Oh, sweet Alyson!

If it hasn't been noticeable from all the shrieks and squeals from around the grid, Tricky Boucher of Belleza released his newest female skin, Alyson! I've been seeing this skin on many of my friends [thanks to a generous group gift!] and I have to say, I have not seen a skin released in a while that makes almost everyone look so so adorable!

The skin has just some marvelous shading, and yes, even a cleavage enhancing option!

Review - Belleza - Alyson, back

Just look at it! The shoulder blades are perfect, as is the collarbone area. The tummy shading is beautiful, and although I'll never be naked in this blog, believe me when I say that everything is wonderful on the skin.

Now for the important part - the face!

Review - Belleza - Alyson, face

Alyson does make me look a little bit younger than I usually like to appear, but with 16 of the sweetest makeups ever, I don't mind one tiny bit! I'm wearing makeups 15 and 11 in this picture, and in the pale tone.

The only only thing that I do not really like about this skin is the fact that it is freckled. I'm simply not a freckle kind of girl, and if it were not for the freckles, I'm pretty sure Alyson would become my primary skin. I would also love to see a lighter, or more brunette, brow option. Although this is wonderful for the redheads out there, it tends to look a little "off" on someone like me who is normally a platinum blonde.

The Alyson skins come in 5 different skin tones [pale, medium, sunkiss, tan and deep tan] and are $1200L each. You can also buy a line of 4 makeups for $2500L, or the megapack of all 16 makeups for $7000L. Each pack contains a regular skin, one with a dark hair base, one with the cleavage enhancer, and one with the cleavage enhancer and the hair base. A heck of a deal, at any price!

Today's Gaze - Casual Girl

I've been in a bit of a fashion funk lately. In fact, I went almost 3 days without changing clothes at all. Unheard of!! [I blame most of this on my recent love affair with Dragon Age: Origins.] But today I put together a very casual look that has just enough "oomph" that if for some reason I go another 2 days without changing, it won't be too terribly bad.

I'm going to not describe everything like usual just because I'm really tired, but I did want to say that my poses are a new release from ImpEle and a fatpack is only $350L, which is a fabulous price for 12 poses that are pretty much PERFECT for fashion blogging. Also, the cabinet I'm sitting on is a dollarbie from JE Republic, and it has 2 poses on it. Very cute if you like sitting on furniture!

Hey, who broke my window?

It's kind of a running joke that I have a skybox addiction. Well, skyboxes, houses, any kind of prefab, really. Luckily for me, I know some pretty good builders and once in a while they'll drop prefabs that they've built on me, just to get my opinion. [Um, drop them in my inventory, I should say. Not drop them ON me. I'm not the Wicked Witch of the East or anything. I don't even live in the east.]

Today my friend Magen Jigsaw of EmJay surprised me with a new skybox! Magen usually does clothing, but she's branching out into prefabs, and with this first build, I can say that I'm happy she is! Check out some pictures of her new Shabby Chic skybox.

I'm not usually a huge fan of the distressed texture look, but I'm really loving this. It's wide, open, and there are lots of ways you can decorate up this box! My favorite thing, and this is something that I LOVE when prefab creators do, is that you could use this skybox down on the ground as well. It makes it more than just a skybox, it makes it a home.

The Shabby Chic is 75 prim and $300L. If you're a prefab addict like me, you need to head over to EmJay and pick this up!

I feel like making Mischief!

Although there are a lot of great designers that come out in SL frequently, I have a deep loyal love for the older established brands. Mischief designer Janie Marlowe has been creating in Second Life since 2004, and not only does she always come out with just some really cute clothing, but she keeps it fresh and updated! Yesterday when I got the notice for one of her new releases, Leather & Lace, I don't think even 3 minutes passed between me getting the notice and me ending up on the front steps of the store. I have a weakness for cute, short party dresses right now, and this fit the bill perfectly!

Review - Mischief - Leather & Lace

Short, black, and oh so sexy, you can doll this baby up in a number of ways. I chose to keep it a bit classy with heels and silver jewelry, but you could put on some hot boots and tattoos and toughen it up. The dress has the options for having the fluffy lace on the chest or not, so you could have a sleeker look.

Leather & Lace is a steal at $215L, and I believe it only comes in black.

Now I feel like going to cause some Mischief in my new dress!

Today's Gaze - Remember that girl?

Did you ever know that girl? She was the one who always looked just a little more put together than the others, but never like she was trying to be that way. She was the one who listened to bands you'd never heard of and almost always had her nose in a book. She was the girl that made the other girls feel just a little less special and made the guys think she was probably out of their league. Did you know her? Were you her?

When I was putting together an outfit, that girl came to mind. I was never her, and I'll probably never be her, but this outfit makes me feel like maybe I can fake it. :)

I Love Lucy, and SySy too!

I love Lucy! I mean, I love these brand new sweaters named Lucy from the adorable SySy Chapman! Look how cute!

The sweaters themselves are very simple, but what sets these cuties apart is the very pretty waist sash and matching scarf! The print of the sash is actually on the sweater itself as well, so the prim part fits over it very very well.

The Lucy sweaters come in 5 colors and you can pick them up for $150L each, or fatpack it for $525L. With sweaters this adorable, you should fatpack! Just a suggestion, of course. :)

Be sure to check out all the other yummy goodies at SySy's when you go to pick these up!

Ladies can play Hopscotch!

Happy New Year everyone! I hope you had a fabulous holiday!

I've often cried over the lack of sweet, ladylike dresses that are not formals in my inventory. There are days where you just want to be pretty, but not look like you're about to attend a ball. So I was delighted when designer Chandni Khondji of Hopscotch put out these adorable Lilith dresses!

A very proper ladylike dress, the tea length skirt swirls and twirls just beautifully! [Due to the angle of the photos, the skirt appears slightly longer than it is.] The sheer overlay is lacy without being overpowering, and matches the delicate lace of the gloves, collar, and sweet little earrings. I really just adore these dresses!

I'm wearing the dresses in black, red, and blue, but there are also green and purple available. Each Lilith dress is $295L and the fatpack is just $1200L. Hop over to Hopscotch and get yours today!
