Entente Is Coming!

So as you may have heard, a new store is opening! Entente joins the ranks of other fabulous stores with collaborating designers. We may not know WHO is exactly behind this brand, but I can honestly say as long as they put out great items, I kind of don't care who they are! Entente is more menswear focused [at the moment, from my understanding] but there's definitely things for girls too!

I was super super lucky to score an invite to the preview day, and I really like a lot of what I saw! Some was mesh, some was not, so there's a great mix of things. And I don't even mind that there was so much for men, because I love for guys to have new and great clothes just like we do!

Pretty Little Liar

Do you want to know a secret? I'm in a fashion funk. :( I know, it's awful! I am not exactly sure what to do to pull myself out of it, so suggestions would be totally helpful! Today I took half a page from my favorite Pretty Little Liar Aria Montgomery and put together something I thought she would probably wear. Aria's style is usually dark, with a good mix of edgy and feminine touches. And she wears a lot of socks. I don't want to be the one to tell her that socks aren't pants, though, because she's little and it's cute.

I certainly hope "A" doesn't send me a text for trying to be like Aria.

A Little Fall of Rain

Oh my word, it is good to be back!! I came down with a nasty bug last week and my reaction to some meds was bad bad bad! So while I was laid up in bed away from my computer, I was just crazed to get back because it was opening weekend for Collabor88!!

This month at Collabor88 you can pick up the wonderful Minna blouse, Heron skirt, and Heron parasol by The Sea Hole! I really don't know what I like more! But I'll tell you, I have been a SUCKER for a parasol since I was a kid. Seriously! Ask my mom how many little lacy parasols I had for just no reason. The theme this month is Culture Fusion for Collabor88, and the colors and prints of these items just scream it. Love!

While I was gone, Mr. Truth released what might be my most favorite hair of his EVER. The Leesa hair is this big poofy messy bun right on top of the head and oh, I am so in LOVE. And Adam n Eve released the new Harper skin that I really think should have been called Alicia, it's so very much MY face!

Coming home is sweet, but coming home to such amazing new stuff is even better!

Just Strut

Sometimes after a particularly lovely night, you can't help but just throw on some heels and a shirt and strut out to the kitchen for a drink.

Now as you know, I'm not one to show off a ton of skin, but the Soft Resolution shirt from Kyoot for Stumblebum is just too pretty to be overwhelmed with much else! The shirt comes with the matching socks, and in four soft colors.

If you're not in the Hucci subscriber group, you should get in on it because we're often treated with a wonderful gift. Today we received a pair of the new mesh D'Ann pumps! If you're doing Luna's color challenge, week 2 is coral, so these pumps are absolutely perfect! I even tinted my hairband to match!

I think it's time to go kick off my heels and relax!

Happy New Bum!

Stumblebum is BACK, baby! This biweekly event made up of some of the grid's best designers has always been one of my favorites in SL. And they certainly got it started off right this time around!

From Illusory, we have the New Year dress. It's a stunning little sparkly mini dress, perfect for parties! My pose is from Frooti, and I can honestly say the poses are just as fun as the store name! Truth has brought us the Velvet hair, which is so flippin' cute and a style I have simply been DYING for!! I'm not wearing them, but there are 2 little color change bows on the curly poofy buns. Oh, you want to see things closer? Okay!

Love this hair so hard!! Also in Stumblebum are these super pretty Real Eyes from Insufferable Dastard. And I absolutely cannot have a post without mesh, so luckily for me Aura has these fab Down Pour earrings!

This round of Stumblebum lasts 2 weeks and all items from the designers are NEW, not recolored previous releases. The prices are a little lower for Stumblebum, but remember it's not a "get your cheap on" type of event. All Stumblebum prices are between 100L-700L. But honestly, they are great prices for great new work, so go get shopping!

Someday, Somewhere

Last month I was away from SL for about a week while my daddy recuperated from another surgery, and I had my husband collecting things for me. Of course, when I got back, I was too tired to go back and look at everything, so imagine my squeal of surprise and happiness when I discovered this gorgeous Ingenue dress just waiting patiently in my inventory!!

I believe the Ava dress came out for the Vintage Fair, and you can see that it is completely vintage inspired. The tight fitted waist, the sweet little peplum, and the slim skirt that Ingenue does so so well are all completely fantastic. You can't see it in the picture, but the back dips down a bit in a V shape and there is a zipper. It's just so so classy! Parts of the dress are mesh, so if you can't see mesh yet... well, sucks to be you, I guess.

Oh! And Nardcotix is having a big End Of The Year sale! 70% off the whole store! You can pick up these lovely strappy Edith heels for a SONG! I find the feet in these shoes to be cute and soooo easy to tint! Especially for me because one of the presets in the HUD matches my skin perfectly!

I think I need to go do a little more shopping!

A Date With Santa

Since 2008, I've been having a winter guest on my island. Of COURSE I'm talking about Santa! He swings by after the first snowfall [something about the North Pole simply being crazy around December] and he hangs out until Christmas Eve. Since that is tomorrow and at some point during the day he'll be taking off, tonight is our special date night. And lucky for me, G Field sent the most beautiful winter gift!

If you're in the subscriber group, then you should have received the very pretty 2011 Holiday dress & necklace today. As with everything G Field makes, it's gorgeous! G Field remains on my top 10 list of stores that I love and I don't see that changing any time soon.

This'll be my last post until after Christmas, so Merry Christmas, everyone!! Or Happy Hanukkah! Or just Happy Holidays! ♥

I'm in love with the Glee & Showtunes stations on Pandora lately, so I'm sorry if my next 20 posts have the title of some Broadway musical song. But this is a good one, because with all the fabulous things that are out lately, something IS there for everyone!

Collabor88 is still going strong this month and if you haven't been by yet, you neeeeed to go! You can pick up great things, like the Killiney boots from FIR & MNA. I just love these! There is a pair for men as well, and these are MESH boots.

Speaking of Collabor88, there is a lot of good furniture out there this time around, like the Deetz Fireplace set from Cheeky Pea and the Patchwork & Pipes bed from Kari. I love that the curtains and rug from the Soft Exposure living room set from Barnesworth Anubis that we found at last month's Collabor88 work perfectly! I am also totally in love with The Snowy Cabin artwork on the wall from Funky Junk. The snow really falls! You can find it at the Funky Junk mainstore location, or at The Nest. It's no copy, so great for transferring for gifts!

And hello? Do you see my hair? It's a new MESH hair from Wasabi Pills called Cherry. It's so thick and lush and it's nice that it doesn't dig into my chest. You can't see it here, but in the back, there's a low ponytail. I wish I had this much thick hair in RL!

Each designer has picked another creator to be their date to accompany them this month, so that means DOUBLE the things for you to buy!

This is a MESH skybox, so perfect for photos or if you're into living in a different sort of setting than a traditional house. You can't tell in the photo, but there is snow actually falling behind the windows! I just adore it so much! The skybox is mod/copy and 91 prims.

The Air of December

Mmm...do you hear that? No, it's not the sound of Santa's sleigh bells. It's the sound of more new mesh things! And new hair!

Adam n Eve are getting into the mesh clothing game and have brought us this super cute Rhia dress! A cute tartan minidress, it is sleeveless and has a crisp white collar. The dress style is simple, which I LOVE because it means I can dress it up and down in many ways! Although AnE do not do Standard Sizing, I find that the fit of the AnE M size is almost exactly like the Standard Sizing M, if that gives you any indication of how the sizing goes, and there are 5 sizes included so you can get the best fit.

I woke up today to people squealing over the new Quirky hair at Elikatira and I rushed right over to demo. It was like a plurk party when I got there! But with good reason, because this loose braided pigtailed hair is just too cute. I did stretch mine to be bigger, though, since my head is weirdly shaped and I found it to be a little too close to my head.

Time to shop!

Once Upon A December

We recently set up our winter park on the island, and I'm so happy with it, I want to be outside all the time! Luckily for me, there are warm things to wear because I just can't be out in the snow without proper clothing!

