generally are!

Now, I absolutely fell in love with this necklace! The Porta Nova is just so precious, and the jewel textures are wonderful! As you all well know, big oversized gems are quite in this season, and these completely fit the bill. The matching earrings are also stunning! The Porta Nova sets come in 11 different colors, with the classic pearl included in each set.

There are many other pretties at Indyra Originals, so you know what time it is - It's time to shop!

I'll put a spell on you...

Just yesterday I was thinking to myself, "Self, you just don't wear as many costumes as you used to a couple of years ago." Then here comes Deviance designer Surreal LeShelle with simply the most marvelous outfit - The Enchantress!

Review - Deviance - Enchantress

Review - Deviance - Enchantress, back

The Enchantress is so gorgeous, as you would expect from Deviance. And there are SO many options to this lovely outfit, I simply couldn't photograph them all. The skirt and collar have 4 different options each and you know how much I love options with my clothing. I'm wearing the skirt with both the skulls and beads, and in the first photo I'm wearing the cape with the collar and long cape, and as you can see in the second photo, I'm wearing the shorter cape with no collar. And the included staff is just awesome. I feel like I want to cast a spell on everyone around me! The shape I'm wearing is included in the package, too! Normally I don't wear other shapes, preferring to fit outfits to my shape, but I really liked this one. It's taller and bigger than my normal shape, but didn't make me feel like a glamazon, which is always a good thing.

I'm wearing the Enchantress in Midnight Blue in my pictures, but there are 15 beautiful colors available. A single outfit is $400L, a minipack of 3 colors is $800L, and you can multipack all 15 colors for $1800L. I think you'll agree with me that getting the big pack is truly the way to go with this, especially if you get a lot of use out of this type of outfit!

If you are a Deviance subscriber, you can get a special group gift - the Enchantress in teal! Why are you still reading? Go shopping!

Zaara yummies!

Oh, Zaara. How you tempt me. The newest line of lingerie, the Trikaya, makes me so so happy. I love gorgeous, ladylike lingerie and this fits the bill!

Review - Zaara - Trikaya, Ebony

Review - Zaara - Trikaya, Carmine

The high-waisted knickers are precious. It really makes your curves stand out! And if you look at the behind, it's high cut enough to let your tush show, but done in a way that is both sexy and modest. Plus, the sheer panel on the back shows just enough, but also leaves a little to the imagination. The bra is very well done. Simple, but with a little detail and the "double" straps on front. So cute!

The Trikaya comes in 6 colors for $225L each, or fatpack the Classic set or Jewels set [I'm wearing the Carmine and the Ebony from the Classic set, and there is one more color in that set] for $450L each set.

Get to Zaara - because you need undies! Oh, and men? There's some cute boxers out there for you, too!

Let me take the stage...

Do you love boots? Oh, I just bet you do! I do too, and honey, let me tell you - I am wearing the most marvelous lace up boots on my feet today!

The new Burlesque boots from Gos are just delicious! Knee high, lace up, sculpted beautifully over your calves... Take a look!

Review - Gos - Burlesque

Are you in love yet? No? Well, let me sweeten the deal for you with these sweet boots. They are loaded with options! You won't have to worry about a fatpack with these yummies, because they are color-changeable with 6 fabulous colors! You can change the satin of the boot, and the laces as well. So many options to match with your outfits! I just love the colors!

Review - Gos - Burlesque, all colors

For those of you who like playing in 2.0, these are 2.0 friendly with the invisible alpha layer so that you don't have to worry about invisiprims! I love that! But if you are not using 2.0, there are invisiprims, so these boots attach to your lower leg. These are also very easy to fit with the menu system to make the boots smaller or wider, and to move them back and forth or side to side. That's always a nice option for people who are not quite comfortable with the system modify tools. And if you're really really not good at fitting prims to your shape, there is a special posestand available and - get this - your friends can mod the boots FOR YOU. If you don't have friends (just kidding!), I understand that there will be staff at the Gos store to help you out. Be sure to read the notecard if you get confused with it, although if you're familiar with most resizer scripts, you will most likely not have too much trouble with this. And once they are fit, if you don't like extra scripts, there is an Anti-Lag button which removes the scripts. But remember, that removes ALL the scripts, so be sure to make a backup copy of your boots first!

The Burlesque Boots are an extremely affordable $895L. With all the color change options, that's really like getting 36 pairs of boots! Where else are you going to get that many boots that look this good for that price? Only at Gos!

Get me to the chapel on time!

I just adore weddings. Around 7 or 8 years ago, I was a bridesmaid 3 times in just slightly over a year in my physical world, and I never never got tired of discussing weddings! Which, you know, is probably a good thing since I was in so many! I've never had the opportunity to be a bride in either life, but with this new gorgeous wedding dress from Nymphetamine, I can at least pretend!

The Vivy wedding gown is just elegant and stunning. It's also not very frilly, which I know so many brides appreciate.