I happened upon new-to-me store Severed Garden last night while browsing marketplace. I hopped on over to the mainstore and fell in LOVE with the Dana boots and the Priska hat and hair! These are no modify items, which I know might turn some of you off, but there are convenient little HUDs to change the colors of your boots and socks, hat and hair. My only real complaint is that I would like to be able to resize the boots separate of the socks, but I managed to make them fit and they are fairly inexpensive, so it all works out!

Pose store STaTus is participating in the Royal Living Magazine Snowman Hunt and fitting to the title, they've put out this cute Snowman Lover. There are 10 poses in the snowman, and who doesn't love poses and snowmen, am I right? This is a PAY hunt, and each hunt item costs $45L. But I'm sure multiple blogs will have all the items, so you can pick and choose what you want.

I'm off to play in the snow some more!

Rockin Around The Christmas Tree

Now that it's after Thanksgiving, it's time to start decorating for Christmas!! And I started by decorating my feet with these awesome new boots from Gos!

The new Aviator Amelia boots are so very very perfect for the upcoming winter months! As you would expect from Gos, the boots are amazingly sculpted and the texturing is fantastic. There are 5 colors of boot, and with a single purchase you get 5 colors of socks. But if you fatpack them [and why wouldn't you?], then you get 16 sock colors! You can also choose to hide the socks if you prefer. The boots also are scripted to have a Loose or Tight fit, as shown below.

The New Convert

My husband, Aldwyn, isn't as much of a clothes horse as I am. He likes shopping [that's why I married him!] but he never quite finds anything he really gets excited to buy as far as clothing goes. When I started wearing mesh, I have a feeling he thought I was crazy nuts. In fact, I had to stomp around a bit to even get him to use a mesh viewer so he could see me in my fabulousness. But we took a little trip tonight to Hoorenbeek, and well...

Welcome to the mesh club, baby!

He really got happy for the new Classic Jeans and so did I because, WOW! They look so GOOD on him! He didn't have to change his shape even one point! The jeans come with 8 styles of belts, too! He paired them up with Corduroy Jacket that comes with the mesh shirt. There are 3 colors of shirts with the jacket, so that's awesome! Both the jacket and the jeans come in 3 sizes, and the jeans have both low and high rises.

With my new mesh Cairo boots and mesh Lyn Cardigan from Celoe, we're a mesh-tastic couple!

Born To Make You Happy

I think we all know by now that I love mesh clothing, am I right? But what I love more than mesh clothing is my wonderful husband! We had our two month anniversary on the 18th but didn't really get to do anything because of our schedules. Last night he made it up to me by taking me on a little shopping spree at Celoe!

As I mentioned a couple of posts ago, Celoe comes to us from the super talented LeLutka team and they've come bringing us all kinds of mesh wonderfulness! [They're in a temporary location at the moment, so I'll update this whenever they move to the real store.] I went super nuts for the new Lolong Trousers when I demoed them. These are definitely "Get your heels on, girlfriend!" pants, especially if you're short like me! But the way they sit JUST perfectly on the hips? I couldn't stop staring! The Lyn Cardigan was something that both of us knew I just had to have. It's SO very me and SO very beautiful! The Gea Top turtleneck ties everything nicely together and I adore the perfectly slouchy neck on it.

Celoe is one of those "I need all the things!" types of stores for me, and I hope you like it as much as I do!! Remember that you'll need a MESH enabled viewer to see all the fabulous clothes! Oh, and happy anniversary, baby! ♥

Welcome To Mystery

Do you have that place in SL that you can't help but travel back to again and again when you want to take a photo but you don't feel like creating a set or standing in front of a blank prim? XIV is that place for me. When I go there, I feel like I've gone on the other side of the looking glass. I wasn't sure where to take a picture in my outfit today, so I headed on over to find just the right spot!

I woke up to a notice that G Field had some new Leg Warmers! For heels! Oh they are just so cute, I can hardly stand it! Although I have many G Field shoes, I had to pick up the Alex pumps to wear with them, just to make SURE they fit properly. And they do!

I got the leg warmers and shoes in grey because I knew today I'd be wearing the Suede Mesh Mini from Stellar today. If you pick it up from the Marketplace, it's only $55L!! Heck of a deal, folks. But be sure you get the demo first before buying, just to make sure you can fit or that you can mod your shape the way you want to make it fit. I find that it's a little more slim on me [even the size 2] than some things I've bought in mesh, but 1, I don't mind modding my shape to get things to fit the way I want, and 2, I still think I look pretty bootylicious in it!

Indian Summer

I wrote this really awesome post, but ended up losing it. I don't feel like re-typing it all out again. I'm sorry!

The awesome LeLutka team is gearing up to bring us new MESH goodness! Celoe is coming soon, and if you join their in world group now, you can get this cute little Chelsea dress as a gift! Celoe will be bringing us great mesh clothes, shoes and accessories very soon, so if you're not in a mesh viewer yet, I'm terribly sorry that you'll be seeing me in loads of mesh soon. Celoe, along with Mon Tissu, SLink, and Lelutka, have come up with a Standard Sizing package so that if you wear one size in one brand, you'll fit into the same size in another brand. I think that this will make wearing mesh a lot easier, especially if other brands will work with these sizes, too. Now don't think you'll be cookie cutter, either. I wear a size M, but there are some friends of mine who are in a size S and yet they are more curvy than I am. There's really a lot of room to work with! Well, unless you're very large. But sizes for XL and XXL are in the works, I've heard!

This dress was the perfect simple outfit to pair with my Fanciers Best Necklace and Earrings from Undefined Lilies! I picked these up at the Vintage Fair and have been waiting for a chance to break them out. Sooo very classy and pretty. Love love love!

Two style posts in one day? What the heck has come over me?? But c'mon... Vintage Fair is SO GOOD, I can't help but want to show off the goodies! Plus? It's Truth hair day!

I think all of us know by now that Nena Janus of League is exceptionally talented. But what she put out for the Vintage Fair...WOW! The Vintage Lace Cardigan and the Vintage Full Lace Skirt are probably two of my most favorite finds in SL EVER! I naturally gravitate to anything lacy and pretty, so these had my name written alllll over them.

And I don't have to tell you guys how much I adore Truth, both the hair and the person, do I? His new Faith hair is almost vintage like, reminding me of a style that Veronica Lake or Rita Hayworth would have favored. The thick spill of waves over the shoulder and the sweet little flippy curl on the bangs...love!

Mmmm...more Vintage Fair goodies! I've been setting up Funky Junk's new Pasadena house that is out at the Vintage Fair for the past couple of days. It's all kinds of retro love! With Nana's TV Room Set from Hanaya, also at the Vintage Fair, it just makes you step back in time!

I was very excited to see Reale out at the Vintage Fair this year, especially with this adorable Soda dress! The skirt is a mix of sculpts and flexi, so you get nice movement, and the whole thing is really very figure flattering with the waistband and bow that hit in just the right spots.

If you haven't made it out to the Vintage Fair yet, be prepared for some lag, of course, but also be prepared to spend spend spend!! Oh! And I'll be out there tomorrow [Sunday the 13th] DJing a Sock Hop from 7pm-9pm SLT! I hope to see you guys out there for some great old music and lots of fun!

Oh, it is so good to be home! I have been itching to get back to my blog! [I know, I know, that sounds lame.] But with Collabor88 starting, and Vintage Fair coming, can you blame me? I'm amazed at the items the creators have put out for both events. It's a bad month for your wallets, but OH...such a good month for getting tons of pretty new things! This outfit reminded me, a little bit, of Natalie Wood when she played Deanie Loomis in the movie "Splendor In The Grass." Ever seen it? You should. It's fab!

At the Vintage Fair, I found this beautiful Chiffon Calais dress from new-to-me store Lisa L. I'm a total sucker for lace, so I just had to snatch it right up!

The new Vintage skin from Curio is so sweet and old fashioned! With the added tattoo pencil brows, you feel like you stepped right back in time. It's perfect with the new Soft hair from Elikatira for Collabor88 this month!

I Guess That's Why They Call It The Blues

I'm supposed to be packing, but I'm procrastinating. No, I'm not going anywhere fun. My dad's having another surgery and I'll be staying over with my parents for a few days while he recovers just to help out. But I guess I can pretend it's a vacation? I'm a little blue about it, so putting together a blue outfit just seemed totally right.

For Fifty Linden Friday this week, Ingenue has these great new Collette skirts. They are mesh skirts, but you don't have to worry about the fit because the skirt part is like a normal prim crotch flap, but being that it's mesh, it moves with your body and blends in with the rest of the skirt. Love love love! There are 2 colors for FLF this week, and I'm so very happy she put it out early so I could get it!!

Collabor88 for November starts on the 8th and The Sea Hole is putting out some really cute items, like this pretty little Corsage ring, bracelet, and nail polish set. I can't wait for the whole collection!

The dryer just went off so I guess it's back to packing. I'll see you guys next week!

Halloween Comfort

I don't know what it is about Halloween. Everything seems just slightly more creepy even if it's nothing big. I'm not passing out candy this year, so I'm just in some comfy clothes getting ready to ...wait. What was that noise??

I'm Never Without My Phone

Yeah, I'm that girl. The one who is never more than a couple of feet away from her phone, the one who keeps it by her pillow, the one who freaks out if she runs to grab take out and forgot her phone at home. I'm always on call for my parents, and even turning the ringer off to go out and enjoy a movie isn't something I feel comfortable with. Heck, I even take it with me when I go outside to get the mail.

When I saw the Fall sweater from Ducknipple, I knew it was for me! With the little iPhone in the pocket, it's just perfect! If you click it, it will disappear, and no, there doesn't appear to be an Android version. :-p The sweater comes with the necklace I'm wearing, and also 8 different colored undershirts [not shown here]. The belt also changes color.

By the way, if the Ducknipple creator reads this: Could you please put the name of the store on your folders? I love love love the store but I always lose items in my inventory because the store name isn't on the folder. Thanks!

Let's Take A Walk

The weather here has been awesome lately, and it makes me want to go on long walks to see what I can see. But mostly I just want to walk around in my new Portas Booties!!

From AnE Meshworks, an Adam n Eve brand, these little booties are short, cute, and in the most soft lickable leather I've seen in ages! They ARE mesh, so you know the drill. Get a mesh viewer or GTFO. :-p I kid, I kid!! But seriously, you need a mesh viewer to see these boots properly.

Funky Autumn Gatcha At The Nest!

It was one of those days. My body was tired, my brain was fried, and all I really wanted to do was come home and slip into a hot bath for a while to unwind. But you know, the bath wasn't nearly as relaxing as I would have liked. Maybe it's just the season for being spooked, but I had the strangest feeling that someone was watching me...

Do you have a FilterCam from MechanizedLife? If you take photos in SL, you really should have one! I blogged about FilterCam back in 2009 and it still remains one of my favorite gadgets. But it just got even better with the new Expansion Pack! There are 5 new Preset banks for a total of 90 new presets! I'm using the Scopes bank with the Binoculars preset for this photo. If you're not particularly skilled in Photoshop but you are looking to make your photos more fancy, you owe it to yourself to head over to MechanizedLife and pick up the new FilterCam Expansion Pack! Remember, you need the FilterCam to use it, so if you don't have one, get one!!

As for me...I think it's time I invest in some curtains.

I'm not a huge fan of rain, but after this past summer where even the smallest rain shower would have been a blessing, I've come to at least tolerate when the storms roll in. Of course, maybe if I had some cute Wellingtons, like these from Gos, I wouldn't mind running out in the rain!

The new Wellingtons are a MESH item, so you will need a mesh compatible viewer to see them properly. [Honestly, if you're STILL kicking it in a vintage viewer and your only excuse is "I don't want to learn viewer 2," then you're missing out!!] The Wellingtons come in several colors, and if you fatpack, you can make your own color combos like I did here with the pumpkin colored boot and the black trims. I'm wearing the rigged mesh version, meaning it moves with my AO and comes in 3 sizes. The non-rigged versions work as traditional prim boots would and are able to be resized via the menu. If you choose to wear the rigged mesh boots be sure to try on all three sizes to find the best fit before running and yelling at Gospel the way I did. :-p I'm wearing the Tall size. If you're bigger than I am, either shrink yourself or wear the non-rigged ones that you can resize.

I've always been a big reader. I am usually reading anywhere from 2-4 books at any given time, and the bookshelves in my bedroom are double stacked with books. I started reading when I was 3 years old while on vacation with my parents. What was the first word I ever read? "Visa." Figures! You might want to pull out your own Visa cards to go shopping this week - especially if you love Jane AND mesh as much as I do!

I could go on and on about how much I love the new releases. The Cropped Sweaters, the Low Ride Pants, but the best thing for you all to do is just go to Jane try them on for yourselves. Remember that you will need a mesh enabled viewer to see these gorgeous clothes properly. And can I make a plea for people to please start using mesh enabled viewers more? I always feel bad that some people see me with big ugly prims all over my body when they should be seeing my wonderful outfit!

Love On Top

Did you know the Creators Stamp Rally was going on now? I love love love the CSR because not only is it fun to get prizes, but often I get to find new-to-me stores, or get to remember stores that I had forgotten about! If you aren't familiar with the CSR, it's pretty easy. I suggest reading the blog to find out what to do. But just know if you want ALL the prizes, you'll need 20 cards to stamp, and that means buying 20 things. Or if you're lucky, you'll have friends who have extra cards and give them to you. :) I was on a mission for cards last night, so I went to shop!

Niniko is a new-to-me store and particpating in the CSR. I picked up this cute little Chiffon Cutsew top there! I love simple tops to pair with jeans, but the big bow on it gives it that extra little kick to keep it from being too plain.

I hadn't been to Honey Kitty in a while, so I was really happy I stopped by! Look at the aptly named Sweet Sweet Bag! I don't know if I want to use it as a purse, travel with it, or put my lunch in it! The bow is color change and there are several bag colors available. Honey Kitty is also participating in the CSR.

Remember when you're out shopping to get cards that most of the stores only have cards in their newer items. Most of them will have a sign over something saying it has a card in it, but when in doubt, just edit and look in the contents. Of course, things at these stores are so very cute, you probably won't care if you get a card or not!

Oh! I'm starting something new on this blog that I've seen others do by adding the name of the designer next to the store SLurl. Does that make it easier for you all to find things? I try really hard to always look up every SLurl before posting, but I didn't know if you guys care either way. Let me know! :)

This Time I'm Not Leaving Without You

I don't know what it is about boots that just make me want to line dance and drink beer. Even when the boots aren't necessarily western style, I still feel it. Must be the Texas girl in me!

SLink just released new mesh boots! The Astrid ankle boots are just...well, look at them. They're fab! They come in 16 colors, and if you fatpack you are able to mix and match the boot and the strap colors. Now while these boots ARE mesh, they're not rigged and are able to be resized via the HUD. Awesome!

Mesh hair isn't very common yet, and I haven't really had a chance to play with any, so the new Aria mesh hair from Wasabi Pills was fun to wear! It moves quite well in some poses [not all, but that could be said for anything, mesh or sculpty or primmy] and it's just really sweet looking. This hair would probably look better on someone else, though, since my head is weird shaped and I can't wear sleek styles. But it's so pretty, I couldn't help myself! Of course, the main problem with mesh hair is not being able to really edit it. But we're still in the very early days of mesh, so who knows what will happen in the future?

Mad For You

Hello readers! Wow, it was a whirlwind of a week last week getting ready to get married on Sunday! I couldn't believe how busy I was! You know who else was busy? Some of my favorite designers! And lucky for us, they were, because there were some wonderful things released in the past few days.