Review - Nymphetamine - Vivy, front

Review - Nymphetamine - Vivy, back

The gown is strapless, with a simple chest ruffle. There is a plain sash and then the lovely ballgown style skirt. The gown also comes with the option of wearing the veil or just flowers in your hair. I modded this veil easily to go with my hairstyle. Also, Paeoti told me this, but she uses the Emerald viewer with the extra attachment points for these items. So if you do not, you will need to manually attach the veil or flowers to an open spot on your head.

There is something that's just a little better than the wedding - The honeymoon! And won't your partner just LOVE seeing you out of your beautiful gown and into this oh-so-pretty babydoll lingerie?

Review - Nymphetamine - Vivy babydoll

You can also take off the babydoll part and just wear the teddy underneath. You guys know I do so love options!

The Vivy wedding gown is $1000L for the set of the gown & the lingerie, including the veil and hair flower. You can also purchase the gown, veil & flower for $850L, or the lingerie, veil & flower for $350L. The dress and lingerie also comes in 9 other colors, minus the veil & flower, for $750L each. They are available now at the Nymphetamine mainstore, so get out there and shop!

I feel like a movie star!

Quick! Name three of my favorite things! Who said lingerie, jewelry, and old black & white movies? You win!

When Kieran Debevec of Phoenix Rising dropped this utterly amazing jewelry on me and Betty Doyle of Ingenue quickly followed with the most lovely corset sets, I knew immediately that they had to be shown together. There was just no other way!

First, let's look at the oh-so-pretty Angelique corset.

Review - Phoenix Rising, Ingenue - Angelique corset, Spring Blossom jewelry

Review - Phoenix Rising, Ingenue - Angelique corset, back

As much as I love lingerie, I love lingerie that doesn't give the whole farm away immediately even more, and honey, this is wonderful! The very well textured corset just hugs you in all the right places and I love the lacing in the back. Plus I just adore that the included panties are not thongs! Hey, people like opening gift wrapped presents for a reason, right? ;)

Now, let's take a look at the precious Spring Blossom jewelry!

Review - Phoenix Rising, Ingenue - Spring Blossom jewelry

How can you look at it and not want it? I know I surely can't! Every prim is placed JUST right, and there is the slightest glow on the diamonds to give it a gorgeous effect. I'm so enchanted with the necklace! And of course you have the beautiful flowers for your ears, too! Honestly? With this jewelry, you barely need clothes! I haven't been this excited about jewelry in a long long time!

The Angelique corsets come in 10 lovely colors for $165L each, or fatpack these beauties for $1295L. They are available now at Ingenue!

The Spring Blossom jewelry comes in 5 beautiful colors [my favorite is the Rain color!] for $400L each, or fatpack for $1800L. They are available now at Phoenix Rising!

Happy Friday and Happy Shopping!

I'm way too comfortable in this chair!

You may know the store Baustein by Mainit Hellman for its wonderful prefabs. But did you also know that Mainit makes furniture? Really awesome furniture that you just wish you could yank out of SL and drag into your own living room!

The latest set, the De'Loire, is just fantastic!

Review - Baustein - De'Loire set

Review - Baustein - De'Loire chair

This set is just delish. It comes with the fireplace, painting, table, ottoman with texture change blanket, and 2 chairs, one with the filigree detailing and one without. The chairs and ottoman are also color change! [Monopoly board & chips plate are not included, just used for this shot.] Look at the chairs! If I had these chairs in my physical world, I don't think I'd ever get up. They look so so comfortable! And of course, the baked textures are just yummy.

The De'Loire set is prim budget friendly at just 67 prims for the entire set. It is also copy/modify, which is awesome. The set is $1200L, but you can buy the pieces separately, although of course you get a bit of a discount with buying the entire set.

Oh, and you can pick up the skybox that I took these photos in at Baustein as well. It's called Chill and I adore it!

Lots of stuff to see at Baustein, and there's a big grand sim opening party on Sunday at 12pm SLT at the Rigby sim for Baustein, SySy's, Staged, and Perse, so you have no excuses not to go check it out!

Ms. Green Jeans

St. Patrick's Day is coming up this week, and so I'm sure we're going to be seeing a lot of green going on! [Which I'm sure makes one Queen of Green I know very happy!]

Designer Dick Wiesel of WoE put out a special set just for us ladies for this week - A green version of his Graecyn jeans and new Striped sweaters!

Review - WoE - St. Patrick's Special

Review - WoE - St. Patrick's Special, back

There are actually two sweaters in the box, the shorter sleeved one that I'm wearing, and a long sleeved version. I think the set is adorable, and I just love the nice shamrock on the back of the sweater!

The best part? The set is only $20L. Yay!

While you're at WoE picking this up, be sure to look around because I just know you'll find more that you like!

I have this Intuition...

...but I think these glasses are going to be the new favorite in many peoples' inventory!

New at the Accessories Fair, Gospel Voom of Gos released the new glasses, Intuition and Sentinel. So so cute! I ran right out and bought the Intuition, as they were a touch more "feminine" on my face. Check them out!

The glasses have loads of options, such as frame texture, lens texture, opacity, and my favorite - the monogram on the sides!! When you choose to set the monogram, it immediately picks up your initials, but you can set them to another. I love it! And you can choose from several different fonts and colors, too.