Mmm...meshy goodness from Raspberry Aristocrat! The new Sweet Tanks and Sweet Pleated Skirts are awesome! I love basics, as you all know, and I can see myself pairing these up with lots of things! If you STILL can't see mesh, you're missing out! I'm wearing the Small size in both of these items, and only had to modify my shape a tiny bit to get things to fit - like dropping my boob gravity down slightly and bringing in my saddlebags a bit. Oh, don't you wish for sliders for your physical body? I know I do!

For those of you who still aren't into mesh, Gos just came out with these amazing Storm Sandals. Oh, I am in LOVE with them! So so so many ways to customize and with the fatpack [and really, why wouldn't you get the fatpack?] you can hit the Random button and get your shoes to surprise you with colors! I told Gospel that was a GREAT feature for someone like me because it meant I would have to make an outfit to match my shoes instead of the other way around. Fun times! Also, the foot is SO incredibly easy to match to your skin [at least it was for me] and I find the toes to be very nice looking. In fact, I'd love to have a bare foot! [Hint hint!]

Tricky Boucher of Belleza just released the new Chloe skin and it's soooo pretty! This is definitely going to become my new "everyday" skin, I can feel it! Lots of makeups to choose from, but if I were you, I'd fatpack it. There is a lighter brow tattoo, but it's not very light, so blondes may want to play around and see how it works. I find that using the light brow tattoo with my blonde hair that has darker roots works a bit better.

And of course it's not a week without new releases from Truth! The new Brandi hair is gorgeous, as you would expect, and comes with some hair flowers! I'm not wearing a flower in this photo, but they are cute! I'm a sucker for accessories for my hair.

Tomorrow is September 8th, and you know what that means! A new edition of Collabor88!! The theme this month is Neons & Neutrals, and one of my favorite stores, Ingenue, put it together beautifully!

The Sedgwick dress is a mod little number that would do Ms. Edie Sedgwick proud. There are also tights that match the dress, but my legs started to look weird to me. I love the colors, though, so I know they'll get used for another outfit! Also to match, the cute cute Bridget flats! I love flat shoes in any life, and I wish I could yank these from my computer and put them on my own feet!

Truly TRULY getting spoiled by mesh boots lately! I will never be able to wear another over the knee boot that is not mesh again!! Check out the new mesh boots from Lassitude & Ennui!

The new Overknee boots are just marvelous! And believe it or not, these babies actually fit me out of the box! You can't see it in the photo, but the boots dip into a V cut in the back. Very hot! I'm wearing them in Snakeskin, and there's a gorgeous Embossed print as well, and several colors to choose from. You know what I love more than these boots? Long established brands in Second Life that don't just rest on their laurels and who keep current with their skills. Lassitude & Ennui, big major kudos to you! I can't wait to see what you come out with next!

That's How I Became Head Girl

So I'll admit, wizarding school wasn't easy! I mean, all those potions to learn and waving a wand around and it would have been dead easy to gain a billion pounds with all the crap we eat. But then I was announced as Head Girl! Gee...I wonder how that happened.

SLink just came out with some new mesh boots!! I have always loved thigh high boots in SL, but I've rarely worn them since either you're stuck with texture boots, or the prims get all crazy when you try to bend your leg. But with mesh...oh baby! These are the first boots that have ever made me want to pose naked with them, and that is saying a LOT because I don't feel comfortable posing naked pretty much anywhere! The boots come in several colors [including pink!!] and there are four sizes to choose from, but be aware that they tend to run a little on the small side. I'm wearing the "Curvy" size and I did have to scale my legs down a bit to wear them, since the "Plus" sized ones, the largest in the pack, were a little TOO plus for my liking. But they're so worth making my legs a little thinner for, because I can't stop strutting around in them!

Sometimes I think I was born in the wrong time period, because I could TOTALLY see myself as some hippie earth mother type. Luckily in SL, I can play out my tambourine dreams with a lovely new dress from Raspberry Aristocrat!

The Heirloom dress is a mesh dress, and no, this blog won't be all mesh all the time, but you have to admit, mesh is REALLY fun to play with!! I really like this dress because of the very pretty halter style bodice. Sexy, without giving away the farm!

And of course, if you're not in a mesh compatible viewer yet, you won't see this lovely dress the way it should be. So switch viewers, and head over to Raspberry Aristocrat to pick this up! Oh, actually, I think it's inside of JANE right now!

Leave It To The Imagination

Back in the late 90s, my Bestie and I used to work at the mall in a department store. We had to dress up using clothing from the store, and she would always pick these long long dresses because she liked to not show too much skin. I always thought she looked great and I was jealous that I couldn't wear the long long dresses because I was short and chubby and what worked on her tall and thin body would not have worked on me. When I saw the new 2nd Skin dresses from Jane today, I immediately thought of my Bestie!

These dresses are mesh, so if you're not in a mesh-compatible viewer yet, you will not see it correctly.

I think these are really pretty! And Jane has already taken other shape sizes into account because now you get to choose from 4 sizes - Petite, Fair, Plump, and Luscious. I'm wearing the Fair size, which is just great for an average sized avatar. One of the cool things about mesh, in my opinion, is that you can kind of play with your "shape" without actually having to do much. When I put on the Luscious sized dress, it's like, hello boob job!! But remember that currently, mesh only works with your avatar's skeleton, not the body fat. [There's a Jira to fix this.] So if you love having a big belly in SL, this dress will not work for you.

That's why I never wore them in RL, anyway. The belly never worked for me!

It should be called flow

I was eager to see who was going to jump onto the mesh clothing train when it was announced that mesh was going live. I was REALLY excited when I saw Jane had new mesh items out!! I love Jane anyway, as we all know, and I'm terribly in love with the new offerings!!

This pretty Sack Dress caught my eye immediately. It's so very cute and it just flows so well!! I was afraid, as many of us were, that mesh clothing was going to be super expensive due to the skill involved, but happily, Janie has kept her prices very very reasonable! Love love love. :)

Now yes, there are a few drawbacks to mesh. You will not be able to edit your clothing [as far as I know, anyway. This dress, you can't edit.] and you have to wear an alpha layer to hide most of your body so that it fits. I'm wearing the "Small" size because the "Large" size gave me a huge chest! But I did have to modify my own shape somewhat to fit into the smaller size properly. There's only so much alpha layers can do. :) You will also need to be on a mesh enabled viewer and mesh enabled sim to see the clothing properly. So I'm sorry to those of you who are still kickin' it old school in a 1.23 viewer. You may find your SL looks a lot weirder in the coming months if you don't jump into a new viewer. From my understanding, the official SL viewers and Kirstens Viewer are the ones that are for mesh at the moment, with Firestorm working to get up to speed as quickly as they can do so.

Please do not worry much, though. Yes, mesh gives us some great things, but there will always ALWAYS be the need for regular prims, textures and sculpties. :)

School starts back here in my area tomorrow. I'm a huge fan of back to school stuff! New clothes, new school supplies, the works! Of course, I'm not in school anymore, but I can still look the part!

I totally fell in love with this little Lace Heart Cropped Top from Emery, out right now at The Dressing Room Blue. And the Lavender hair I picked up from fri.day for Fifty Linden Friday is sooo cute! A "tiny bird" said there's a new hair designer at fri.day, so I guess we can expect more goodies soon! Oh, and I could not resist these mouth pencils from Naminoke that I picked up at the Gacha Festival! I don't usually like things hanging off my mouth, but these are cute and who doesn't put a pencil in their mouth sometimes?

For Moody Monday, my favorite pose store, aDORKable Poses, has the Learning Curve desk set. The desk & chair are color change, and there are 5 poses for the prop. Love love love. For those of you who are doing the Harry Potter roleplay thing, you should totally get this!!

Every summer I think about cutting my hair short. But I don't really have the facial structure for it and considering I cry when my hair is cut to my shoulders, I don't think a short cut would be for me. But luckily I can have the pretty little cuts I love, but without the long term commitment.

The new Juliette hair from Truth is so so sweet! Just this adorable shaggy little cut with a darling little headband. It's simple, but that makes it perfect.

Simplicity truly is my word for the summer. :)

Kouse Singh recently got married, but she's back and designing away! [Have I mentioned she's doing my wedding dress for me? Squee!!] The new Gabrielle gowns from Kouse's Sanctum are just utterly gorgeous. If you do any kind of medieval/renaissance/fantasy stuff in SL, you simply must get this gown. Hell, get it anyway and go frolick in meadows or go dancing so you can see it twirling around. I'm wearing it in Forest, and there are several colors available. Pretty pretty pretty!

Did you hear the news? Collabor88 starts TOMORROW!!! What is it? The Luna bustier and skirt from Ingenue are so ladylike and precious! And the sculpt work on the skirt is just oh-so-wonderful! Just look at the detailed pleats! When I was putting together this outfit, it felt almost hippie to me. Free love and dance in the flowers and that sort of thing. But hey, who couldn't stand a little peace, love, Simon & Garfunkel in their life on occasion, am I right?

I really like the Crochet Halters from Leri Miles Designs. They are pretty much on the skimpy side, which is perfect for the summer season. But if you wear something that bare on top, you need to wear something longer on the bottom so that you balance it out. Well, unless you're going for a whole different kind of look, I guess. I paired it with some Low.Rise Jeans from fri.day and wouldn't you know? The belt from the Navy Cords from [Tia] fit the look perfectly. I love when I can use other pieces to make whole new looks!

Another Hot Weekend

Not THAT kind of hot, you dirty people! :-p We're on our 35th consecutive day of it being over 100 degrees [37 celsius to you non-US folks]. It's HOT. It's the kind of hot where all you do is stay inside because going outside makes you feel like your face is going to melt off. Luckily in SL, I don't have to deal with that kind of heat in the summer. And my lovely outfit from Stellar makes me hope for summer forever!

Adorable Lexi Morgan gave me this for my birthday, so I know I don't have to blog it, but since I haven't taken it off for over 24 hours, you know that I love it! Anything I love, I want to share with you all! The new Brynn shirts are just fluffy sculpted deliciousness. The straps are texture, so you don't have to worry about fitting to your shoulders or worry about flashing nipples when you teleport in somewhere and your top doesn't rez right away. The sculpted part is very very easy to resize if you need to do it. I just love how fluffy it looks! Combined with the Bermuda Jeans, it's summer goodness! The jeans have a great rolled cuff, and they are low rise, but not so low that you are flashing crack to the world. Always a plus in my book! Both the shirts and the jeans come in different colors, but naturally I suggest fatpacking them both, as you will want everything!

I'm going to go drink a big glass of iced tea now....and pray for rain!

Comfort Zone

I haven't had the desire to fashion blog much lately because quite frankly, I've been happy in my comfort zone of jeans, tees, and sandals. Can I blame summer for my rut? But sometimes to remember where you want to go, you have to push yourself out of your comfort zone. And for someone who is perfectly happy in old shorts and sandals, a new dress and new heels were just the way to go! No big descriptions here today, because it's 105 degrees and that doesn't make me feel like writing. It never fails. You run out to the store for just eggs or milk, not looking your absolute best, and sure enough, you run into someone you know! It's happened to me more times than I can count! Oh. That doesn't speak very well of me, now does it? But no matter! At least this time, I was wearing some cute sweats!

Doppelganger Inc. just released their new Vintage Sweats and I am in love. LOVE! Super cute, super comfy, and they come in all kinds of colors. I'm wearing the white & aqua Dance sweats, but most do not have any writing on them. I think they're adorable! Be sure to pick up the pack of matching sports tanks as well, when you're picking these up. I chose to pair them up with the teal My Milkshake tank from BOOM, the Patteson flip flops from Reek, and I'm carrying my new Lisa bag from new-to-me store Leri Miles Designs. I almost haven't been able to take off the Bree hair from Truth since it came out, I love it that much.

Hm. With all these goodies I'm wearing, maybe I don't have to be so embarrassed to run to the store for eggs after all!

If I Could Escape

I got totally excited last weekend because I thought it was time for Spruce Up Your Space. I was wrong, though, because it's THIS WEEKEND!! The theme for SUYS this month is Coastal Cozy and that's totally a theme I can get down with! Plus, my favorite prefab store, Funky Junk, is in it! Check out the gorgeous house, aptly named My Seaside Escape.

Isn't it wonderful?? My pictures honestly don't do it justice! The house has a spacious entry way, large living room area, an extra room that I turned into a kitchen, but could be used as a bedroom or study, and a bedroom upstairs. To get to that one, you have to go outside on the little patio and take the steps up! It also comes with beach grass in the window boxes and some nautical accessories. The pictures I took of the rooms are probably better viewed over on my Flickr where you can see them bigger. I also didn't get a picture of the entry way because I suck.

My Seaside Escape will be on sale at Funky Junk this weekend for the low low price of $150L. At that price, how could you not buy it??? The house and accessories together come in at 177 prims, and without the accessories, it's 137 prims.

I don't know about you guys, but I would love to just get away for a weekend! But since I can't, SL is the next best thing. Especially with all the newness this weekend!!

For Lazy Sunday today, you can stop over at Ingenue and pick up this really cute Little Angel t-shirt. It even has little wings drawn on the back. So precious! There are other designs and colors as well, so run over quickly! And of course a weekend isn't complete without something new from Truth. The new Bree hair is gorgeous! A side swept long long ponytail, Truth is awesome and did both regular and split attachments. Of course, you might not need the split attachments if you use the new Hairy Situations long hair poses from Long Awkward Pose! More long hair poses, please!!

Oh, do you like the house I'm standing in front of? You want to see more?

For the Knitting Circle Bake Sale this weekend, you can get the My Getaway house from Funky Junk. It's SO freaking cute! It's tiny, just the perfect size for a cozy beach getaway. I'm showing the stilted version, which comes in at a small 83 prims. If you're not one for stilts, the included non-stilted version is just 68 prims. It has a 7x13 footprint, so even a 512 parcel of land can carry it off. Buy it!

I love summer weekends when you can just throw on something casual and go. And with new jeans from Zaara and new flip flops from SLink, summer casual never looked so pretty!

Yes, you heard right. Zaara came out with new jeans! Her old jeans were some of my favorites in SL for a long time, but the new Classic Jeans are even better than the old ones! With her trademark fantastic textures and 4 different cuffs, these are a total must have for your wardrobe.

The new Shaz Platform flip flops from SLink are just amazing. Really, there's almost no other word to describe them. You can choose to wear yours with flower or frog accents. Or both, if that's how you roll! You absolutely need these this summer!

I will admit, now that most of what I had to do this month is over, I'm getting wedding fever! And you know who else is getting wedding fever? Kouse Singh of Kouse's Sanctum! She has a good reason, though. She's getting married on July 16th!! YAY!! To celebrate this, she has a big big sale in the bridal department of her shop!

Kouse really does amazing work, and even if you're not getting married NOW, you should still go pick up some wedding gowns since they're only $75L! Yes, that's right! I'm wearing the Lynet gown in this photo, and it's just so so pretty!! White is one of my favorite clothing colors to wear but it's not always easy to find good crisp white in SL. Kouse is amazing with it, though!

Easy Breeze

Are you looking for that perfect tiny beach house for your parcel? Yes? Then look no further than Funky Junk at the Designers Remix!

Breeze is just so sweet and open. It's just great for setting up on your beach, or take it lakeside, or you could even sink it down a bit and put it in a forest setting. It's really versatile! And really, you can do anything inside because it's one big room.

The Breeze is 70 prims [104 with the fireplace and other accessories] and has a 10x15 footprint, so it will fit smaller parcels.