The glasses come with the textures white, black, and chrome for the frames, and clear, shaded, and "incognito" [very dark], for the lenses. In my package, there was a spray can to hold to "spray" my glasses into tortoiseshell with an amber shade. It's all just very cool!

The Intuition glasses are a very affordable $295L and currently you can find them at the Accessories Fair, but I'm sure they'll be at the mainstore quite soon!

Do I Dare? Absolutely!

When Gospel Voom first made the very awesome Dare booties in black, I did like them, but I didn't think that they were QUITE me. However, when he mentioned on Plurk that he just released them in BROWN...well, I hopped right over to Gos buy a pair!

Review - Gos - Dare booties in brown

Review - Gos - Dare booties closeup

I just love them! And the toes...just adorable! Plus they were very easy to tint with the helpful HUD and the list of corresponding presets for several of the more popular skins in SL. The shoes themselves are also very customizable, with menu options to change the color of the shoes to three different shades of brown, detailed or smooth leather, the color of the zips, studs, arches, and heels. And of course you can wear them with the toes peeking out or with a closed toe. So wonderful!

You can pick up your Dare booties for $975L, and remember, they come in black and red, as well! Get over to Gos!

Here fishie, fishie, fishie...

I love the Pocket Gardens by Stormy Aluveaux and Carter Denja. Anytime I need an instant garden [because I'm horrible at landscaping!], I pull mine out and boom! Insta-pretty! I was super happy to see the new Castalia Basin with Koi, because who doesn't need some cute fish in their life??

Review - Pocket Gardens - Castalia Basin with Koi, small

Review - Pocket Gardens - Castalia Basin with Koi, large

Review - Pocket Gardens - Castalia Basin with Koi, both

The basins go really well with the Castalia prefab gardens. Both basins come with color change scripts for the basin itself, and for the roses attached. The fish are so cute and swim in circles. There are even sits on each basin [as shown in the top picture] and one of the best parts? Low prim! The small basin is 7 prims and the large is 10 prims. These are GREAT if you're in one of the new Linden homes!

These are very affordable, too! The small basin is $125L and the large is $175L. Or get a little discount and get both for $250L! They are copyable, so you can put fish out everywhere!

Go pick up your new koi at Pocket Gardens today!

I could be your Ingenue

Like a lot of bloggers, sometimes I stumble onto review packs in my inventory that I never had the chance to open for one reason or another. [Um, the main reason being that my inventory is a huge mess.] I was digging around for something and ran into a pack of the Japonica dresses from Ingenue. Oh, am I ever glad I did!!

Review - Ingenue - Japonica

This dress is just so classy and ladylike! I am a fan of well done system skirts and this one certainly fits the bill. What's a little shape modding between friends, right? And I made friends with this dress quickly! My favorite part, of course, is the awesome oversized flower on the belt. Love love love.

The Japonica dresses are a very affordable $250L each, and come in 4 colors. I didn't see a fatpack option, but I may have missed it. Ingenue wasn't a store I was very familiar with in the past, but believe me, I will definitely be heading back!

Today's Gaze - A spring in my step

I am totally a warm weather girl. All this snow and cold dreary days doesn't make for me feeling much like blogging, I'll tell ya that much! But when I saw these adorable new Spring.Bloom dresses from fri.day, well...I immediately felt much more springy and happy!

Today's Gaze - Springtime, close, front

Today's Gaze - Springtime, back

The dresses are super cute, and make your legs look 10 miles long, which of course I totally love. I'm wearing this one in Teacup, but there are 6 colors available, with cute little names like Bouquet and Bonnet. The skirt IS sculpted [I know some of you just hated sculpted skirts!], but it made allowances for even my most fidgety AO, and of course there is a demo available, so you can try it before you buy it. I wish more stores would do that!!

Each Spring.Bloom dress is $200L, or the 24.7 pack for $840L.

I paired the dress up with my favorite Wedge Tong sandals in Poppy from G Field and some gold bracelets from the Mora set by alaMood. I was never a big gold wearer before SL, but it's starting to grow on me!

I hope you find the outfit that puts a Spring in your step, too!

J'aime le papillon!

Anyone who knows me knows I have a tremendous love for butterflies. I can't explain it, I just do! So these new Papillon dresses from SySy's are right up my alley!

Review - SySy's - Papillon

Review - SySy's - Papillon, back

Isn't this dress just so so sweet? And with the small butterflies on the skirt, it is something that will pop out of my inventory time and time again. I also just adore the sleeves! I am a sucker for sweet, ladylike dresses and this definitely fits the bill.

Papillon comes in 5 colors [brownie, emerald, lavender, orange, and fuschia, which I am wearing] and is available for $250L for a single color, or $950L for the fatpack, which comes with a red version as well. Also right now if you're in the SySy's SoM, you can get the free Valentine's edition of this dress.

Head over the mainstore to pick up this dress, and be sure to check out the new satellite location at the brand new and super awesome Second Style sim!