The Secret Store is a store that I really like! The clothing is often quite classy, like these new Flared Pants, which I am wearing in Cream. Oh, I just love a good high waisted pair of pants! I do like low rise, but a nicely cut pair of high waisted pants make you look so shapely and elegant. You really MUST have these for your wardrobe. In fact, you probably need the entire new collection at The Secret Store!

I'm still having way too much fun playing with Depth of Field on the LL viewer! But that is okay, because really, the background isn't as important as my outfit, right? Right!

There were some goodies released this weekend! From G Field, these utterly lovely Lucy lace tops are necessities for anyone's wardrobe. You can wear them short or longer, and with or without the torso prim. So very ladylike! And the best part is that these truly will take you from summer to winter, depending on how you style them. Love!

But although we DO strive to be ladies sometimes, we don't want to be prudes, and that's where the fun, flirty, and really short Mani skirt from perennial favorite Nyte n Day comes in. I simply LOVE this skirt. It is sculpted, but so very very easy to fit with either the resizer script or by hand. I used the resizer and it worked great! Several colors are available, and trust me, I'll be going back to pick more up!

Ispachi Audrey Is Coming!

I'm always a little "Eeee!" when someone asks me to blog skins. I LOVE new skins, but I've always been better at blogging shoes than skins. And let's face it, many other bloggers do skin reviews way better than I do. But! I adore being asked, and I adore it more when I actually love the skin as much as I love the new Audrey skin by Ispachi!

The pictures are shot in the CalWL windlight setting only [no shadows] and have not been retouched in Photoshop. How they're shot is exactly how I see them.

This skin is so soft and feminine. The shading is very lovely and natural without the harsh highlights you can find on so many skins. I really kind of wanted to just run my hand over my body because the skin just looks so very baby soft.

There are 12 pretty makeups, too, ranging from soft and light to more of an edgy look.

The brows on the skin are a dark brown, but there is a tattoo layer to make them lighter, which I am wearing in my pictures. The skins come with regular and cleavage versions, plus bald and with hair. I'm wearing the Milk tone, which is the palest.

The Audrey skin comes out at Ispachi this Saturday, and I hope you love it as much as I do!

Part Of Your World

Most of my friends know that I'm totally and completely in love with shopping for home furniture and decor. Seriously. I love it more than shopping for shoes, and you guys know how I love shoes! Luckily, my wifey humors me and when I yell "I NEED A NEW HOUSE!" she obliges and builds something perfect for all my furniture. The newest house from Funky Junk, Ariel, is utterly perfect for the summer!

An awesome beach house up on stilts, the Ariel home is open and inviting, with two large rooms, a great loft, and a charming sunroom. Trust me, I have spent many evenings in the sunroom watching the sunset! I do, of course, have a million pics for you all. Remember, these are just "serving suggestions" as to what you can do with the rooms. I always urge you to put your own style in your living space!

The Ariel home comes in at 145 prims, or 161 with the added decor of a lifesaver ring, boat oars, rusted nautical star, and a lantern full of pretty shells. My house is in the Mist color, and it also comes in Kelp, a soft green.

Hit The Resort

My friend Rylan has been vacationing at a resort this past week [so jealous!] and when I tried on this new dress by Acid & Mala, I could just see myself on a lovely tropical resort in it!

The Wild & Chic dress is pretty awesome, especially if you enjoy animal print. I just love the ruffled collar and the gold belt! Plus it made me feel totally tall and lean. I know, that's easy to fix in SL by changing your shape, but go with me here. :-p This dress is just $75L this weekend for the Taste Of SL, so you will want to hurry on over and grab it quick!

JWoww Would Love It

Okay, I'll admit it. I LOVE Jersey Shore. I know, isn't that awful? But I can't seem to help it! And JWoww is probably my favorite of the Shore kids because I love that she's cute and mean all at the same time. And, as Snooki puts it, "She looks like the ultimate stripper." When I saw the new teeny tiny shorts and halters from BOOM, I knew that JWoww would run there first if she were in SL.

The Feel Free shorts are extra tiny and definitely have some buttcheek going on in the back! But for a day on the beach, they're perfect! And the lovely Thrill halters are just too cute for words! They are completely sculpted, but come with a "bust shadow" layer that covers your nips up, so you don't have to worry about showing the farm if you don't rez immediately. The tops are mod, but there are several sizes in the pack so you can get a good fit.

And can we talk about my hair for a moment? The new June style from Truth is JUST my kind of hair. Long, straight, and with a thick fringe of bangs. Total love! There are actually two styles - the bangs I'm wearing here, and then a long sideswept style. Both are gorgeous, but would you expect anything less?

I have to go. I just feel like eating ham and drinking water. Ham.

Banana Beauty

Do you ever see a color and it just sparks a visual for you that no matter what you do, you can't get it out of your head? The new Gloria wedges from Nardcotix in yellow made me think of bananas! I'm craving bananas [or a banana daiquiri] really badly!

[Please don't look at the line on the wall. I took the photo too big and that always gives me a big line on the picture. It's NOT the texture of the wall at all!!]

Look at how cute these shoes are! From the side they do look chunky, but if you see them from the back, the wedge is fairly slim. And hey, any shoe that is cute and I don't have to try to tint to my skin is A-OK in my book! The Gloria wedges come in a bunch of colors, so go pick them up!

I knew immediately that the Blowey dress from The Sea Hole was going to be the one that I wore with these shoes, and as a happy coincidence, this color - Zebra Goldenrod - happens to be on sale for $50L! Score one for ME! This dress is completely sculpted, and comes with an alpha to hide your butt [God, I wish I had a butt alpha in RL!], but if you're worried about showing the goodies while you rez somewhere, it's high enough that you can put your favorite strapless bikini or bra top on underneath. It comes with a matching hair flower.

Never underestimate the power of legs

So my wife made me a new house! And naturally that means I'm a decorating fool right now since I will be blogging it once it's decorated, but I had to stop for a bit and show you guys my outfit! Never underestimate the power of a short dress and a great pair of heels!

From Hucci comes this absolutely hot Summer Babydoll dress, which I'm of COURSE wearing in pink! The skirts come in either plain or with stripes. I bet this would look good with some jeans or capris underneath as well, if you're not into showing that much leg. Really lovely!

And oh my gosh, did you guys SEE the new Lulu heels from SLink? I love love love strappy sandals, and these heels are totally summer fierce. The heel is a sharp stiletto so if that new summer love gets in your way, you can cut them with your vicious, vicious words, and then stab them with your shoe. Or not. But you need the shoes, trust me!

Happy June 1st, readers! I've been happily terraforming and getting my land ready for summer, but of course one MUST still be fashionable while making sand dunes and islands, am I right?

G Field, which we all know is probably in my top 5 favorite stores list, came out with these totally adorable Puff Sleeve Tops recently and this is definitely a summer staple for me this year! Tiny, but still modest, with sweet lace detailing [there is also a top without the lace included], small puffed sleeves, and a great criss-cross [jump! jump!] back. You need it, you want it, you must have it.

I paired it up with the awesome new I "less than 3" My Jeans from Acid & Mala and the Fae Wedges in Pink & White Plaid [which looks more lavender to me] that were a very generous group gift from Pixel Mode. I can't do the actual less than 3 without my blog thinking I'm doing HTML! Oh, and the jeans are unisex, by the way, and come in both low rise and regular rise.

You pretty much want all of this stuff. You really do. :)

There are two constants in my fashion SLife: I love shoes and I love basics. And that Gospel Voom, wouldn't you know it? He managed to combine both - and then made it BETTER!

The new Gos Pimp Your Pumps are, without a doubt, my favorite new thing in SL! Coming in 9 unique styles, these are so so so customizable, it's insane. Each style has 15 colors and 6 accents [currently bows], and you can play for ages just making colors to match your outfits! The shoes are also ultra low lag, so you never have to worry you're lagging up a sim by wearing your pretty shoes!

Everything is menu driven by just clicking on your shoes, so no need to fiddle with any HUDs, and since there are no prim feet in the shoes, you don't have to worry about matching skin. A-MAZ-ING. These do NOT have invisiprims, since if you're not using alphas, you're way behind [kidding! well, kind of.], so make sure you're on a viewer where you can use alphas, which I think all of them do now anyway.

The Gos Pimp Your Pumps will be released on Sunday [tomorrow!!] and I KNOW you guys will just love love love them! In the future, more accent and texture packs will be released, since you know Gos is all about options. This is just the beginning!

Shoe Fair Thank You!

I was going to do this really epic thank you post thanking all the designers who were kind enough to send me shoes to blog for the Shoe Fair this year. By the way, did you all know we raised $1,174,769L this year?? Amazing! But after rezzing some shoes out, it looked like I just like to cut feet off, and then when I turned shadows on, my hair looked crazy, and...well, here you go.

I'd love to say Truth did those streaks just for me, but well, SL was my colorist this time. *sigh*

ANYWAY.

I wanted to thank the Shoe Fair designers who were so amazing to me this year! I was utterly impressed with everything you did, and I absolutely enjoyed talking to all of you, even if we were just playing the offlines game! :) I am deeply apologetic to any of you that I was unable to blog due to some unforeseen real life circumstances, and believe me, your work WILL be included in this blog in the future.

The Shoe Fair may be over for this year, but I am certainly not finished shopping for shoes!

Purrfect 10 Florence

Purrfect 10's Florence sandals are just what you'd expect - Perfect! When you need a strappy heeled sandal, but dainty thin straps just won't cut it, these are the ones you will want to run to pick up.

With wide straps, a good ankle band, and a thin lace up front, these beauties look as good with jeans as they do with your slinkiest dress. Purrfect 10 does something wonderful, too, in that all of their shoes can be dyed black [either the whole shoe or pieces] so it's really like getting two pairs in one!

All the colors in the shoe, including the colors to tint your feet, are done by menu, not by HUD. There is a Skin Toner to help you tint your feet, and it's really quite simple. Even if you are new to the skin matching process, you should not have much trouble at all getting these to match any skin.

I truly believe that summertime is just MADE for sexy, strappy, beautiful heels. If these Caprice heels aren't on your feet this summer, you are missing out!

Sleek and slim, these heels have a lovely wooden base with some nice metal studs. The feet are nice and feminine, with a cute little toe ring. The well designed HUD allows for some customization on colors of the soles and metals, along with letting you change your nail polish. There are 12 preset skin colors, as well as the ability to enter the RGB numbers for your skin for a better match. I used the ColorCop program to find the RGB of my skin and I think it came out pretty well! A notecard is included with some of the more popular skin tone numbers so you shouldn't have too much of an issue getting your skin to match. The Caprice heels come in 14 colors, but considering how many outfits you could pair them with over the coming summer months, you will probably just want to fatpack these darling heels.

The Open Boots "Vilda" are just so gorgeous. A great pump with a slouchy little cuff, it also has a feather decoration that is removable. And get this - The fatpack of 10 colors is only $1000L! Some shoes cost way more than that for just one pair!

Reek Raid Light Ups

It’s not always easy to find a nice pair of trainers that aren’t Chuck style or that don’t make your feet look like boats. Riq Graves of Reek has managed to do it, though, with his new Raid Light Ups. Oh, these are just too cute for words! You don’t just get an amazing pair of sneaks, but true to their name, they have little flashes of light when you walk! I can’t even tell you guys how long I spent walking around just to watch my shoes.

The shoes come with sizes for both men and women, but of course are able to be resized so that you get your perfect fit. The nifty little HUD allows for over 20 color options, plus 5 presets. Honestly, you can customize these to your heart’s content. I just went with a preset for this photo because it was pretty!

Turning Up Spring

I really love new designers. Well, let me clarify that statement even more. I really love new designers when they're GOOD. When Tia Biscuit [how cute is that name?] popped up in my IM box last night, I was happy to accept some of her work. And when it turned out to be cute things that are just my style? Well, it was 10 times better!

From Tia, I'm wearing the Turnups Cords. I just love the splash of color from the belt and the cuffs! The cuffs and the belt are color change with 4 different color palettes. Really really cute! I am wearing them in the Spring color to match my ToteBag, which is also in Spring. I really love when designers make accessories that match their clothing! Oh, and the best part? Although the pants are low rise, they go up in the back so you're not being tacky and showing butt crack! Love!

Lapointe & Bastchild - Dita Candy

Last year I took 2 weeks off while working on the Shoe Fair blog, but I figure if other people are cross-posting, then I will too! :) I'm sorry if you see this twice.

Bootgasm. That’s a word I’ve heard a lot before, but it really takes a special boot to really make me say it. The Dita Candy boots from Lapointe & Bastchild speak to everything dramatic, elegant, and fierce that is in me, and yes, it’s totally a bootgasm situation!

The sleek leather bootie is topped by a buckled pinstripe cuff, and the stripes are able to be changed to 10 different colors via HUD. [11 if you count the default black, which is what I am wearing in the photo.] The boots have a lovely menu system for fitting, as well, and you can really get the perfect fit for you.

Can you see why I said bootgasm? Trust me, if these aren’t on your feet soon, you are going to be incredibly sorry!

So my friends Rylan and Sixx got married last night. Congratulations, you guys!! Since I DJed for them, naturally my mind has been on almost nothing but wedding for the past week. When Kouse Singh came out with some new dresses, I squealed over the white ones because they were just so bridal! Check out the Daniella gown.

Beautiful, beautiful. That's all I can really say about this lovely gown. I didn't even have to wear any accessories [um...or shoes] because it's just so pretty all on its own. So pretty! The full avatar package is truly a great deal because you get the Katie skin, different sized shapes, the Emilia hair, eyebrow bases, eyes, cleavage tats, and lingerie.

And what skin fair is complete without Curio? The new May skin is just so lovely!

I'm wearing this on my own regular shape and I just adore it! There are 12 makeups and of course the Megapack is a real bargain because you get alllll the skin tones and makeups. The only thing that would make this even better in my eyes is if there were blonde eyebrows! Please, Gala? PLEASE???

Again from Jane comes another lovely new spring dress called Bliss. Oh bliss indeed! Stripes, flowers, bright colors? I could not ask for more.

You know I'm a sucker for a great pair of flip flops, and the new Patteson flip flops from Reek are just wonderful! They come in all kinds of colors and truthfully, the best thing you could do is fatpack them because these will last you all summer long.

And fresh from Adam n Eve comes the very lovely Paige skin! Take a closer look at the face. It is too sweet for words.

The skin in the photo is completely unedited by me, so what you see is what you get. And I think we can all agree that what you get is darling! Each skin tone [I'm wearing it in Natural] comes with 6 lipstick tattoos, 4 eyeshadow tattoos, freckles tattoo, manicure and pedicure layers, cleavage and eyebrows. Last night I was saving this outfit to my inventory and my boyfriend logged in. I went to type "Hey baby" in chat, but ended up saving the outfit under that name. So there you go! Hey, baby!

Aphrodite Outlander of Perse is back in action after a hiatus and she's delivered the goods with the new Kharen dress! The dress itself is cocktail length, and really beautiful, but what I really like about it is that you can also use the top as a shirt! You guys know how I adore options! If you'd like to see it as a dress, the lovely Rose Farina has it on her blog.

Also brand new this week are the new Mia wedges by SLink. Are these not gorgeous? You also get the option of changing the leather around the ankles and toes to brown or black, and the metal bits can change as well. I had to resize them down because they were slightly big on me, but they resize very well!

Sometimes you don't want to be classy or high fashion or anything except for cute! Luckily, that's super easy to do in Second Life - especially lately!

Have you been to Project Fur Japan yet? No? WHY??? I picked up this Rabbit Stamp shirt from Ange at Project Fur, and I just love it! [This SLurl should take you directly to the vendor.] It comes with 2 colors in the pack and is only $50L, so really, it's a heck of deal for so much cute.

Speaking of Project Fur AND cute, look at my HAIR! Truth's BabyDoll hair is inspired by the movie Sucker Punch, and I'm SO glad he made it because I was 2 seconds away from jumping in his IM to pester him about it. Ms. Janie Marlowe has made with the goodies again this week and oh, what a week it is at Jane! I absolutely fell in love with this darling little Patchwork Dress!

This strapless sundress is just precious! I love the texture. The subtle print of flowers and butterflies makes this perfect for spring. Oh Janie, how you appeal to my girly girl side!

Do you like my petals? They come from aDORKable Poses' Petals In The Wind set for Chic Limited this month. The set contains 4 petals props with poses and each one is sooo cute and so awesome for pictures! There are actually 8 petals props because you get to choose between the pink and white petals, or the grayscale petals that you can tint. Guess which one I chose? :)

BoHo, baby!

This month's Spruce Up Your Space theme is So BoHo! I got utterly giddy when I heard the theme because that's a style I like a whole lot! And I got even more excited when I found out Funky Junk was going to be in it. Look at this CUTE little house Ulaa made for the event!

Isn't it just adorable? Well, if you think this is good - let's take a look inside!!

The living room is large and spacious with a fun wallpaper! Lots of room to pack in your favorite stuff. The fireplace facade with the art and stuff on top is also included in your BoHo Cottage, but is of course removable if you need to save on prims. If you look at the two Fondant Poufs in the middle of the room, those are from LISP Bazaar, on sale for SUYS this weekend as well.

I set up this room as a kitchen/dining area. The large windows have a really cool soft colored texture that tie in with the wallpapers in the house, and with the stained glass in the house.

And of course, what's a house without a bedroom? I wasn't quite sure about this wallpaper when I first saw it, but I gotta say, it totally grew on me. It's just so different and so ... boho! The Mia Palette Bed that I'm laying on is from Mudhoney and is also for SUYS this weekend. It's so sweet, and fits into this house SO well.

The Funky Junk BoHo Cottage comes with 2 sets of texture change drapes, 3 pieces of wall art, the fireplace mantle, and a scripted porch light. It is 99 prims rezzed by itself, 172 with all the extra goodies. Everything is copy/mod, no transfer.

Spruce Up Your Space for this weekend is only a few more hours, but I'm pretty sure you'll be able to pick up these items at regular price after the weekend is over if you miss it. At any price, it's something you've got to have!

The Orient Express

Do you like to travel? I do, but I've never been on a train before. At least, not a beautiful, luxurious train.

From Belle Belle's line of Bliss Boxes comes The Orient Express! Oh, it is a marvel! 799 prims of wonderful, this train is exactly how you would expect a beautiful, old fashioned, 1920s train to look. You'd be riding in style in this!

There are also poses in the passageway as well, and in the cute little bathroom, which I didn't get a photo of.

The Orient Express is 799 prims, copy, no mod and no transfer. It comes with the Bliss Box Cloud so that you can ride the cloud up into the sky to rez, then touch the telephone in the car to call the cloud down when you're ready to leave the train. It's really a marvelous system!

I am so excited! One of my friends, QueenKellee Kuu, is back in SL and has reopened her store - Royally! Kellee is pretty awesome, and she's reopened with items for the Pacific Crisis Fundraiser. I HAD to go buy this outfit because not only is it darling, it's named after me!!

This is the Alicia ballet outfit, and it is simply too cute for words! The outfit comes with 3 different style skirts, and they are able to change colors. Love love love!

The Pacific Crisis Fundraiser starts at 12am SLT! Even more creators have put items in there since yesterday. It's AMAZING. And all the designers have at least one item that has 100% of the proceeds going to UNICEF, so really, how can you NOT shop? The fundraiser hasn't even been open except for bloggers & designers and has already earned over $1300 USD!!

This dreamy little Off Shoulder Gauze Tunic from Aoharu is just so sweet. I absolutely love it. And really, you could dress it up or down, which is something I always look for when buying outfits. My love of my SLife says I don't do enough lingerie posts. I'm not the lingerie type, but for him I'll make an exception. Truthfully, I don't have a lot of lingerie. I don't feel like I can pull off the look very well. Let's face it, I'm not the "sexy" type! But the new Dotty bra and panty set from Reasonable Desires lets my cute side stay, with just a touch of sex appeal!

Adorable, right?? I really like it because it COVERS things. That's my biggest issue with most lingerie in SL. If I wanted to be naked, I'd just be naked. Check out the back of the panties. Sheer, but with a lot of coverage. Love!

And check out my amazing shoes! They're the Edith shoes from Nardcotix, which I'm wearing in silver.

I have been complaining about not having great strappy heels for a while now, but these are so very perfect! I was able to match my skin really super easily as well with the HUD, and honey, let me tell you - that right there makes these worth their weight in gold for me.

Guess what starts this weekend? Fashion For Life! You may remember this as being the RFL Clothing Fair in the past, but it's a bit different this year, and you can read about it on their website. But it is still a charity event for the American Cancer Society. :) I'm not one of the official bloggers, but Sachi Vixen of Adam n Eve was kind enough to allow me to give you all a sneak peek!

I've been seeing a lot of high waisted pants in SL lately, and I LOVE it. Check out the Jenica pants! High waisted with buttons, these pants give you some rockin' curves! Seriously, I stood and stared at my butt for a long time. And don't my legs look just a mile long?? I paired it up with the Cataloon shirt, which gave the whole look almost a retro vibe to me, but still fresh and feminine. I love the ruffles on this shirt, it's just precious!

Well isn't this embarrassing? I was partying on Bourbon Street and then found myself in the swamps of Louisiana. At least I look cute, right?

Eboni Khan of Hucci just released these new Carrie tanks, and I could not be more in love with them! The sculpted prim flows out just perfectly, and it's low cut to show a lot of sexy cleavage. The tanks come in all kinds of prints and colors, and believe me, these will definitely be going in my summer staples rotation!

I really love the classic simplicity of black and white. You can combine them to look completely elegant, or very casual, but it's always a very clean combination that really works.

New from Jane today comes this very pretty Francie - So Innocent blouse. It's just adorable! It has fun puffy sleeves and a little lace detail on the front. It also has 2 different long sculpts that you can wear if you're not tucking it under something. But I simply had to wear it under the Francie Shorts! These are high waisted to give you awesome curves, and you can wear them with or without suspenders. You'll also find other Francie tops and bottoms at Jane today. All of them are just wonderful!

And new from Elikatira today is this really pretty and casual hair called Just. Just is right, because when I saw it, I just had to have it! There is also another new hair out as well, and a new one exclusive to The Dressing Room Blue.

One last Pure Juice preview for you guys before it opens tomorrow! Aren't you excited?? This is the Pure Dress from Nemesis and I adore it. Really, when I saw it, I yelled "Oh, that's mine!" The funny thing is that it's not my typical style, but I suppose that's what I love about it. It comes with the stockings, and in two other colors. I'm wearing it in Honeysuckle. If you look closely, you can see my huge hooped Precieuse earrings by Je Suis, also for Pure Juice. I love them!

Oh, and no, I'm not switching to dark hair. I just thought it went best with this utterly lovely Melissa skin from Belleza. [Not at the event, btw.] This skin is so pretty, but it doesn't come with blonde brows [frownyface!!!!], so when I want to wear it, I have to switch to dark hair. I think it's gorgeous though, don't you?

I wasn't going to do another Pure Juice post today, but I am overdosing on Juice!

From Cool Beans comes the very aptly named Sweet Vision dress! It's just so sweet, and the matching Plain Jane pumps that come with it are anything but plain to me! So so sweet, so so adorable, and so so right for spring.

I'm wearing the Chloe dress from Elate! in Ivory & Onyx, and paired it up with the Draneun earrings and necklace from LiNe. Love love love!

I don't usually do 2 pics in one post, but you have to see the back of the dress. I simply adore dresses and shirts with low low backs and this one is perfect.
